Awww NO! My over charge after clarifying over and over again. Then the delay in a refund and NO apology and made to feel like it was my fault that I was OVER charged?! WTF?! I also had to ask multiple times for an over payment. Now I'm waiting over 10 min for a correction to my receipt and again no apology for the inconvenience. I'm so sad Escondido has so many other coffee locations. I'm for sure NOT coming BACK! Hopefully the Manager onsite will see this. read more

Waited in line for 20 min with 2 cars ahead of me for no reason. 3 people working, basically piddling around. There was one person making coffees and let me tell you there was no hussle at all. They seemed very incompetent and very lax for a line full of cars. It was ridiculous to wait that long. Cappucino was awful to top it all off. read more

I love better buzz for their convenience and Ordered an 1 acai bowl (literally $11) from the drive thru 1 hazelnut divinity ($7+) & 1 best drink ever. ($7) Everytime I come here, they always ask me to park in the pick up spot, for 3 items... even though there is no one behind me in line. The worst part of the pick up line it's not regulated so if they already had 2 other people park there you have to find a random parking spot and hope they remember what car you drive, sometimes i even have to go inside and pick up my order. What's the point of having a drive thru order taker, if half the time their headset dies and they can't beat the flow of the cars, might as well use the drive thru order screen so people can see their menu. I know it's to get their drive thru line times down, but if that's the case.. at least have a menu outside ready, and half 1 person order on the screen and 1 person taking orders alternating. There's no reason to have someone outside in the heat or cold if some people in line have no idea what they want to order yet and hold up the line.. Also.. please at least fill up my acai bowl?? SUPER skimpy on the acai, it wasn't even filled halfway, especially if you're paying that much for an acai. The only reason I'm giving a few stars is for the drive thru guy in the morning, he's really nice and has great customer service. read more

The service at this BB location is unmatched compared to other coffee shops I have been to. A special shout out to Pedro who not only got my order perfect but was also the warmest and kindest barista I have ever had. And his smile made my day! I had the lavender latte with oat milk along with the bacon ciabatta bread sandwich, and this really hits every time. I love that their coffee always tastes great and not as if the coffee beans were burnt. I love better buzz coffee, the great customer service, and cleanliness of their store is just a plus.. I come here at least 3-4 times a week before I head to work and let me tell you that every time I stop by, I leave happy, satisfied, and excited about my food and coffee. Lately, better buzz has definitely left its mark on me and I will continue to support as they never disappoint! Some days I end up coming in the evening and I bring my sister along.. she has now made Better Buzz coffee her go-to for coffee as well. One of the reasons I prefer butter buzz over Starbucks is because better Buzz uses a frother for their Matcha and Starbucks stirs Matcha. I frequent at Better Buzz daily and lately their Matcha has been clumpy and gathered at the bottom of the cup just like Starbucks has their Matcha when they stir it. I had a rough morning and needed a pick me up, so I popped in earlier for a quick cup of coffee. I appreciated the menu, that was completely new to me. The milk choices are whole, soy or oat, with the sizes being 16oz or 20oz. I selected the sea salt caramel latte, 16oz. It was divine! I would so order this again, and I would also recommend it to a friend! I am curious about the rest of their menu, so I am likely to stop by again and check out their offerings. I had drive thru service, which was very prompt! I can't speak to the interior or cleanliness. But the drive thru service was very nice. read more

Ok initially I loved this location and the menu, but the last few months I don't know what happened. I understand prices in general are going up but with these price increases, I expect the quality to be better or at least the same and the quality of the drinks have decreased. My iced best drink ever comes out watered down and the drinks are not filled. Also, manager needs to do more staff training on customer service of staff. Sunday night (4/10) whoever was working drive thru around 7pm with the buzzed hair and little pony tail was very rude and aggressively asked for a tip while holding out the tip jar. I work customer service and this is not the way to treat your customers. You can ask, that's not the issue but to be aggressive about it and hold out the tip jar like a pan-handler is a no-no in my books. This place is always hit or miss drink wise. Sigh. This review is for early afternoon on Friday January 9th 2026 in particular. I don't know if they were understaffed or what, but there was no one outside taking drink orders as usual and the wait time to order and get your drink was pretty lengthy, which I could probably overlook if my drink tasted good. On to my sad drink experience. I was really excited to try an iced banana pudding best drink ever, but my drink had so little ice in it, it was actually warm from the espresso shot. It tasted really bad. The cookie I got also tasted stale. For the amount of money I paid for both it was a disgrace. Thank goodness there are other coffee shop options in Escondido, as I am done with Better Buzz. The one in San Marcos Better Buzz is no better with all the bees in the drive thru. I've gone once in person and it was a decent experience with friendly staff (a slightly long wait the first time I went on a random weekday), but recently I gave it another shot with an online order. Unfortunately, none of the things I ordered really had any flavor. The avocado toast was somehow still bland, despite the seasoning and squeezing lemon on top. The bread was hard. I was only able to finish half of it. The almond croissant needed to be heated in the microwave for a few seconds because it was cold and a little hard also, and I didn't get any filling until I got to the very middle. So, it was just like eating plain bread for the first several bites. Not buttery or flaky at all. The vanilla latte was okay, but too much milk and not enough coffee. read more

Update: Cannot recommend this location which was small, loud, echoey and uninviting. Coffee is good but overpriced. Service is very slow. No sense of priority and saw an employee who looked like a shift leader texting on her phone while there was a line. Customer service is lacking to say the least. It took me years to build up the courage to return here after receiving some awful customer service where I was ignored as some employees were laughing their asses off, but I was in the area and thought I'd give it a try only to see that nothing changed except the prices going up. Ordering the most basic drink which only requires a pull of a handle (nitro coffee) always somehow takes at least 5 minutes. Overall avoid coming here at all costs. read more
