There are things that I like about this BevMo and things that I don't. This is mostly a beer section review. On the positive side they have a very good selection of beers including some harder to find and less distributed beers like Alpine. They have mostly good prices on craft beer including sale prices. The beer department here is smaller than at other locations and a little bit confusing the way it's set up. They have it by beer style instead of alphabetical order which is not as user-friendly. This is not a place for a good deal on Coors light (6 pack $6.99) or Heineken. The last source of frustration was the price tickets many were covering each other or some missing making it difficult to read or know the cost. read more

A great place to go in a pinch for alcohol. I am super spoiled by the prices at Total Wine & More and it is hard for me to walk into a BevMo without being underwhelmed. I liked their little social hour in the back of the store and they usually have friendly patrons (I couldn't find my discount card and the next person in line quickly offered his up). I don't have anything bad to say. There is always plenty of parking and they still have a decent selection of a little bit of everything. read more

I am a fan of BevMo! In Manhattan Beach, despite lower prices at Total Wine & More. They always have my spirits in stock. Easy storefront parking. Knowledgeable and friendly staff members. Great location as it's not too far from the 405 freeway. I cannot comment on their bathroom as I was not aware of public usage until I read one of my fellow yelpster's review. My biggest mistake was thinking BevMo was a discounted booze store...but it really isn't. I did a bit of price comparison between Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Bevmo...and surprisingly, BevMo came out on top as the most expensive out of the 3. Out of the beers I wanted I pick up, even Whole foods was consistently $1 cheaper than Bevmo. On our booze shopping trip, we stopped by TJ's 1st (same plaza as BevMo) and saw the 750mL Frangelico was $17.99. At BevMo, the exact same thing cost $23.99. $1 or 2 off, we would've just bought it there, but this is like $5+! So, back to TJ we went. To add insult to injury, we stupidly still picked up some 6packs from BevMo and during our 2nd trip back to TJ + stopping by Whole Foods, both places had lower prices. I cannot believe it took me this many years to get to a BevMo. The best thing is the 5 cent wine sale. It's actually going on right now. You buy a bottle of wine that has the 5 cent wine sale tag, and get the 2nd for 5 cents. You can mix and match. They even have sparkling wines as part of the promotion. Their wine, beer, liquor selection are all extensive! Very extensive. One beer I love that I always get at Rock N Brew is a Black and Blue Cider. They have it MUCH cheaper here at BevMo. CHANGE BACK THE BEER ORGANIZATION!!!! (I'm typing in caps since I'm yelling inside my head! Agghhh!) BevMo used to organize their beer by brewery, not style. This made it easy when shopping for certain breweries that I like and discovering a new style FROM THAT BREWER. It made shopping for beer easy on the eyes and easy to find. I understand the idea, but people are purist about trusting new styles from breweries they know and love. If this way of organizing the beer is going to stay, do it correctly: Why the heck would you put a BARLEYWINE under PALE ALES? It wasn't a mistake either - there were several bottles there! I could not find a section for Strong Ales/Barleywines anywhere. No wonder they just got forgotten about and placed willy nilly. There are more styles out there than Pale, Wheat, IPA, Stout, and Brown. Come on! It was pathetic. I would expect to find IPAs one section over from Pale ales... Nope. They were on the other side of the display. Use a little common sense, BevMo! You're supposed to specialize in this stuff. Get your act together... read more

I came in to grab beer and saw there was a beer tasting. After the employee was done having his conversation, he just stared at me. I told him I would like to try the beers. He asked that I contribute "change, a dollar, or at least 5 cents for the animals." I told him I didn't have cash or change as I was paying with card. He suggested I go look for some change. Simply, awestruck by this individuals customer service. You are pouring 3oz samples! I have been to the Santa Monica and Culver City location and never been told to pay for a sample. read more

Bevmo is so much different when you're finally of age to drink! Before id come here with my mom and is be lost. This place is like a playground for big kids! They have a large variety of wines, spirits, beer, ciders, liquor you name it. I really like their craft beer selection! Its fun to just designate an hour or so to read up and find a great beer. Parking is shared with fresh & easy next door but there's more than enough spots available. Its very clean and organized inside, the store itself has a nice flow. If you can sign up for the bevmo rewards card. It saves you some $$ and gives you access to tasting events etc. read more

This Rating is for Customer Service of one Cashier that has happened more than one time. Young Man but totally oblivious to other patrons standing in line, yes, I get it, you have to concentrate on your customer you are cashing out at the register, but to spend more than 10-15 minutes just gabbing and talking, then you tell him you will carry his box of liquor to the car and leave us standing in line, omg really????? Most of us are on our lunch break here, very rude and terrible, and this has happened more than once with this young man, should of got his name from his Badge but was in a rush, I ended up going to the next Cashier and standing in another line. Managers you really need to have a heart to heart staff meeting informing your staff of proper customer service. I wont be coming back to this BEVMO, the one in Torrance is much better. BTW, the Cashier who was working on 12/19/19 around 10:00 is the one you need to talk to!!! read more

I remember the first time I visited BevMo. It wasn't what I expected, yet it was an an interesting view. Yes it was more than what I thought to see. They have snacks and a variety of many imported items. I found an imported piece I was looking for, without any intensions of finding it here. The people are great and helpful at this location. Bevmo is always a great place to stock up on adult beverages. I stopped by this particular location because it was near work and I wanted to pick up some beers for a few different gatherings I had planned for the weekend. Parking: Parking is easy. It is located in the large shopping area right off Rosecrans and Aviation. There are plenty of spots available. Service: The service is quick and helpful. They always have someone around willing to help you find what you are looking for. Product: Bevmo always carries a large variety of wines, beers and spirits. Lately I started shopping at Total Wines, but I came into Bevmo because it is the only place that carries Cable Car Beer (amber ale). I recently tried it from some friends and loved it. Apparently they have an exclusive agreement with Bevmo. So it looks like I'll be shopping here more often! read more

This Bevmo is a little tucked away to the side of the shopping plaza. But it is no different than any other Bevmo. Parking is easy since it's harder to find. Staff is great and so are their selection of wine. There isn't much about this location that is any different than other stores. It may be a bit smaller but it isn't noticeable. read more

One of my favorite store ever Especially when I can afford to hit them up for the .5 Cent Wine Sale. The employees are always really nice and always seem to be very knowledgable able the stuff they're selling. It makes me wonder if they make them take a class or study wine and spirits before they're able to actually start working there. I'm always a little impressed with how much they actually know. Great selection of wines, spirits, and beer. If you're having a party, this is a great location to stop in to. Not sure if this one is bigger than the location in Torrance, but it is a nice sized store. read more

And on the 8th day god created BevMo... This is the Toy R' Us of booze. I always feel like a kid walking into a candy store when I go into BevMo. It's soooooo great to have one local and closer to work/home. This one is a lot more convenient than the Torrance location. So I went in Friday after work and I think I got away pretty cheap. You can spend some serious dough in here. I kept it on the DL: 2 bottles of champagne, a bottle of Tito's Vodka, and a 6'er of good beer. There was some really good deals in there like a 750ml of Johnnie Walker Black for $23 (wow), but then there was also some deals like $34 for a bottle of Frank Family Zin. My wine guy sells that for $29 bottle. If you want to go to one location to get everything this is the spot, but some of the wine prices weren't the best. The items in the store that were on sale were really well priced though. read more

Is easy access to 405 fwy, the store has everything, the people who work there are cool, and their wine tasting section in the back is always sampling good stuff with generous pours. Just because they had sold me my very first bottle of Vampyre Vodka. I had been searching for this little devil for over a year around my area, and it wasn't until my mom had suggested this little diamond of a store to me that I finally found the treasure that I was seeking. What can I say? It's like walking into a candy store for a kid. I must've looked slightly deranged for jogging around the store in amazement with my 18 year old ex. It said specifically at the front of the store that anyone entering the store had to be 21 years of age, and if not, he/she would have to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. I was neither to him, but he insisted. Luckily, no one paid any mind to it even though they looked at us strangely. Hell, I normally get carded for scratchcards so I was happy that I passed looking my age for once! Anyway, they have a very wide selection of alcohol from wines to Vodka. I'm not interested in wine, so we skipped right to the middle where all the Vodka was. Ciroc, GG, Smirnof, Skyy, oh lordie. I walked out feeling as if I had just died and gone to heaven. I like any store that is warehouse size and carries alcohol. Total Wine & More, Beverage Warehouse, Costco etc. this store is no exception. It is so neat and orderly, every aisle is clearly labeled. They are not the cheapest in town but the staff was extremely helpful and everything I needed was right there. I did not have to go to several stores to find my items. I picked up a loyalty card while I was there and saved six dollars immediately. If you live in the area or you were passing by I highly recommend you stop in. read more

5 cent wineeeeeee sale! That damn radio jingle sticks every time I go to BevMo! It's the best time to go during this sale because you end up going home with way more wine than you really "need" but it's just an excuse to have more dinner parties and barbecues. I end up walking every wine aisle two to three times, grabbing a summer white and a meaty red - maybe a rose if no one is looking. I like to brush through the cheeses and crackers, just because. I'm a sucker for little picnics with delicate cheeses and a crispy, chilled white wine. That said, I never walk out of this store without really making some damage. Check out is easy, and it's better if you have one of those reusable shopping bags with the wine holders inside. read more

This particular location also has an excellent staff - super willing to go out of their way to try to find my super dry basque white carbonated wine - Txacoli, my new obsession. I am not a drinker at all; I maybe drink a 1/2 glass of wine once every 2 years. I never really thought I would myself inside of a BevMo capitalizing on their 5 cent sale but that is exactly what happened today. I obviously heard the radio commercials advertising the 5 cent sale because I ended up here this morning. I walked in shortly after they opened their doors at 10am and found the store completely empty. I guess I looked lost because the cashier working immediately asked if I needed assistance, which I did. The cashier called over an older gentleman who seemed to know what he was talking about when it came to wine. I told the gentleman that I was attending a party next Thursday and did not want to show up empty handed. The gentleman asked if the folks I was bringing the wine too were 'wine snobs' I said they weren't. The gentleman suggested a particular bottle of wine that wasn't the cheapest and wasn't the most expensive but right in the middle. The winning part was that this bottle of wine qualified for the 5 cent sale so of course I bought two bottles of wine basically for the price of one. So not only will I be showing up with one bottle of wine but two. The rub on the 5 cent sale is you have to purchase another bottle of the same wine no matter of the equal or lesser value which is fine by me. During the checkout the cashier carded me which was kind of cool, guess my lotion routine is working=) This BevMo is located right next to a Trader Joe's and Fresh & Easy. This BevMo technically shares its parking lot with Fresh & Easy but not really they are in my opinion separated. This BevMo has quite a bit of parking and could never imagine it be at capacity even during Thanksgiving time. I found the inside of this BevMo to have a HUGE selection of wines. You name the wine and they probably have it. This store had hardwood floors and was absolutely spotless which is quite shocking because this place is HUGE, lots of floor space I did not see a single bottle with trace evidence of dust. If and when I ever have the need to purchase a bottle of wine I will without question come back here for help. read more

How can you not love this place? It's pretty much Disneyland for adults, and with several more locations to boot! We've always been a fan of wandering the beer and wine aisles. I lived in Chile a bit, and I find their international selection to be a cut above most other stores. I can find a number of Carmanere, a Chilean speciality, in Bevmo for example! It's also got countless beer selections that appease a palate that runs from a good Belgian wheat to an IPA or dark brown or amber. Most recently, we've been going to Bevmo to find our alcohol for our wedding and get this: the 5 cent wine sale (buy a bottle regular price get the 2nd for 5 cents on select wines) can be used for weddings. What's more, if you're a club member, you get a 5% off coupon once you spend $250 and Bevmo let's you use that discount on a large volume order like a wedding. Finally, anything over $500, they'll deliver for free and deliver chilled. We did some wine tasting there and Aaron, the dude who oversees all that for them knows his stuff. We got to taste some good wines, and are walking into our wedding with wines and beers specific to who we are, at a price that is hard to beat! This BevMo is pretty bad. I went to the store and was turned away because I didn't do an online order. Other people were making orders at the front and I asked why they could and I couldn't, frustratedly the employee begrudgingly said ok. I asked for a specific six pack, they checked, then said they didn't have it. I went online and ordered it through the app, waited a little longer, the they came out and said their website wasn't updated with what they have. It was all a huge bummer experience. I know we're going through some hard times but the management/organization here is pretty lame. read more

First time here and was a bit disappointed. Employees there were not very helpful. I was looking for a cart and had my hands full and not one employee asked to help. Once I got myself a cart, I went looking up and down the Isle lookin confused because I couldn't find a product. I went waking towards an employee and they turned the other way. Frustrating.
