From the very start, my sales rep, Lee, was absolutely wonderful to work with, guiding me in my purchase and helping me all along the way during my selection process and advising me on getting the space ready for the delivery. The removal of the old refrigerator plus the delivery and installation went great. Michael, Chris -- all the guys -- were wonderful, but RON, the amazing Ron, went above and beyond in the installation process and took extra steps on his own that ended up saving me money or an extra call to a plumber. It's always nice when someone saves me time and money! Everyone was so professional and pleasant, plus -- and this is something that makes certain service industry people stand out from the crowd -- they arrived ON TIME. I am thrilled. Lee and Ron also helped me with my JennAir downdraft cooktop last fall. Expert advice, professionalism, promptness -- you cannot ask for more. I love these people! I will certainly return to Kitchen and Bath for my future appliance needs.

I…read moreneeded new countertops, backsplash, sink/faucet, and lighting in my kitchen, plus a new glass shower in one bathroom and wallpaper removal and painting in another. From the minute I stepped into the Showcase Design showroom and was met by Cassie, I was treated as if I were their number-one priority, all the way to the finish. Cassie is the greatest as their frontline rep. She is pleasant, professional, and patient. Jill and Frank, the owners, are extremely knowledgeable with many years of experience, and both are a treasure to work with. Frank and his crew came out to the house and took measurements, and one of the best parts is that they showed up on time! This is often a rarity in the service industry these days, so I greatly appreciated that. All of the people on their team, including Jeff, who did the shower glass, Paul, the electrician, J.C., who did the backsplash, Ron, the painter, the countertop crew -- everyone -- were personable, very experienced, and a pleasure to work with. The countertops were installed in just one day, and the backsplash took only two. The wallpaper removal and painting took a while, as we were told it would, but otherwise the whole process was flawless. I love these people. One of the hallmarks of their business is the personal touch brought on by Jill, the owner, who practically lives on her email in order to give customers immediate feedback and answers. Nights, weekends, it did not matter. Jill treated me as if a red carpet had been rolled out, and she addressed every topic with cheerful helpfulness. Best of all was how thorough and patient she was, and I'm here to tell you that this counted for a lot since there were over 100 email exchanges on these projects! She's great. I'm one of those highly detailed ("picky") people who likes to have things be just right, and Showcase Design never missed a mark. I had started out getting a quote from another local company (I won't name names), but I received a cold reception as they constantly told me, almost as if bragging, about how they were too busy to help me, with no indication that I would ever be able to get on their schedule. All I wanted was an initial consultation and to get on their schedule for the future, no matter how far off. I felt I was being pretty lenient (I mean, how many of their customers walk in the door and say I'm not in any sort of rush?), given that I came in during the summer and was asking for a January start date. But because I was treated coldly, I looked elsewhere. How lucky I was to come upon the great reviews of Showcase Design of Apex! Everything in my baths and kitchen looks great -- from the frameless glass shower, the wallpaper removal and painting, the white glossy subway tile backsplash, the wonderful stainless sink and faucet, to the crowning glory, the Silestone Calacatta Gold quartz countertops -- just breathtaking. I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Showcase Design, and Jill, Frank, Cassie, and all their crew, for your next renovation/remodel project.

People on phone site were friendly and helpful, plenty of stones to choose from in a variety of patterns and colors. There was some confusion over whether an item marked "sold" actually was (spoiler alert: it wasn't) so make sure to ask if you like a particular one even if it's marked (especially given the stone deliveries come infrequently). Brian and the installer crew were punctual, friendly, careful and meticulous (as was the initial measurement and selection of stone sections for the parts of the kitchen for best effect). Clearly these guys knew what they were doing, and it showed. That said we are a detail-oriented house and noticed (over time) some small issues (a small seam that needed some revision as well as a stain left by a silicone drain mat (advice: don't use them if you have white stone)). Suffice to say Brian returned three times, listened, was friendly and made the needed changes. The company really stands behind their work which is both rare and very appreciated. Our sincere thanks to Brian and the team at BU--we are very happy with our countertops and backsplashes and have received many positive comments on both the materials and workmanship. We highly recommend them for your countertop needs.

The store was clean and well organized, it was easy to get in and out of, and the customer service was good. My wife first came here to get a pot and soil for our Monstera plant. Those items included: Moving Boxes * Heavy Duty Small Box 17x11x11 - 4 at $2.48 each * Heavy Duty Medium Box 21x15x16 - 4 at $3.48 each * Heavy Duty Large Box 27x15x16 - 1 at $4.98 * Standard Medium Moving Box 21x15x16 - 3 at $1.98 each Other * 24x24 100% Recycled Packing Paper - 70 sheets for $10.98 * Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape with Dispenser - 54 yards for $6.94 Home Depot's moving boxes worked out great for our move. They were easy to assemble, tape, and break down. They were sturdy and held up well after being handled by a moving company for our move from Chapel Hill to Atlanta. I liked that Home Depot's box handles felt more comfortable and ergonomic than other boxes, like Bankers Boxes, I've moved with. Needless to say, I recommend Home Depot boxes for moving. At this Mt Moriah location, we used both self checkout and regular checkout. I like Home Depot's emailed electronic receipts. One of the late weeknights we came here, just before the store closed, there was a bus in the parking lot with a bunch of what looked like high school kids either coming from or about to head out on a road trip.

Seek an alternative to United Granite and avoid hate and discontent in the future!…read more I'll try to keep offer you an abridged and more detailed review, depending on what kind of reader you are. Contributors who get too emotional and write long rants about a business or service are generally dismissed. Plus, if you're lazy, like me, you won't read anything that's too long. The most important takeaway is that I'm presenting facts, not opinions. So, I highly suggest that if you are in need of natural/stone materials (marble and granite), you read this review and consider avoiding United Granite. I've had nothing but trouble with United Granite from the jump. For those who are impatient, lack the time to read a long review, or haven't taken their Adderall, here's the short version. - Customer Service: Poor (UG doesn't stand by their work, doesn't stand by their products/materials, and repeatedly told me why they couldn't correct the problems I was having with my new granite surround while continually reminding me that I was lucky to get the purchase price I received for this particular type of granite because the price per square foot increased since the original purchase date. What are those problems? Two cracks. One upon installation, which they did a reasonable job collecting, and the second, appearing for no discernible reason at all over the holidays. Strangely, this second crack was in the flat horizontal cross-piece of granite at the top of the surround. When I contacted UG about this, they said there was nothing they were willing to do, and essentially refused to send anyone out to even take a look at the issue and try to correct it) - Tech/Installer Proficiency: Below Avg (template technician was totally lost and the installers made excuses as to why they couldn't or wouldn't do things that I've since learned are simple and rudimentary for a fireplace surround installation. And oh, yeah - they cracked a piece of granite while installing it) - Quality of Installation: Poor (installer cracked the floor slab in front of the hearth on day one. UG had to dispatch yet another technician to fill the crack and re-polish the slab. Of everyone I dealt with, this particular technician seemed to be the only one who really knew what he was doing, and his work was satisfactory) - Quality of Materials/Products: Poor (most of the detail about my issues with the granite are above, but how ridiculous is it that they offer granite that is so flimsy that it cracks upon installation, and cracks again for absolutely no apparent reason at all? What's more, why would UG increase the price of granite that is so fragile that it can't even support itself when affixed to a wall? I have since learned that the reason the price went up was more for UG's convenience than because of the actual 'high quality' of the granite. One of their customer reps disclosed to me that this particular type of granite was a real pain to deal with because it was so fragile. OK, well then why is UG even offering it to customers, and why did they increase the price by nearly 50%?) Bottom line - look elsewhere for your granite Bottom line: Consumers should avoid purchasing materials or paying for services provided by United Granite. Failing to do so would be a frustrating and costly mistake easily avoided by seeking more dependable and reputable alternatives for their granite and tile needs. They're not the only game in town, and as I mentioned above, spending a few more dollars per square foot will help you avoid a lot of hate and discontent in the future.
