Went today with my daughter to Sparkle for mani & pedicure. It wasn't busy so we were taken right away. Lucky, I was served by Judy who is great and I am happy with her work, no complaints. Unfortunately my daughter had THE MAN and he rushed through everything. Gave her the Mint Pedicure with quick massage and a grumpy attitude. His manicure makes her cuticles bleed. I paid $55 each for both of us, and I gave Judy a $15 tip for me and a $7 tip for THE MAN. He took the $ and tossed it on the counter behind him. Very nice place however they have 1 girl do pedicure 1 girl do nails. Pedicure girl took my tip said something to the other girls that work there they all looked and laughed. I usually tip the nail girl more than the pedicure girl because nails take longer and a lot more in detail than a pedicure with sub~Par foot massage. The pedicure with the 15 minute foot massage took 25 minutes. Cuticles were not taken care of still have a callus on the bottom of my foot. Tips are optional and they should be grateful for what a customer pays them as most people are spending $100 in this establishment. This is my first time using them... I walk in and was immediately met with aggressive what you want I came in for a pedicure me and my daughter. PICK COLOR!!! I don't know why didn't walk out immediately but my daughter was graduating the next day and I told her I would get her toes done for her. I got a green tea pedicure for me and my daughter. What a horrendous experience. I made an appointment, arrived on time to an attitude, then waited 40 minutes for someone to soak my nails, sat "soaking" for another 30 minutes, then was finally rushed through my powder gel manicure. I noticed a few things as I was getting my manicure, the tools are not sanitized. Some I saw looked rusty, which is such a health risk. I also noticed when I sat down there were nail clippings everywhere, and the manicurists do not wear gloves. This place should not be open. They had me waiting but was taking customers that didn't have an appointment. Vicky was super rude to me from when I walked in up until I left that terrible place. It's set up so weird. Went to this Salon again today after trying them several times and I must say this will be the last time I go back. I have been rushed through services at salons before but today was a whole new experience. I called and made an appointment for 11:00. I walked in at 11 and was taken right away because of my appointment (hence the second star). I was going to be having a pedicure, soak off old gels and have a new gel manicure and a eyebrow wax. I was back in my car at 11:55! The two women in the pedicure chairs next to me were already mid pedicure and I finished before both of them even though I sat down at least 15 minutes (assuming since they were almost finished and getting the massage) after them to start my pedicure! The girl Rachel was so rude. When I first walked in I told the man at the first desk that I had an appointment and he told me to go pick out my color. Within 30 seconds the women who did my nails Rachel walked up to me and said "what do you want?" I said I had an appointment for a gel mani, pedi and wax and she pointed to the colors and rudely said again "what do you want? I felt so rushed as she stood right next to me waiting for me to pick a color. When we went over to sit back at a desk for my nails after the pedi she kept huffing and puffing and trying to fix HER nail that I guess chipped or something. Then, you get a complementary 30 sec massage while your nails are under the lights and she yawned (really loud!) at least 3 times while behind me while giving me the massage. I wanted to turn to Rachel and say "hey, I get it, you don't want to be here at all but let's just try to make some effort and pretend!" She was so rude and almost acted as if she was doing me a favor by doing my nails. Also, my gel nails feel so sticky...as if they are almost wet and going to smudge. There are clumps of the gel nail around the edge lifting and I even noticed she didn't get all the old gel (dark color) off one nail. I have had tons and tons of gels and they never felt like this. She didnt even cut my cuticles and the gel around my nails almost looks as if is going to peel off..... it's now 4:00 the same day! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! I went in having really long nice nails that I had grown for six months! They asked me if I had extensions on which I said no and that they were my real nails. I had to reiterate this at least 20 times that my nails were real. I had only come in for powder gel. I had asked her just to cut them a little, but she cut my nails to nubs instead. When I asked her several times why did you cut my nails so short, she did not respond at all. Then she asked me if I wanted one of my nails shorter. I angrily responded, " I didn't want any of my nails cut, I wanted them left long". She then got the owner and another stylist involved. They both tried explaining to me that she had to cut them because I had extensions on. SHE EVEN TOOK OUT A PIECE OF MY NAIL SHE CUT TO SHOW THEM! I shouted loudly that they were my real nails, I hadn't had extensions on for almost a year! When she finally understood what was going on, she laughed and said that she didn't understand. When I asked her how much it was for ruining my nails (which I said), she responded with $40! 1) that's so expensive in comparison to the place that I normally go to and they do so much of a better job! 2) THERE WASNT EVEN A PRICE CHANGE! I've been coming to this salon since I moved to the area and I've had nothing but great experiences every time I step through the door. I go about once every 3 weeks and get a powder manicure and regular pedicure. My nails never chip or break and I'm very active in the gym, play sports and unfortunately do a lot of dishes! I think all of the ladies who work here are great and take their time with each client. I had Vicky during my last appointment and it was the best manicure ever, she's truly a perfectionist and my nails looked like art. Horrible experience. Unfriendly. Pretend to not understand you. Worst pedicure. No foot massage and she totally rushed. Manicure was horrendous. She cut into my cuticles and made me bleed and didn't fully remove my old polish I had on that you can still see under the clear polish I asked for. She asked if I wanted a massage while my nails dried, so I said sure and she took out a timer and set it to 8 minutes and started massaging my shoulders. I thought to myself -whatever I need a massage but she didn't say it wasn't complementary when she asked. I kept quiet and didn't tell her the timer should have been set to 10 minutes. I was just deducting her tip in my head. My 4 year old could have a done better job. THEN when it comes time to pay, I asked her to add a tip using my credit card and she added 5 dollars to the amount on top of the 10 percent tip I gave her. I pointed it out and she said sorry. By far one of the worst powder gel manicures I have ever gotten. After not even one week, they are starting to chip and lift. One of my nails isn't even filled in properly. It literally has a dip in the middle! The woman who did my nails was so nasty and rushed through doing my nails. If you are looking for a quality relaxing experience, do not go to sparkle 10. Ive been to many different nail salons and this was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I saw the tools being rinsed between clients at the sink and used again on people's feet instead of being properly sanitized by autoclave. This is the most serious thing to be aware of. They rush through which results in a very sloppy manicure/pedicure. There is no attention or care to detail, some of the workers have a very unpleasant attitude as if they are annoyed by your presence, to the point where they move your feet and legs around like they are pieces of meat in and out of the pedicure tub. Extremely unpleasant and not relaxing, and I defiantly don't think anyone should pay for such treatment. If I'm behind honest You can probably have a way better experience doing your own manicure/pedicure at home. I went for a basic pedicure. There was no foot massage, no leg massage, no leg exfoliation. The exfoliation gel was applied and rinsed off, The boiling hot steam towel was thrown on my legs which burned. Lotion was applied and no massage was given, my nails were cut crooked, the polish was not applied properly which resulted in my toenails to look really bizarre and crooked after everything was said and done. The nail drying station massage was two shoulder squeezes, two slaps on the shoulders and being asked for payment; this will cost you twenty dollars plus tip. Please; do yourself a favor, skip this salon. read more

I went here 2 weeks ago on a Friday and the next day my dip power was dull, bumpy, and breaking left and right. I work and go to school during the week so the next time I was able to go back was 7 days after they were done, but I called and told them the situation. When I walked in I talked to the guy there and told him that my nails started to break the minute that I left and I had spoken to him earlier in the week. He was visibly annoyed and told me to "go speak to someone else" so I did. I told her that this was the worst nails I've ever had and that they stated breaking the minute that I left. I had to file them all down myself because the ends were breaking off everyday. She suggested fixing the worst 3 nails but I politely told her that they are all cracked so they all need to be redone. So finally the guy that I spoke to at first came and did my nails, he told me to pick a color from the wrong spot and so when he had a hard time removing what was on he screamed at me to pick a color from a different spot in the salon. He screamed at me so loud, it was humiliating and the entire salon looked at me. He was so rough, I felt like he was hitting me with the drill on purpose, slamming his tools down, and sure enough they began to break again within days. I've been getting my nails done for 15 years at nails salons all across long island, and never have I ever been treated so badly or have had a worse experience. Just don't do it. read more

This was the most unpleasant nail salon experience I think I have ever had. The man who did my nails was impatient, abrupt, short tempered, aggressively filed my nails down shorter than I wanted, didn't massage at all (had a mani, pedi), and did not say thank you either at the time I paid or when he walked me to the dryer. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I came in and asked for shorter coffin shape, powder gel. I could tell from the get go he didn't even want to do my nails. He made me bleed just from the file, 4 times. Not one of my nails were coffin shape. My index finger was significantly shorter than the rest of my nails on my left hand. SIGNIFICANTLY shorter. He spilled the powder all over me and on the floor. He didn't even offer me a napkin to clean myself off. I walked out with red socks and leggings. After all is said and done, my nails look horrible. They are all different sizes, shapes and finger tips dyed red. I'm almost in tears and he charges me full price. The women tells me to come back in So they can fix my index finger another day. I'm going to add that I was trying to explain to him during the process he wasn't doing it right, and he just kept nodding and saying, it's ok, it's ok. Completely pretending to care, Then continuing to finish up this jacked up job. I'm furious and have scabs on 4 finger tips. Disgusting, horrible. Never again will I go here. read more

To start off, I am a daily customer every two weeks for a gel manicure. Today I had went with my sister, and let me tell you how RUDE one of the nail ladies were. Now her name was Coco and she was terrible. Completely rude. I sat down and she kept egging me for a ten minute massage when I didnt have the money for it at all. As she started my nails she was very tough with my cuticles . I would put my hand in the dryer and she would move my hand up to the back of the dryer and my nails would get messed up. She would blame me for messing my nails up! And it was completely ridiculous. Not only that, but she would tell me what to do with MY hands and after awhile she would start getting even more mean if I didn't do it the right way. She would twist me fingers so hard it hurt. As I would take my hand out of the dryer she would look at me and blame me for the messed up nails when it wasnt even my fault. She started being petty and it was an absolute joke at this point I started giving attitude back because lets not forget who's paying who here. After my nails would dry she would slide the dryer before I could even get my hand out. Lastly, as my nails were painted she didn't do the full on hot towels, or the quick back massage or even the massage on my hands with the lotion. As I see my sister getting it done the right way! As I was paying it came to $25, I gave her $30. She took the money and walked away and gave me no change back. She literally asked me to keep the change. It was ridiculous, so rude. What kind of place does that. I hope she gets fired for that kind of service. After she asked me if she could take the change I said yes, because in reality the $5 was going to be her tip but now that I sit here thinking about it, I shouldnt have given her a tip at all. A tip is a reward not a privilege. As I waited on my sister to finish up i started talking about how rude coco was in front of the other nail ladies just so they can get the heads up that she's absolutely rude and bad service to any customer. Not to mention I had just woken up, so giving me an attitude like that in the morning is the most ridiculous thing ive ever experienced. Ive been there plenty of times and the other ladies are never like that to me. As you can see in the picture my nails are black. I got a gel manicure 2 days ago and they started to turn black and I haven't been doing anything wrong to them. I was being rushed and my cuticles were being torn and ripped. I spent $60 on a green tea mani/pedi and my fingernails AND toenails are chipping. It's literally been one week. My toenails never, ever chip. A good pedicure can last for weeks and I only need to go because my nails grow out of the pedicure. After one day one of my fingernails started chipping. I got my nails done on Friday & two of my acrylics fell off on Saturday- that's a 40 dollar manicure that hardly lasted a day. I am glad I looked at this page. I thought it was something about me. I have been going here all year. My husband bought a $100 gift certificate for me and naturally I had to use it. When first I went here 2 yrs ago I had powder gel when it was new and 2 times the nail shop popped off after 3 days and I assumed JUDY didn't know how to do it correct. I found a different salon and was pleased with it but it was 5 miles from home so .... things were ok then yesterday at went for powder gel and pedi. Very busy I patiently waited with feet soaking over an hour. Who comes to wait on me but Judy. She avoided my eyes was very rough handling my feet. She rushed they the pedi. Took 15 minutes. The powder gel won't call it manicure was vey uncomfortable. She hurt my little finger pulling cuticle and when I asked about ruff on my other fingers she said I complained so. I paid and tipped her. I tip high because it is hard demanding work for these ladies. If I go back there I will not let her touch me. She ignored me after I paid. I removed the paper from my toes and walked out quietly.
