My dryer wasn't getting the clothes dry on one cycle so I called Better Air Systems based on the favorable Yelp reviews. Mike, the owner, came the next day on time as scheduled. He cleaned my dryer vent thoroughly. Then he went on my roof to make sure nothing was clogged at the other end and the flapper was properly functioning. He tested the temperature inside my dryer to make sure it was getting hot enough to dry the clothes in one cycle. He also consulted with an appliance repair person to be sure nothing else was needed. Mike was very pleasant, price was reasonable, and I highly recommend him if you need HVAC services. He has been in the business a long time and knows what he is doing. We got a very good service from this company! We called them late and they seems very busy, but promised to come the same day. and they did. it was dark when they came and worked on the roof for several hours. They cleaned the system and added the refrigerant. Their price is quite reasonable and they seem honest people. We manage more than 100 apartment units around town and used to have trouble find an honest AC guys to do a good job at reasonable price. We think we called a good guy this time. Contacted Mike a few months ago to get a quote on a whole new HVAC system including new ducts throughout the house. He responded right away and came out to take a look. He was super knowledgeable and gave me several different options with full explanations on the pros and cons of each. Very standup guy and someone you can trust to be in your home. The work was primarily completed by his tech, who did an excellent job. Mike was available throughout the job and the work was completed on time and within scope, as well as at a reasonable cost. This company is a 1st class operation! The owner (Mike) is more knowledgeable than any HVAC contractor I have ever met, or worked with. He is a brain-trust in the industry. He designed and installed a new custom system for our 1960 remodel. He considered our budget, our desires and then discussed what would be the best answer and why for our home. Mike is a honest man! We came home to a non-working furnace this past weekend. Air was just blowing on and off. First thing we did was called Sears who installed our HVAC 6 years ago. Turns out our warranty had expired and they wanted $60 to come check the furnace and $120 for both HVAC!?! The guy from sears tried to sell me monthly warranty for $49/month?!?
