Very frustrating, billings is a mess. Communication lacks clarity and causing more confusion.

I have never been as frustrated with a company as I have with the non-existent communication from "Best" Management. They manage condos but ever since they started managing our condo, it's clear they are the opposite of the "best." From condo meeting notes I saw that our homeowner dues were going up from a chart showing the amount due by condo. Even though I never received a formal invoice/notice from "Best" I proactively updated my auto-payment amount to pay for the increased dues. But then a month later, I received a formal letter saying I was 2 weeks late paying $109.75. The letter included language that mentioned that I could be sent to collections or even result in losing my home (all in bold caps). This was the first letter I received about being late on a payment that I never received formal notice of. I immediately filled out the appeal form and emailed it the same day I received the letter. I also asked for a clear statement or copy of any notice of the increase so that I could increase my auto-pay amount to the correct amount. It's 2 months later and I have yet to receive any response to my email or appeal form. Though they did send another letter about my past due amount. I had paid everything owing except for the late charge. They had the time to send me another threatening notice, but haven't had the courtesy to send a quick response to my email. I have a stellar 17 year payment track record and always pay in advance even when there are huge assessments. I want to set-up everything properly now, too, but it's hard to when the management company won't even answer to a simple request so that I can pay them. read more

I live in Monohon Condos and these people are money grubbers. They mismanaged the insurance money and never gave the damaged homes the money they need to go back to their homes! And they are awful with even minor repairs, slow and half-baked. Please do yourselves the favor and drop them as your HOA management. read more

This management company manages properties for Condo. I requested special permission to go through the siding and into the kitchen to install a water heater. This work was being done through a Washington state grant and was going to cost me nothing. Best management would not work with us and insisted we go in through the front door costing me $5000. Also when selling our condo, we lost a sale and had to sell under asking, costing us $20,000. All because this company wouldn't work with the lenders. Horrible. Cannot recommend. read more

So I've been flooded three times in the last two years. I absolutely got NO help from our management company. This was after I was promised I would be taken care from the last management co. They are cowards and did not even respond to my calls or emails! What a joke. I have lived here for more than 10 years +. Unfortunately I live in condos so I have NO choice to use this demented company. They truly are TERRIBLE!!! Like the others said STEER CLEAR!!!!!!! No grace period on bill payments even when transitioning from another management company. Digital payment service auto payment setup requires me to phone them after it fails. I know this because it failed the first time and I didn't call, so I got charge MORE late fees. Also, they will call you a delinquent for systems of theirs that suck. I think I am finally setup with auto pay, but it costed me over $100 in late fees. I lived in my unit for 17 years and have not had issues like this with all the other manament companies. We hired Best 6 years ago after another management company had seriously messed up our finances. They did a great job and my board term was up, so I left the chaos. This year, people started rumbling about how they were unhappy. I expected Best was complacent and that was the cause. But what I learned is that we were in danger of a special accessment a few years out if we didn't act. Best's property manager was insistent that we understood and the necessary due increase was unpopular. Several of us got together and discovered that we needed the increase. I'm really glad that we used Best because our property manager didn't back down when we need a reality check. I've only dealt with 3 management companies and this one has been consistently the best to work with. read more

Best management has been so helpful in our transition from our previous company. They have worked with our HOA with grace and patience as it has been a trying time. They are completely transparent with their practices and are available with resources. I highly recommend best management. They charge $30 returned check fee which bank doesn't charge at all. Not an honest company. Be aware! Need to find lawyer or file BBB complaint! Update! It was snowy on Monday. It's Wednesday but Nobody came and melt the snow. Now the road covered with ice and my husband fell. I'm pregnant and almost fell in the morning. Called the emergency line tonight, they said it's not in contract and don't go outside just stay home. This company is awful. Stay away!! After several years with a Property Manager that was never available, never on-site, and mostly interested in selling extra services, switching to Best Management has been a great experience. As a member of the board, I'm very happy with how Debbie and then Tyler have been answering and prioritizing our requests. Whenever something is happening in the property, Tyler is on-site to help or follow-up what is going up. I appreciate how Best Management can react quickly to emergencies. On the minus side, some side tasks, communications or paperwork are regularly done at the last minute, or require asking several times. But asking clearly and setting priorities work well. Bids are nice and explained clearly. The different options are presented so that the board can choose efficiently. The contractors are great and providing good value. And Tyler is often negotiating good prices, keeping the costs as low as possible. I totally recommend Best Management! read more

Incredibly rude! I have never seen customer service like this in my life. Tyler was not only unwilling to help with our property but he actually used profanity when asked for basic information. I don't know how they get business other than managing public toilets. Beware if you hire this unprofessional rude individual as a property manager. read more

Thank you for being so responsive and caring about the people who live in our building. We have had a lot of different management companies over the years and Best Management IS the best. Our manager used to be Tyler but I believe it's now Heather. I had only lived here for a short amount of time during Tyler's managing of us. But from what I had seen and heard he is a great manager. Heather has been a true blessing to our community. She is courteous, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Dedicates the time to us that we need and seems to be proactive which is nice. I just wanted to share my experience with Best Management, We recently left a company in Everett, and thank God I found Best. Heather is our manager and I can not say enough about the top notch service we are getting from this company. We are finally getting things accomplished in our 20 some year condo's. She is hands on, knowledgeable, in the trenches for sure. Always with a smile and nothing is to small. The vendors are on top of it also! Best Management Company has been our property managers for about one year. The transition was smooth. The previous management company was very sub par and not invested in our property. Since BMC has taken over, there have been many improvements to our property, including tree trimming (which was desperately needed), updated community website, better communication and a better sense of community, among many updates/upgrades. A few months ago we had a water main break, which of course was inconvenient, but life happens. The communication provided by Tyler was excellent through email, as updates were provided I knew exactly what to expect when I arrived home from work. I was able to let my roommate/renter know what was going on also. When there are service items scheduled, such as chimney cleaning and window washing, all homeowners are notified well in advance so we can plan ahead and be prepared. I feel like I can contact the company at anytime and communicate my concerns, if any arise. read more

As a real estate broker in business for over 15 years, I have had my share of dealing with HOA's. When researching a complex for a seller or a buyer, it is imperative to receive the information from the management company as quickly as possible. It has become the "norm" for most management companies to not answer their phones, nor return phone calls or emails. My experience working with Best was far different. On the very first attempt to contact Best, they actually answered the phone and had an immediate answer for my question. They were able to provide the needed resale cert for my seller within hours of payment and not the typical 10 days. They had firsthand knowledge about the complex and neighbors commented on their satisfaction of working with Best. They get an A in my book. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This review is about my sole experience with Best Management. Last night a pipe burst in our condo complex, and woodinville water was out right away and turned off the water from the main. Since then best management has tried and failed several times to even FIND the leak, let alone start repairs. It has been over 24 hours without running water in a family home. We had tried to get in contact with Best several times at their main number and no one ever picked up. We even tried Best's 24h emergency number and did not get an answer. We had gotten the cell number of the representative for our complex, and when my partner called the representative, Tyler, she was yelled at, and eventually hung up on. It was difficult to get in contact with anyone who knew more about the situation. It seemed he was trying to get the situation fixed, but the way he treated us for just trying to clarify information was unprofessional , and his ability to effectively communicate with us was lacking. If you have the choice to work with anyone else, please do so and save yourself the hassle. read more

They maintain the grounds well, including leaf blowing even when there are virtually none to blow - as if on auto pilot. But our building has needed basic routine maintenance tasks for a LONG time that remain undone. read more

I was hoping for good things from them but I was disappointed. They are disorganized and stuck in the 90s as far as computer use goes. Although apparently this is nothing unusual among HOA management companies since if things were too computerized, they make themselves obsolete. They did things that were of questionable legality. They forgot to do important things that cost the HOA money. They are quick to deny responsibility for things that go wrong. And sometimes when they hired one of their "Preferred contractors", the price of the contractor seemed excessively high. The one complement I can say on their behalf, is that they did not attempt to bully the Board meetings as some other management companies have. They let the Board members run the Board meetings. read more
