I had to drive to Amityville for an Elite bash, and --oh, the horror!--my nails were disastro. Chipped, grown out, and, sadly, stained with leather dye from dyeing boots. Ack!! Absolutely could not show up with these disgraceful fingertips. I called Dif and requested an appointment, telling them I was about 20-25 minutes away. When I arrived, K was ready for me. He wanted to take everything off, but I asked him to please just do a fill and file, and he did!! He gave me beautiful, short, rounded nails with many coats of baked gel pale pink polish. I was delighted. While this took much longer than usual, I still had plenty of time to get to Amityville, so I got a basic pedicure, too. The pedicure was also great. No complaints at all. While it was more expensive than most for the gel polish, that's probably because my nails were in such horrible shape from the chipping, dye, etc. I was also happy to see water and nail drying spray, which I used on my toes. It's a clean, busy place. All the nail stations were busy when I arrived. Definitely make an appointment. They also offer other services, although I didn't read the list. I am thrilled to have found a nail place, and really don't mind driving to Patchogue, because I can get other stuff done there too, like get gas at Costco.

She got out of her chair and started speaking to her colleagues in Asian throwing her hands up in the air. I knew she was talking about me and complaining. When she got the swatch I proved her right. She then changed the polish on the 2 fingers she started and then apologized. I composed myself and said thank you, gave her a tip and walked out. I will never go back there again. I have been going there for about 9 months and I've always noticed she was a very agitated and unkind person but I just took her personality for what it was because I liked how she did my nails. But that was the last straw. I'm done. Not to mention the place is not very clean.

I got there right after opening. It's a big and open salon and it's very clean. I was taken right away. From the moment I sat in the chair I was very comfortable! I decided to treat myself to a spa pedicure instead of a regular one. After looking over their spa options, I went with a cucumber pedicure. The smell of cucumber was relaxing and fresh. The nail tech that did my pedicure was wonderful. Continued to ask if the water temperature was okay and even asked if I liked the color on my toenails after she applied it to one toe. Very considerate! I would definitely return to this nail salon when I'm in need!

My nieces have been dying to get their nails done with me and although I already am sporting a new set from my girl, I decided to grab a pedicure with them. The salon was able to fit us all in and was super patient with my nieces. Especially when the older one couldn't make up her mind between a pedicure and manicure. The salon and services itself were great. Nice and clean. The color selection looked solid and they several design offerings displayed. Now I have to get butterflies my next manicure. The pedicure itself, although basic and was perfect. I also got my eyebrows done and both ran me $35. Not too bad at all! I would totally visit with my sister and nieces again for both services. Both were well done.

Unfortunately my daughter had THE MAN and he rushed through everything. Gave her the Mint Pedicure with quick massage and a grumpy attitude. His manicure makes her cuticles bleed. I paid $55 each for both of us, and I gave Judy a $15 tip for me and a $7 tip for THE MAN. He took the $ and tossed it on the counter behind him. She said it was clean, and then she cut my toenails without first soaking my feet. She did massage my feet well though, and I felt so relaxed afterwards. Few workers wore name tags. The only person I saw wearing one was Lucy. All wore masks. They do disinfect nail tools. There are many visible autoclave sterilizing machines. There was one in use on the stand to the left of me. There are two televisions facing opposite of one another in the middle of the salon. Most salons that I go to don't have any. I watched News 12 as Leana did my pedicure. The salon's floor and chairs are relatively clean, considering the volume of customers that comes in. There were collectively nine customers getting manicures and pedicures today around 3:30 pm; and there were three more sitting down, waiting for somebody to take them to a chair. The nail dryer station is outdated. I have seen more modern ones than that. This salon is located in the same shopping center as Staples, UPS and King Kullen. So there is plenty of free parking. Joyce's Tips Nail & Spa is not the best salon that I have been to, but I go there once in a blue moon when I have a nail emergency. I live close by, and one of my toenails broke this morning.
