So nice to not be surrounded by sick people when I'm there for an injury! I went in for a headache that was getting worse every day and had started to progress to numbness in my arm. I was initially evaluated by an actual RN who was super nice and knowledgeable (I found out he used to work in the ER). Then I had a super thorough evaluation by a nurse practitioner. I truly thought something was wrong with my head but she knew to also check my neck and it was a neck injury! Great diagnosis and treatment. Loved being taken seriously (in Utah I have been blown off and misdiagnosed so many times I avoided urgent care whenever possible). So happy to know I can get quality care without waiting for my PCP to have availability!

When my doctor submits a referral, I receive a call to schedule within a day. Recently needed to see a Neurosurgeon for a pinched nerve, which required surgery. I was called and had a scheduled visit in less than a week. Surgery was deemed necessary and it was scheduled in less than 2 weeks. The entire staff in the Neuro department was excellent. When the hospital screwed up resulting in my insurance denying the surgery, the Summit Neuro staff (Ruth) stepped right in and got everything resolved to the surgery could go on schedule. I cannot say enough about the care and caring team at Summit Health.

Waited 3 weeks and messaged them. Suddenly I was scheduled for a month out. Day of procedure just before my arrival time I was cancelled because he was running behind. No apology for wasting my day. This clinic has been a disappointment from the get go. I am going elsewhere.

From the minute I walked into the emergency department I was taken care of in a very kind, efficient and professional matter. It was about 7 o'clock at night when I checked in with a friendly lady (unfortunately I don't remember her name). The check in was easy and quick. After only spending a short period in the waiting area I was seen by a wonderful triage nurse (Jacquie). She asked me some questions and I was immediately taken into a room where another nurse (Mike) looked after me. The room and the hospital itself is very clean and modern. Mike took some blood, brought me warm blankets and started an IV line. Just shortly afterwards I was seen by Dr. Ryan Petersen and nurse Emma who did an exam. Both were very respectful and professional. I also had to get an ultrasound and Erin made me feel calm and took care of me ever so gently. As my husband and son were waiting in our RV just outside on the parking lot we were given a list with nearby hotels and parking facilities, which was truly thoughtful. Both my husband and son were able to come and see me for a short period of time for some much needed support. Later that night I was discharged and Cody one of the hospital administrators took my details. We had a brief yet deep conversation and I could feel that I was not just a number or patient, but a human being with physical and emotional needs. The staff at St. Charles hospital is just excellent. They do listen and they do care!! Dr. Petersen came to see me one more time before leaving the hospital and handing me my discharge papers as well as explaining what had happened and how to handle the aftercare. Even though I was relieved to leave the hospital Nurse Mike made farewell just a little harder! Mike: you are an amazing nurse and such a wonderful person with a big heart! I'm so thankful for you! I must say that I'm more than impressed with the care this hospital provides. The emergency department surely has a fantastic team and everyone is going out of their way to make patients feel comfortable, reassured and safe. I have so much appreciation, respect and gratitude for each and everyone going the extra mile! Thank you ever so much for all your sweetness, kindness, compassion, professionalism and hard work!!!

The money isn't the issue but the utter lack of follow through and responsiveness was appalling.

My PA was caring , efficient and polite. She explained treatment options and called a specialist on the spot to consult. She even got me an appointment with them the same day. They were worried because I am leaving for a trip later in the evening and they didn't want me to have something come up while I am gone. I visited with a nurse that gave me an antibiotic injection who was also polite and caring. They were extra conscientious of my safety ensuring I had no drug allergies multiple times. The antibiotic injection even had lidocaine (a numbing agent) mixed in so I hardly felt a thing!! I was very happy with my experience. Thank you for taking good care of me so I can keep caring for my patients :) healthcare is a tough job and I felt very well taken care of.

My insurance provider recently sent me a letter informing me that HLHC had opted out of their plan, meaning my primary care physician (PCP) was now out-of-network. HLHC chose the end of the year to do so and failed to inform me in a timely manner, or at all actually. I had to call to confirm what my insurance provider was telling me. (My PCP said they sent out letters but I never received one. No notice was given on their much more certain patient portal.) That's inexcusable. Given the timing, I'm certain that HLHC had contemplated and determined to drop my insurance well before the end of the year; specifically it was probably before the Medicare open enrollment period had closed. Which is important because I'd have liked the option of changing insurance rather than changing my PCP. This isn't the first time HLHC has done me wrong. A few years ago, my then PCP decided to leave town but rather than allowing me to shift to another of their providers as an established patient, HLHC now considered me as unestablished, meaning I had to wait months to get an appointment. Good doctors, good facilities, lousy business practices.

I asked them to send my blood work on Tuesday it's Thursday I haven't seen anything. Absolute worst thing is they do not have a patient portal. The inconsistency of information I get has gone to the point where I'm looking for another lab.
