I really enjoyed the atmosphere (see pics) and there is the convenience of a drive-thru at this location. Coffee for my group came out pretty quick even though there were 6 of us. I live super close and have gave them a few tries. 3 chances. All sucked, but kept trying for some reason (probably living so close.) Awful customer service (not as bad as their location on the street over.) Went through the drive thru and was told they are understaffed so if I want food it's going to take a bit (not a single car in front of or behind me.) Cool-no problem! Only to receive cold food, and a cold half filled chai. I even enthusiastically told the staff I intentionally chose their location since I recently went to the one on the street over and had a bad experience (shocker.) I'm not a big review giver if that tells you anything. I don't think it's an issue with better buzz and their drinks or food, but they choose to hire who they do, so that's on them. Honestly I'd just go to Starbucks so you atleast get friendly faces and hot drinks. read more

Heard so much Buzz about Better Buzz so I had to try it myself. This location was fairly small and had a few tables to sit at and one hour free parking for customers. They have a pretty condensed menu but we ordered the Best Drink Ever and Mint Infused Iced Coffee. The Best Drink Ever is water based so perfect for those who are lactose intolerant! I liked the Mint Infused Iced Coffee. I subbed the cream for oat milk but it was still a little creamy. The mint flavor was very subtle and not over whelming. When you buy a 12 pk signature blend, it comes with a free $5 gift card. Would be a nice place to stop by and get some work done. read more

Wanted a nice spot to work from on a Friday afternoon so checked out the rooftop at this Better Buzz, which has an amazing view of Pacific Beach! In the afternoon time, though, there are only two tables that really get shade, so keep that in mind if you are working or plan to be at this location for a while. I ordered the hot orange matcha latte from a cashier who never smiled once during our interaction, which did not leave me feeling very good. The latte, though it had a good flavor, was freezing cold. I've visited this location multiple times, and while the staff is consistently working hard and staying composed under pressure, it's clear they are severely understaffed. The lines are literally out the door and down the ramp, not even exaggerating. This seems to be a regular thing, not just a one-off busy day. Most every weekend my wife and I end up at either this Better Buzz or the one on Garnet. We then drive along the beach and up to Windansea. Two weekends ago we participated in the Santa Run -- along with 4,500 other Santas. We arrived early to get parking reasonably close, and had time to get coffees before the race. I ordered a mocha de mexico with oat milk and my wife got some sort of seasonal concoction -- pumpkin? -- with oat milk too. Both great! This place is the bees knees! It's attractive outside and in(your belly)! Clean space, chill vibes, and the staff is energetic and friendly. Tons of specialty muffins including yummy gluten free options liken wine is lemon poppy chocolate macaroon and a paradise bar! I was TOTALLY planning on doing a photo shoot at the beach with the three I chose to bring back to my kiddos but I made that classical tourist mistake of trusting that my little buzzy bag would be safe in the sand while I dipped my toes in the water really quick. No sea rats in sight! However, a few waves at my feet and a blink of an eye and my muffins were all over the place! Well, they didn't seam to like the Apple Cinnamon Muffin because I found it in the sand with only a bite out of it. I dusted it off and gave it to a homeless man who was interested. The chocolate muffin (which was mine!) had been completely devoured. Oooh, guess what!? They didn't make it to the cinnamon roll before I chased them away! My kids weren't fans of the crispy crunchy outside of it. The only part they enjoyed was the "center puff". So, I'll say if you like the texture of a crispy croissant, then imagine it as a cinnamon roll with a little swirl of icing laced on top and you've got a winner. There are fun cookies for kids with sprinkles etc too. Oh, my holy G, I almost forgot about the buzz part! The Coffee!!! I was absolutely loving the crafted espresso options ready to order on the menu. All you need to worry about is what milk you want and voila! There is even a plethora of Teas & smoothies offered.
