So happy to finally have Better Buzz in Carlsbad but the location is honestly difficult to get to unless you are walking the village. There is very limited parking in their lot and street parking is always hard to come by in the village. They did do a good job at converting Cessy's into having more space outdoors. Seems like the wait would be long but honestly the staff was pretty fast. I always mobile order ahead because iykyk. I still had to wait ~10 minutes past the time I was told but again not worse than other locations. My drink tasted exactly as expected and the coffee itself was perfect. And service was really quick, it can get crowded and hard to hear them call your order that it's ready. .Snickerdoodle Latte was pretty sweet, but just what I needed as a pickme up Restrooms were clean and space inside was clean as well! The venue is nice and I would give it a 5/5 as well as their catch phrase "Life's better buzzed". Service is great, friendly staff easy to talk to. The only reason why I gave this location a 4 star is because of their drinks, there is really nothing different than getting a Vanilla late from your local coffee shop. Yummy addition to Carlsbad Village! - Drinks: taste classic to Better Buzz. Chai and Matcha lattes are very creamy and can be rather on the sweet side (which I personally like)! - Food: yummy but inconsistent. I've tried the Turkey Pesto a couple times, but the bread seems to change between a french bread and a sourdough. Not sure if that was a one-time change due to supply, but it was odd that the sandwiches used different ingredients and tasted different each time. - Space: one of its biggest perks! They keep their ordering/drink-making space separate from their seating, and the seating area has windows that swing up and expose the area, making it super breezy. Bring a jacket if you get cold! If you're there to study, there's lots of ambient noise (bc of the open windows and it being next to the street) and light music playing. There's a few outlets too! read more

While this is a cool coffee shop, their medium roast coffee is bitter and not good. They won't make a flat white, so instead I had a coffee with cream. I'm not saying this based on one experience, I've been here at least 5 times and every time it takes 15+ min to get a coffee. Nothing fancy. Just a coffee with steamed milk or a cappuccino. Even if I order ahead, I will still have to wait!! Today I ordered 10 min before I arrived ... surely my drink would be close to finished. NOPE! They hadn't even started on it. I specifically want to give a shout out to the best bark-ristas Carol and Brooke, they are both so sweet to my pup, Carol and Brooke always seem to recommend me great drinks and are very attentive to my customizations such as 1/3 sweet.
