So good I came here twice in one weekend lol. The bagels were great and they have a lot of options for cream cheese. My favorite combo was the everything bagel with scallion and garlic cream cheese. Service was quick and you are also able to place an order online and pick up.

So I've loved Bev's since the Ann Arbor pop up days. However, I was pretty disappointed with my lunch experience. I ordered the Reuben (Wagyu pastrami, sauerkraut, cooper sharp, spicy mayo) on an everything pumpernickel bagel. The flavors were good - I mean hard to go wrong with cheese, spicy mayo (talk about flavor!!) but the wagyu pastrami was like 2 pieces and SUPER tough. and it was $17?!! Salt in my wound. The bagel itself was great! My friend, who has had Bev's AM sandwiches multiple times, was also pretty "meh" about her Pink Turkey Club bagel sando (Roasted turkey, bacon, tomato, spicy mayo.). +1 for creative naming though. TL;DR - stick to the bagels here or breakfast sandwiches. It's now pretty out of the way for me, but if the Bev's Bagels team would consider making an egg bagel. I'd be here every weekend! Service was really friendly and quick. We sat out in the courtyard area.

Came here to pick up some bagels for me and a friend. There weren't too many people in line or waiting so I was pretty sure this wouldn't take long and it really didn't. I ordered a Baja Bagel on Everything. It was pretty good. I will say, the bagel itself was pretty tough. I dont know if it was just the one i got or that day but i wanted a fluffy bagel and it just didn't hit. The toppings were good. The outdoor seating was also very nice considering there is very little room inside.

I love a real bagel: hand rolled and boiled. Even better a Lox Sandwich: the fatty salmon, salty and briney capers, and the sharpness of onion atop a bagel is one my favorite sandwich creations (This sandwich lacked onion, but had tomato). Overall, Yummy sando. Zatar is a bagel flavor that seems quite novel here. Have to order next time. Poppyseed bagels are my favorite, but were out. This, went with my second favorite the everything bagel. This was was packed with flavor and seeds. Here's hoping the curse of the DIB is over.

Bev's has so many unique flavors of their bagels and spreads. I tried the over my egg body on a salt bagel with zataar and olive cream cheese. The bagel was not as fluffy as I would of liked. Also tried the furikake bagel with garlic and scallion cream cheese. This flavor combo was so good. No indoor seating, but there were tables outside.

We dropped by Bev's bagels before hitting up the Detroit beer Festival, we ordered four sandwiches and some bagels to go. I really loved all the flavors they had for their bagels and shmears. The two we tried or the chili crisp and the roasted garlic and chive. Both were really delicious. We really enjoyed the Furikaki bagels and the black pepper Parmesan bagels. The sandwich I ordered was the green chili chorizo and it was absolutely delicious..

I stopped by to grab a quick lunch and was recommended the Zaatar bagel that I paired with chili crisp spread. The flavor profile was unique and accurate,l throughly enjoyed my bagel. Service was quick and I was out in under 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend! Parking is limited so I'd recommend coming on a weekday.

Small place with counter service that's quick and efficient. Bagels are delicious with some unique flavors like za'tar and spicy kurikake. I had the egg sandwich while everyone else had the Sammie sandwiches. Pink turkey club is not pink but was flavored perfectly with spicy mayo. White fish spread was full of fresh radishes and cucumbers along with the spread. Highly recommend the place if you like dense chewy bagels.

Overall, I would like to say I enjoyed the inside of the building especially since having the nice ambiance of having a bakery, restaurant, cafe, and an amazing bagel place?! It sounds like a perfect morning to me. I quite enjoyed the bagel but I wish the bread was way softer to bite. I enjoyed the pink turkey club with my friends and we were amazed with the lemonade ( even bought a second one to take home)! We were also super glad with the service, the cashier was super helpful and even complimented my friends name! I would definitely recommend this place for a nice cup of coffee and a light breakfast! As well, if you just want to take your dog on a little walk.

I can't believe the place is still here after all of these years. There are 2 types of subs here: Italian, and "Other Subs", so you know that this shop sprang from the vibrant Italian community that once populated Detroit. The Italian Subs at Gonella's are ordered according to how many layers it builds up (which I think is a unique concept). These layered Gonella Italian Subs are layered with a variety of Italian meats (Hard Salami, Salami Cotto, Mortadella, Smoked Ham and Capicola), provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions & Gonella's homemade dressing. Soft or hard roll. Extras: Peppers (+.50) Cheese (+.50) - (Turkey is reserved for the "Other Subs). 6 Layers Meat, 1 Layer Cheese --- $8 8 Layers Meat, 2 Layer Cheese --- $9 12 Layers Meat, 2 Layer Cheese --- $12 14 Layers Meat, 3 Layer Cheese --- $13 18 Layers Meat, 3 Layer Cheese --- $14 The subs are heavy and delicious. Soft sub buns, tons of stacks of meat, lettuce and tomato or not. No one goes hungry after a sub here. Some deli spots tend to skimp on the protein, but not this place. My team members favorite is the Italian, 6 stacks. I usually will go for a turkey or chicken stack. They offer up to 18 stacks, haven't tried that yet.

I have been a big fan of corned beef and pastrami for years but my go to is on the other side of the city not to far from Dearborn, there is a couple other delis in eastern market area, one I like and the other I think is outrageous and the people there are rude, well today I was in the mood for a good corned beef on rye, got looking at a few apps I have and I come across Champs which is in Gratiot Central market where I go to buy certain meats to grill and smoke, but I never have gone there to buy prepared food, well I'll tell you it was Very Good ! The place is simple ,it is clean, they have a cool old Ford truck in there well the have half of it but none the a nice place , and the lady that waited on me was very cool, I decided I wanted Pastrami Indian it was excellent the , it was not greasy which is what I like to see it was heated just right and got slaw on it and my bread wasn't a soggy mess, I thought the price point was very good for my sandwich which also came with 2 pickles that were good and my drink, And the info I read is this is a small business this isn't corporate owned this is someone or family doing it cause they love please try support small business they need it now more than ever , I thought it was very good I hope you do as well.
