Beware: My daughter went to Razing Hair to get her hair lightened, she brought in a picture of very light hair so they could see what she wanted. She unfortunately ended up with mousy brown, grey, mud colored hair. She also came home and all the dark dye was left all around her face and through her roots. She had to plead to have them try and fix it. When she went back they (mainly the owner Chris) were rude and short tempered with her. They even said if you just keep washing it, it will lighten up, which means they only used semi-permanent color. They did blow it out and she was hoping she could live with it, but the next day she was crying that they ruined her hair. I then tried calling the owner to discuss having my daughter get her money back, since she was charged $245 for them to destroy her hair. Chris not only was rude and sassy, to say the least, he hung up on me twice and when he finally calmed down and would talk and not scream at me, he said he is sure the only reason my daughter hated her hair was because I told her she looked terrible and then of course he hung up. Even though I was completely disgusted by his comments, I called Razing Hair back to try one more time to rationalize with Chris, but he wouldn't get on the phone, however, when he finally called me back he said he searched and found a picture of my daughter on social media that looked like she loved her hair after it was fixed and he also went on to say that if I continued to call him about this issue he would call my place of work and get me fired for harassment. After all this, the terrible job they did on my daughter's hair and the way we were both spoken to, Chris, the owner actually dared to threaten my livelihood just so he didn't have to do the right thing as a business owner and reimburse an 18 year old, so she could go somewhere else to get her hair fixed. He even continued to say that the last person who tried this he (Chris) actually made sure they got fired from their job. I am flabbergasted that he even has clients. If you want light blond hair, without muddy ash, then Razing Hair is not the place for you. There are numerous talented hairdressers in the towns around where they are located and I suggest you try those, so you can avoid such a horrible experience with a person like Chris, and you will also avoid having him threaten getting you fired from your job just because you are not satisfied with the job they do on your hair. The most ironic part is his website states that they have a 100% satisfaction guaranteed!! Guess that is a lie!! read more

I took my 10 year old here because she saw they were having a special where she could get pink streaks in her hair as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The outside looks like nothing special, but it is really nice on the inside. I was with my baby and the staff was super nice and kept coming over to ooh and aah over her. I showed my daughter's stylist a picture of the cut she wanted. It came out awesome, the pink streaks look great, my daughter is going to be the coolest tween in the 5th grade tomorrow and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Win/win. read more

Ive been getting my hair done by Sara at Razing Hair for years (driving from Brooklyn), and would never go to anyone else. My hair is platinum blonde, double processed, and Sara gets it right every time. I never have any orange or yellow tinting, and it never feels damaged. She's cut my hair into a blunt bob, asymmetrical bob, bangs, and now a pixie and I love it. Sara is creative and knowledgeable, in color and cut. Had an appointment for 2pm. Waited for 20 minutes - no one told me there would be a delay or even acknowledged my presence. Finally, at 2:20 pm hair was washed and I was brought back to the stylists station. She then proceeded to tell me "I'll be right back - I have to check someone's color". Sat there for another 15 minutes with soaking wet hair. I finally just walked out...terrible way to treat a customer of 10 years. A word of advice - don't overbook. Neither my stylist who I have been going to all this time or the owner even had the decency to call and apologize, when they both saw me walk out. I used to love this salon until every hair dresser I got comfortable with left. This time I trusted them to pick a hair stylist for me. She was over bearing and didnt listen to a word I said when I told her how I wanted my hair cut. I have been getting my hair cut the same way for years and it has never been a problem. Instead of her cutting my hair the way I wanted she told me she was going to cut my hair the way she wanted. After cutting off 4 inches (which i only wanted an inch cut off) she ripped threw my hair with a blow drier killing all my freshly cut off ends. I have extremely thick and curly hair that needs to be sectioned and blow dried with a curl to it, telling her this she told me it would take to much time and that she would take a curling iron to my hair. When we were nearly finished she got a phone call, ripped the bib off my neck threw it behind me on the chair and ran off to get her phone call. No thank you, no have a nice day nothing. I sat in the chair confused weather or not she was finished because it clearly didnt look like she was finished. My hair was frizzy and dead at the ends not to mention completly UNEVEN . I had a wedding to go to the next day that i was going to style quickly thinking that i would have a nice hair cut to do just that. I was so embarrased by the way my hair looked i had to wear it in an updo for the wedding. This woman susie was completely unprofessional. made an appointment in November for a cut & highlight December 15th. got to the appointment and it was canceled cuz she was out sick, I had gotten a text message the day before confirming the appointment. I was given another appointment one week later for 3:30. I made it to the appointment and was taken back soon after, got the highlights, timer was set for 25 minutes (Jessa did not come once to check on the color), 25 minutes went by timer goes off and still no Jessa but I was brought to have my hair washed (regardless of how it looked and whether or not it was ready, I was changing color). When the girl washing my hair was nearly done she told me "if I still want to get my hair cut there is no time but if I want to stick around Jessa can squeeze me in between 6:00 and 6:15pm." As it turned out Jessa was running a half hour late and at some point determined she didn't have time for me. I was told Dee made the mistake and when I said something to Dee she said "you are booked for a cut and highlight". I had an appointment, scheduled correctly. I don't have time for a 4 hour haircut (I doubt many people do) I'm not sure why Jessa doesn't think my time is just as important as the next person, she didn't even have the nerve to tell me herself she let the shampoo girl do it. sooooooo disappointed, 4 days before christmas, appointment was made a month in advance, never going back!! read more
