By far the best place in town for pool supplies, etc.. super friendly staff that clearly know what they're talking about and are eager to help / resolve whatever problem you have The very few time to other places, I've always been disappointed... we keep coming back here as our number one place for pool supplies, etc. read more

Last summer I probably would've suggested this place, even though the guys in there are a tad odd.... But when you're a JERK to MY WIFE when she went in there asking for your help you will NEVER get my business again. My wife went in there for me since I was traveling for work to help get the pool cleaned (something she never does!) and instead of being helpful and offering her guidance, they were rude, condescending and made her feel stupid. Absolutely unacceptable way to treat a woman ESPECIALLY a woman who is my wife. If you're okay with guys who treat a woman like this sure go into Best Pool Supply. But I will never be going here again. I would highly recommend Callen Pool Supply in Rancho instead. read more

On Monday 1/26/26 I came to this store looking for a polaris attachment. I met Chris and he took the time to research the attachment, which was called a D31. I ordered two and he told me it would take a couple of days and he quoted me a price. I returned on 1/28/26 to pick them up and to my surprised, I paid less for them!! I want to thank Chris for his kindness towards me during this transaction. I highly recommend him for assistance when visiting Best Pool Supply for your pool needs. Michael G. read more

Frantic I was today, learning that the new pool sweep detached itself from the connector.. Besides that, a big water leak underneath the brand new pool equipment. Called and Rob was very, very helpful! Will follow his suggestions and call him tomorrow to let him know my discovery! My first time putting my precious I phone in a ziploc bag to take a pic of the fitting.. Yes, I know my phones waterproof... but ???? So glad I called! If I need to buy another pool sweep, they earned my business.. read more

After noticing loud noises coming from my 20-year-old pool pump, I decided to give Best Pool Supply a call. Eric noted that the issue was most likely caused by a bad pool motor, and that I should bring it in to see what they could do. He mentioned right out of the gate that the least expensive route would be to try and retrofit a new motor to the old pump as a solution. This could save me $1000 or more vs purchasing a brand-new pump. Other shops I have dealt with in the past would have jumped on this opportunity to sell me an entire new pump. I brought the pump motor down to the shop and Michael (the owner) recommended a motor that would be a good fit/replacement. Stated that he would start the process right away, and that he would call me in a couple of days when he was finished. He didn't ask for any type of deposit. The next day Michael called me and said it was ready. He noted that the impeller connected to my old motor did look a little suspect (a very slight blemish/divot in the shaft) but rather than just charging me for a brand-new impeller that I might not need, he wanted me to give it a try. He also mentioned that he did not change a rubber gasket on the diffuser that looked just fine. These gaskets cost $20 or more, and he didn't want to charge me for anything unnecessary. Went home and hooked up the new motor. Unfortunately, there was a tiny leak.....really just a few drops of water over an hour or so of running coming from the unit. Personally, I was ok with it. Didn't seem like a huge issue, but I texted Michael on his personal cell phone to let him know. Yes...he gave me from his PERSONAL CELL PHONE. He told me that it wasn't ok and that he would make it right. All these texts were after shop hours, on Michael's personal time, and over the weekend, to let me know that he would order a new impeller from his distributor. That I could bring the pump down when they opened on Monday, and that he would change out the impeller for me. Fast forward to Monday. Michael changed out the impeller AT HIS COST. It wasn't his fault my impeller was cracked and could have easily charged me retail for the part. Didn't charge any labor for the tear down or replacement of anything....Said that he was going to make it right even if the impeller wasn't the root cause of the leak. In addition, he noted that my diffuser had some scoring from where the impeller was rubbing over the past 20 years. He had a spare diffuser that was in good condition and would work for my model of pump, so he installed it. He did not charge me for the spare diffuser!!! Great news....I went home and installed the new pump and no leaks. Good to go. Bottom line....if you want to deal with a shop that is honest, trying to save you money, and reliable, this is your place. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Michael the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate that he doesn't upsell new equipment and is willing to offer advice on what parts are critical to replace to keep our current equipment working. Just like with electronics, some of the older pool equipment will last much longer than the new stuff, as long as you keep up with maintenance. Prices here are better than the chain stores and it's great to support a local business. I observed several other customers who were obviously regulars (based on the friendly banter) and get the pool supplies there. read more

I've been going there for many years. Without exception they are always helpful, knowledgeable, and have fair pricing. Good inventory and always have what I need. read more

Cool dudes work here, pricing is comparable to anything on line so it's nice being able to support a local business vs the machine. If they don't have it in stock they can usually have it there by the next day. read more

Extremely helpful and polite. Very patient and knowledgeable! Great store for when you take care of your pool yourself!!! Tx Mike n Eric

Always friendly, good service, fair prices and they usually carry your stuff to your car for you.

CUSTOMER SERVICE. The guy that helped us didn't seem to want to be bothered. Very short on his responses when we asked questions on there products. We started to feel very felt uncomfortable and decided to leave. read more

These guys are great! I always take the time to explain things thoroughly and never try to sell you something you don't need. You can't go wrong for any of your pool supply needs. read more

Seriously fellow Yelpers, I've been to a few other "pool supply" stores and none compare to the friendly service provided by the folks at Best Pool Supply...they simply are the "best". I recently had my pool sweep wall mount break. Instead of easily ordering the replacement online, I decided to support Best and their pricing wasn't much different. The key differentiator is that they helped me with replacing the part on the sweep hose. Excellent service. Plug and play in the pool wall and done! Thanks again for your friendly service and let's continue to support our local businesses. read more

Michael and Rob are such great people. We had an issue with our pool sweep not connecting and they helped us troubleshoot the problem. Turns out the pool guy I have (soon to be had) didn't know how to connect to the port unless it was threaded. So (pool guy) shaved down the nubs to nothing and sweep would not lock in. Our plaster guy was nice enough to put in a new port so Michael walked me thru the steps to get the sweep connected. And he did this on his day off! Thanks Best Pool Supply, I will always use and recommend you for pool supplies and questions. read more

Bought a house with pool. Thought filter needed replacement. (Previous owners left a lot of things in need of repair.) Called Best Pool Supply and they suggested trying to clean it first. It worked great and they saved (or at least deferred) $500 for filter (System 3). Thanks Best Pool Supply you definitely have my business going forward!! read more

Best Pool Supply is a locally owned and operated pool repair, materials and equipment shop in Folsom Blvd. Near Power Inn Road. I've been taking my pool related problems here since 2005. Slightly out of the way for my East Sacramento location, they make up for it in their knowledgeable service, quick and reliable repairs and extensive selection at reasonable prices. Drive the extra five minutes past Home Depot. The water analysis alone is worth it! And if you have algae problems ask about their Pool Rx, it's amazing. read more

I purchased a home in the College Greens neighborhood in 2011, never having owned a pool before. My wife actually wanted to demolish the pool once we moved in, to avoid the maintenance costs and potential hassles. Best Pool Supply was on my way to work so I dropped in to find a small part for my ancient pool sweep. I expected to be "upsold" on a system overhaul, not a replacement part. To the contrary, Dave (the co-owner) did the opposite; he took time to educate me about the part he thought I needed (trivial repair, ~$10) and the most cost-effective approach to balancing the pool's chemistry. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable on chemistry, fluid dynamics, and the mechanical engineering topics related to pools. Over the years, Dave even came over to the house (w/o charging a service fee) and has spent countless hours on the phone, to help diagnose a leak, and some electrical problems. He steered me clear of the dozen lousy electricians and has saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs. I cannot overstate my gratitude to Dave, Michael at Best Pool Supply and strong recommendation. They provide an extraordinary service, a genuine commitment to community and honest business. read more

This place is awesome! My pool sweeper needed some repairs done and Best Pool Supply got it fixed super quick. On top of that, they also tested my pool water (for free) when I dropped off the sweeper. Best of all, they didn't charge an arm and a leg for the repair! I highly recommend going to these guys first for your pool needs. read more

First time in today. Terrible customer service. Not sure if its because of a lack of training or what I look like - or a combination of both. Was trying to support a small business since I also own a small business but I will go on over to a chain store for my pool supplies. read more

Well, I can't speak to the actually service but trying to organize a service call is nearly impossible unless you are retired and house bound. I called a week in advance to schedule service. I was told it would be Friday, anytime Friday, with a call 1/2 hour before. They did call, but I was in the car on my way to work. I called back and was told they would call the technician to find out what time they would be there. They said they would call the technician and call me back. Well, no phone call back and 3 hours later, I call again. I'm told the technician now won't be able to make it today and would I like to reschedule. Reschedule what? An entire wasted day of sitting at home waiting? No thanks!!!! read more

I called asking for someone to come out and give an estimate on some pool equipment that was not working like I expected. Instead of coming out and charging me for an estimate he (did not get his name) had me describe the problem and told me the most common cause of it and how to fix it. At most I would need a 9 dollar part. By saving me money this time he earned my business for any future work I need done. read more

Dave & Jim are the best!! I have been going to Best Pool Supply for a while now they are VERY knowledgeable and most of all HONEST. Recently one of my Pool Pumps which was put in a couple years ago by another company stopped working. Dave came out to check out the pump and was able to get it back working within a few minutes. He could have just stuck me with a new pump and I would have not known the better, he explained the pump had some life left in it and I should plan to change it out in the near future In Addition he stated the previous person put a large horsepower pump ( Actually Two of them) that was hard on the filter and wasted power. That pump Finally went out, Dave came out today. I went from have 3 pumps Two 1.65 Horse + plus a booster pump for the pool sweep to a 1/2 Horse Pump and a Booster Pump for the pool sweep. The plumbing is done much cleaner and the smaller pump pushes just the same as my old pump. I am saving $$$ power and the equipment is quiet + neatly installed. read more

After reading great reviews about this place on Yelp and Yahoo, I decided to pay this play a visit. I purchased a simple pool test kit but left with a wealth of knowledge, as well as something that is priceless: the feeling that these people are HONEST. Go to Leslie's pools and you'll get help from kids who are half knowledgeable about pools and want to sell you a bunch of products which you may or may not need. I was impressed by this place because they sold me what I needed. I even stuck around and talked to them about all kinds of things for my pool - they were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and above all... NOT PUSHY! To top it all off, their prices were great! I'm so glad I didn't get that pool test kit from Leslie's - I got exactly what I needed at Best, and spent less. :) read more

I like these guys, I trust them, and have done a lot of business with them. they have never steered me wrong. The only concern I ever have is they are often closed during the hours I am able to come to their store. For that reason they get my big business but often lose the day te day business to the store up the street. read more

They are indeed the best. Only place in Sacramento that had an OEM Hayward part I needed. The big name L store gave me a story and sold me the wrong part. The A stores ernestly tried but only had a non-oem part that did not fit. Even better, Best Pool Supply was cheaper and faster than if I went through the internet, which, by the way, sells a lot of non-OEM replacement parts that may or may not fit according to the many reviews. I needed an OEM part and Best Pool Supply delivered. Thanks Best. read more

Not sure why the good reviews. I called to find out more about automatic pool cleaners, told the guy that I just got a new pool. Was given short answers and he made it sound like I was wasting his time. read more

Called Best Pool Supply (BSP) because my pool pump wasn't drawing enough water. Over the phone, BSP diagnosed the problem to be debris in my impeller. They said that David could come by the next day. I got a call before 9 the next morning and talked to David who said that he could come by 1st thing. He came by at 9:30. He's a straight forward and pleasant person. He disconnected the pump and confirmed that It was the impeller. He cleaned it out and by 10 the pool pump was running fine. It was a good experience. read more
