I asked this nail salon for simple white almond acrylic nails and it went horribly. You're probably wondering how they could possibly mess up the most simple nails you could ask for? First off when the lady was drilling my nails she kept on drilling on to my skin around my nails beds. Then while she was putting on the before coat of nail polish some of it got into the parts of the skin around my nails she drilled. It burned extremely and irritated my skin. Next when she was putting on the nail polish (keep in mind she never confirmed if it was the right color she just grabbed a random white) I noticed it was clear and you could clearly see my nails under it. But I waited to see if the color would build up and finally after 3 coats it was still see through and it was not even white it was beige and the same color and my skin tone. It was very clearly not white and not even an off white. Biggest waste of $65. read more

This isn't my first time here and it definitely won't be my last. I made appointments for my tween daughter and I to get deluxe pedicures. We arrived and were immediately taken to our chairs where we had probably the best pedicures we have ever had at this location. We have never left disappointed with our pedicures here but this was definitely put in the record books. They took their time providing quality service! We were even offered beverages. Our feet went from looking rough to looking sandal ready. The foot and calf massage on top of the chair massages had us fully relaxed. Sooo, I've been coming to this salon since 2016. When I walk in I know what I want & I know what to expect. I'm generally satisfied with my services more times than none. There has only been 2 times I was completely unsatisfied, however, my nails were fixed prior to leaving. Today, my 4 year old and I went to get our nails done and we had a great experience! We walked in when it wasn't busy and they started on us right away. My nail tech was True, he's so cool and my fav! I love the way my nails turned out and we have great conversation. My daughter got gel nails with another tech - Bc I wanted them to last longer - but 4-5 of them peeled off while she was in the bathtub. She was sooo sad and considering the amount of money we paid, I was not expecting that. We will be returning for them to fix it. So I went in today for a mani pedi and it will be the last time I ever go to this place. The people were cold and rude, not to mention super shady. They continue to try to upsell after you have already told them exactly what you want, then they ask you why?!?! Really? Went in for a gel polish change and regular polish change on my toes. I had dip powder when I went in (on my natural nails) and they decided to charge me an extra $10 to take that off. I asked why and the technician said bc it takes longer to soak off. I've never been to a nail salon where they charge extra for that. It's the same process as soaking off gel polish... remember these are my natural nails so no extra steps needed. We went back and forth for a minute and that was her only response.. was bc it takes a litter longer to soak off. As we were going back and forth, she's already in the process of filing my nails and asked "do you still want it".. well obviously! I'm not gonna going to walk out with my nails looking like this. She painted my nails (toe nails as well) very poorly, the shape was horrible and she cut my nails way shorter than I wanted without asking me! But had a slight attitude when I told her I wanted my toe nails to be cut. She took off the polish and was just gonna start painting.... usually you ask if the customer wants to cut down. I went here to get a set of gel nails (french manicure) put on and I was pretty disappointed. The man who completed my nails seemed rushed and the end result was not great. Lesson learned, I won't go to that gentleman again. Less than 2 days later, my nails started to flake and chip and generally didn't look good, so I went back. They fixed them for free, but the new man who (I believe was an owner or manager) completed them the second time seemed irritated, spoke to one of the other ladies throughout my entire manicure and generally made me feel very uncomfortable. I never received an apology, just some glaring looks from manicurist #1. Believe me when I tell you, I have been in the service industry most of my life and treat fellow SI'ers with respect and kindness. Had they treated me with a little more of the same, I would not be so harsh with my review. But in every industry, things will go wrong, it is inevitable, but it is how you react to those instances that shows how you really value your customers. read more

Worst experience. My best friend and I decided to go get pedicures. First, we decided to get the exact same pedicure and started at the exact same time and somehow the ladies were doing our pedicures totally different than one another. I already had gel on my toes so instead of the electronic file or wrapping them, my lady literally used cuticle cutters to PEEL the gel off of my toenails. This led to my nails not being even so when she painted the fresh coat of gel there were bumps. It was the worst pedicure ever. It was rushed (if my fiancé notices that we were done super quick, then that is a problem). My feet feel like I already need another pedicure because of how the dry skin is peeling off of them. Then, when I am checking out she tells me " if you don't like your nails you can come back" .... clearly you knew you did a horrible job, why don't you do it right the first time so we DON'T have to come back. Then I was charged $60 for the worst pedicure of my life. Polish is peeling 2 days after, feet feel so rough, and feel disgusted that I paid for an experience like that. I will never go there again. I have been going to this place for a long time, since I moved to Raleigh. They are the only nail place I have been too of this type. (Not including Douglas Carroll Salon.) I usually don't have time for pedicures, but I will go in to get my toe nails trimmed and repainted. With their 20% off deal it costs me $8.. I always give them $15. So, great tip.. and I do this so they remember me. A few days ago, my husband and I went in for pedicures and both asked for the Deluxe. What a joke!! We left with our feet not in much better shape as when we arrived and they rushed and were basically very negligent of the job they were doing. And rude! While they were painting my toes, the guy started cleaning out the tub where my feet had been soaking, getting cleaning chemicals all over my legs and newly painted toes. I asked him to stop and he did begrudingly. We were never asked if we wanted a beverage as others had been and payment was basically demanded as soon as we were done, I hadn't even made it to the dryers yet. And they were NOT that busy, at all. I will NEVER go back to Beverly. They do not appreciate my business and loyalty as a customer and it's very obvious that they know who I am. Had trouble getting water that was not tepid for my foot soak, communication not acknowledged, weirded colored water put into foot bath to increase temperature?? Finally a new liner put in and water temperature more appropriate. Paid for a deluxe manicure to have minimal to none message. A few pressure points with practically no message. The dark color I had prior was not completely removed and it looks dark around the cuticles of the lighter shade. The end of my nails are rough and not polished down. I debated on giving this place 4 stars because they were friendly and spent such a long time on my nails. However, I got my mani- pedi on Saturday evening and my Sunday afternoon almost all every nail on my fingers had chipped nail polish. So, 3 stars it is. I made an appointment for 3 of us to get the Beverly mani and pedi. We arrived on time and they asked what we wanted. I told the lady at the front that we had made appointments for the Beverly mani-pedi's and she told me we could change it if we wanted or keep it the same. I asked to keep it the same because we don't get out to have our nails done that often. The spa chairs are very comfortable and we were seated quickly. However, it took about 15 minutes before anyone came over (they were busy). They did offer us cold beverages which was nice. Then someone started on my feet. 10 minutes later someone started on my moms feet, 10-15 minutes later someone started on my sisters feet. We had to remind them that we wanted the Beverly mani-pedi's. They gave us a choice between paraffin treatment on our feet of a cool seaweed wrap. My mom got the wrap and loved it. Her legs were very smooth after. My sister and I got the paraffin and my feet felt so smooth afterward. We had to remind them again that we wanted out nails done but by the time they started with the polish I realized they had forgotten that I had asked for the Beverly manicure about four times already. Oh well, their loss I suppose. The Pedi's look great on all three of us. Satisfaction is a 5 star sating. The Mani's started chipping on my sister and I less that 24 hours later. I almost went back in but by the time I was going to every nail looked awful and I decided I'd prefer not to waste my time going back to get it fixed. (the nail chipping issue may have been from the brand of nail polish). Also, the manicure wasn't much of anything. They didn't do anything to my moms cuticles (not sure if it isn't allowed in NC). Paul is fantastic and friendly. I would recommend him. The also seem to always have an opening sale. 20% off. I've been getting gel nails for months and months now at a place in Greenville and when i was home for a weekend i decided to get my nails filled and repainted at Beverly Nails and recieved the worst possible service. Not only did she seem to be hurrying but she also made it completely uncomfortable for me by using her drill file to basically defile my nails and skin. The polish which was put on poorly left bubbles which have now started to peel after only 48 hours. Usually my nails last me 3 week. These didn't even last 2 days. I did have gel nails but switched to dipping gel when I had the opportunity without having to have the gel removed (I got sick and couldn't go back for a fill-in so it was mostly off when I went back). Since last March I have only gotten my nails done once. Yesterday I decided to treat myself. Normally pampering yourself is to be relaxing but it was anything but relaxing. I went in with my mask, they asked me to wash hands first which I did. The client in the row in front of me (back to me) got up to wash hands and had NO mask. As her tech was working on another client she sat there for the entire visit talking and not wearing a mask. The older tech took her mask off and walked around the salon. She was eating and talking. I have been serviced by this business for almost a year! When they started charging a fee for the use of debit cards, I decided to pay cash. After paying cash on my last visit, I requested a receipt. I was told by the nail tech that they don't give receipts when customers pay in cash. I have never been denied a receipt when I have paid for a service that was rendered by a business. I value my receipts and all the professional businesses I've supported have always given one whether it was debit or cash. I asked her if I could speak with the manager, gabby and another tech came to the counter. The other tech repeated what my nail tech said. I told them I was not comfortable paying for a service and not receiving a receipt! Gabby became irrational and argumentative and told me to read the sign, the sign was about the fee charged for using a debit card!! I have given this salon chance after chance - but today was my last visit. I called yesterday to make an appointment. Was told they open at 12 and that I could have an appt at 12:15 - perfect. I arrived at 12:10 a bit early for the appointment only to be told we don't take appointments on Sunday. What? I have an appointment. Was told that it would be 20 minutes but I could go sit in the chair and wait. Picked my color sat in the chair and waited. I selected the premium pedicure. The technician came over and was very rough and rushing. I politely asked that she be a bit more gentle. The technician seemed to have a bit of a problem with the polish - it was somewhat clumpy - perhaps it was an old bottle. She finished the pedicure and I noticed there were bubbles in the newly polished areas. I pointed this out and she applied another coat of polish. I then went for a manicure and she checked my toes and said they were dry. I look down 2 hours later and the polish is sliding off my toes! Called the salon and was told to come back. Drove back and was told to please pick another color. No problem. Waited a few minutes and the manager came to get me. She didn't say a word to me, carried on a conversation with other technicians the entire time. I told her thank you for fixing the problem - perhaps it was just a bad bottle of polish. She then got a huge attitude and said our policy is to use the same polish to fix problems. I told her that the person that checked me in said to pick another color. She said that she should charge me...excuse me, it's not my fault that the polish was bad. 2 hours earlier I had just paid $130 for 2 pedicures and a manicure. She raised her voice and was very rude to me in front of the entire salon. I got up and walked out. I've been to Beverly Nails 2 or 3 times and had good experiences. I walked in without an appointment and didn't have to wait. The staff were friendly, but not overly chatty. They did a great job removing the calluses on my feet, and my nails looked nice. I like that the salon is so big and better ventilated than most. The prices are very reasonable, too. I don't know what's up with nail salons here but they need to make sure their technicians know how to do more than paint the whole nail in a single color. Additionally, why are they using tattered towels? For $16 I got my nail polish removed, filed, and little hand lotion rub. I don't know what it would have cost for them to paint my nails because they don't know how to do ANY nail art with regular polish. Women have used regular polish before shellac. Anyways, I should have read the reviews before going but it's right next to a HT and would've been so convenient to get nails done and shop. I wouldn't recommend this place. The facilities need to be updated and need better nail techs. read more
