They have a limited time summer menu and I picked the coconut matcha off it; I've never seen this drink before at other places. So, for all of us eggnog latte-loving folk, I'm so happy to report that Better Buzz has this drink on their holiday menu! And it is YUMMY. I just ordered it hot and the staff was so kind to explain how it's made. I've always been curious how much ACTUAL eggnog is in this latte. At Better Buzz, they use a 1:1 mixture of eggnog and milk, which is steamed and added to the espresso shot(s). So, you really do get a good creamy eggnog taste, but it's not too heavy. With many of the large chain coffee shops removing eggnog from their holiday menus, it's so good to know I can still get my go-to holiday drink at Better Buzz. read more

Oh so yummy! This place kept us energized for our girls weekend in Scottsdale. With dozens of delicious caffeinated drink options, there were also plenty of pastries and small bites to choose from. I tried their 3 Seed avocado toast which was fine, nothing soon crazy. I'm glad the toast was huge as we were climbing Camelback mountain in a couple hours. This toast and an ice matcha kept me through the three hour hike in the dry Arizona heat! I also tried their cold brew with vanilla foam another day which was fine. My last treat was a pistachio croissant. I asked for it warmed but they forgot. The pistachio filling was lackluster but the flakey croissant offered a nice texture. I don't live near here, but wanted to find out what the buzz about this San Diego chain was all about. This Phoenix location is the first in Arizona for Better Buzz Coffee. I came here not too long after their opening when the lines were still a little crazy. I feel that they were efficient in moving the line as best as they could. Better Buzz Coffee serves a variety of handcrafted coffee and espresso drinks, teas, cold brews, smoothies, pastries and grilled sandwiches. The location has a drive-thru or you can sit and enjoy your drink inside. They have a lot of merchandise like hats, shirts and mugs, They also sell their coffee products to make at home. Better Buzz Coffee offers a number of flavored canned energy drinks called Buzz Energy. I was intrigued by their Moroccan Spice and Horchata Lattes, but opt for their classic Best Drink Ever. I wouldn't call it the best, but I did enjoy my first drink from here. I read that they are opening a location in the East Valley (closer to home) and look forward to trying some new flavors there. read more

California meets Arizona!!! This shop is such a classic in SoCal. Thankful they brought it to the desert. Worth the drive ( I'm about 40 mins away!) The shop is extremely instagramable. Cashier associate helped me look for powder I was interested in buying, only to change my mind. Give this girl a gold star for being patient & personable towards me, who didn't have her ish together. My favorite on my 1st visit was Best Drink Ever. This visit, my new favorite is the Mocha de Mexico. Which I spilled when I tried to leave. A girl being interviewed as this was happening sprung into action to help me clean my mess. HIRE THAT GIRL! She is who you want on your team. For the staff that immediately asked if I was ok, did I get burned, you helped ease my embarrassment. Not to mention other staff behind the counter that came to ny rescue with a mop. I was prepared to buy another as this was my mistake. Before my flood of coffee was even cleaned up, someone assured me they were making me a new one. And didn't even charge me which truth be told, I didn't expect. A heartfelt MAHALO as we say back home in HI. You exuded what we know in the islands as the Aloha spirit. If I can give a 0 I would for poor management. My friend ordered a drink from the menu on the store menu board . Wanted the blueberry lavender refresher . When she got it it was made with lemonade, that's not what it read on the store menu and she can't drink lemonade. So when speaking to manager , manager was rude, argued that it's made with lemonade,even though the board menu doesn't say that. Manager was not offering any reimbursement. The staff was incredibly friendly and super helpful when I was deciding what to get. I got the Horchata iced latte, which was delicious, well-balanced, and had the perfect taste of espresso. I also opted for a pistachio croissant, which I got warmed, which was also pretty good as well. The parking here is so limited, super small lot. There's a drive-thru option which is nice if you want a quick bite and drink. The breakfast sandwich was very flavorful and good, perfect addition to a drink. The matcha was good, but was not mixed properly. It was very clumpy and not mixed very well. Couldn't wait for Better Buzz to finally come over to AZ. Really enjoyed it when we were visiting in California. Some of the prior reviews are complaining about staff and their attitude, but overall we have had a decent experience with them. I have had a few people at the counter who didn't ring my drinks up properly but those situations were easy to fix. But it is hard to get the attention of any staff members if you need something after they hand you your drink. I understand they are busy, but if a customer is standing there and is waiting to get your attention, the least you can do is acknowledge them. We love their coffee and they offer really delicious flavors. Last time I opted for a smoothie because I couldn't do caffeine, unfortunately the mango smoothie isn't something I would get again. Lacked any true fruit flavor, very subtle and tasted watered down. Inside is always clean, never had an issue with that. My usual go to is either the hazelnut divinity or the snickerdoodle latte. They are on the sweet side, so I definitely ask for 50-75%. Give them a shot if you are in the area. read more

I've been ordering this pretty regularly on DoorDash (and trying different coffees) and it's been great every time so far! The substitute gf bread isn't too dense and tastes delicious, egg and bacon are cooked well, and sauces add good flavor. The coffees are always rich in flavor with good varieties on the menu. Although I wish there were straws included in the delivery orders at least for blended drinks as they're a bit thicker. I ordered this horchata iced latte and it was delicious. I normally do not like iced coffee as much lately, but it was the perfect amount of sweet and coffee without being too milky. I appreciated the unique flavor and as the barista said "mildly sweet" which was a good descriptor. To pair with it, I chose a chocolate chip scone warmed up. It was delightful. The baristas were pleasant, warm and welcoming. The cafe itself is a decent spot to study or work in. I could not find the wifi easily accessible and used my hotspot so that was not ideal and they do not regularly clean the tables which was also a bit disappointing. However, considering how busy this location was at the time that I went, it is understandable. There is a drive thru that looked packed! I will definitely be back at Better Buzz perhaps not to study but rather to enjoy their delicious coffee and sweet treats. read more

This place is super cute and I love the yellow-y aesthetic and the neon signs. We stopped by on Saturday afternoon for an energy boost and knew this is what we needed to try out. We walked in and the cashier greeted us right away. We made it on over to the register and she helped us both at the same time. My sister ordered a small Horchata latte and I ordered a small Snickerdoodle latte. We sat down and not too long after our drinks were ready. I enjoyed my snickerdoodle latte but for next time I would see if they could make it less sweet. Once the ice melted a little bit it tasted perfect! My sisters horchata latte was gross. It tasted nothing like horchata and all we could taste was a burnt and bitter flavor. The aftertaste was very unpleasant. She ended up throwing it away. We sat for a while and enjoyed the music they were playing. It got pretty busy and at one point the line was by the door. The bathroom was clean and so was the dining room area. Love, love LOVE Better Buzz and would drink it all the time when I lived in San Diego. I was so excited for the company when they announced they're expanding to Arizona, and was happy I was in the area to be able to try it! (Better Buzz -- we NEED a cafe in Los Angeles next, ok?) This location has all the charm its hometown locations have -- nice interior, cheeky writing on the cups and walls and the menu seemed the same to me. I wasn't sure if this spot had any AZ-specific menu items, but that would be nice to see. I ordered my go-to drink from Better Buzz at this location -- Lavender Tea Latte. Lavender Tea Latte -- 8/10 in Phoenix. The latte at this location was a little more bitter than its San Diego counterpart. In SD, it tastes sweeter. Nevertheless, still a very enjoyable sipper to help start your morning. This location wasn't on the Better Buzz app yet, so I couldn't order ahead of time and skip the line. I saw all the hype for San Diego breakfast chain Better Buzz and thought I'd give it a try. Apparently the entire City of Phoenix was having the same idea. I pulled up to the two-lane drive thru and it was slammed, my car sat along Glendale for a while before I could pull up because it was so packed. The restaurant was prepared to handle the influx and was running a drive thru similar to Chick-fil-a. I was impressed with how things were moving along, but I wouldn't recommend coming at peak weekend breakfast hours if you're looking for a quick grab-and-go. I ordered the Horchata Iced Latte and a Better Breakfast sandwich. The latte was great once everything got stirred together; this was surprisingly complicated given the construction of the cup. The Better Breakfast sandwich left something to be desired - the aioli was not spread evenly leaving a large portion of my sandwich flavorless. I was excited about the pretzel bun but the size ratio meant that the bread overpowered the contents and everything felt a bit bland. The way the breakfast sandwich was packaged was designed well for transit. I was happy that when I arrived home everything was intact. Service was friendly and helpful, despite the restaurant being completely slammed. I'll try this place again in a couple months once the excitement dies down. read more
