My wife purchased a fridge that was scheduled to be delivered today. When she first ordered it, we were given a delivery window of the entire day and planned accordingly. Then they sent a message stating it would be delivered between 1:30 and 5 PM. Since they said they wouldn't be there any sooner than 1:30, I went to be with my family approx. 30 minutes away as we had a death in the family. Then they tried to call my wife around 11:30 AM to say they were running ahead and coming early. My wife was unable to answer, but they came early anyway. They sent a text saying they would be there around 12:26 PM. I received a call at approx. 10 minutes before that time saying they were at my house. I explained that I was on my way as fast as possible and that we were experiencing a death in the family. They said they could only wait 15 minutes. I pleaded with them to wait a few more minutes, but they wouldn't stating they could not due to policy. They said the only thing they could do was leave the fridge on the back porch and acted like this was doing me a favor as they aren't even supposed to do that. When I tried to call the store I found that there is no direct line to the store and spoke to someone at a call center. This person actually said they should not have come early and what they did was unacceptable, but, of course, there was nothing he could do about it as he doesn't have a direct line to the store either. My only course of action would be to go to the store, an hour away, in person and file a claim. I will never be purchasing anything from Best Buy ever again and will throw a party the day I hear they are closing for good. I know this is not a problem that is exclusive to Best Buy, but when is enough going to be enough? read more

I've worked here for two years. If you want to feel like your worth nothing than apply. The managers are so toxic. They create the worst work environment. You want to be trained? No another employee will train you. Managers here use their personal feelings as a reason to not let you work. They will cut ur hours until you can't afford to work there anymore. If they don't like you then say goodbye to hours. If you provide good numbers for the company then then they will praise you and every way but giving you a raise. DO NOT WORK HERE. This review is for the Geek Squad: I was on vacation visiting family and my iPhone shattered when my 9 year old dropped it. I have insurance on it and when I contacted Apple they told me Best Buy is an authorized service provider. I dropped off my phone and was told they had to change the insides and it would basically be a new phone. They had it for 4 hours. First they said they contacted me when it was ready which that never happened. Second when I got back to my mothers house later that evening my phone stopped working (even though it was fine except the backing). When I took it back the next morning they said I could leave it again but it would take about 5/6 hours. I couldn't wait because I was leaving for home. I took my phone to the Apple Store and found out they put in software that was bad and not even new that was supposed to be used and that The Geek Squad there should have know about this. This was very disappointing to hear because I had to pay for a service that wasn't even done right! That if they had someone competent they would have known! I have a package that should be shipping from best buy. I called customer support because it was not delivered yesterday as I was informed. The package still has not shipped. They have not even created a shipping number. I asked if I could go to the store and pick up the item. They will not allow me to pick up my item at the store because it has been over 30 minutes since the order was placed. They will not provide me a shipping number because they have not created one. I have no idea when I will actually receive my lap top. It has been 5 days since my order was received. It is 2 days past the delivery date. After three hours and multiple representatives, I do know that the lap top is currently in Dublin on a shelf. I also know that when someone picks it up and creates a shipping label they will email the tracking number to me. If it is past the arrival date, it has not shipped, and a tracking number has not been created they should allow me to pick it up in the store. Very unhappy customer. read more

Dropped off a laptop to be repaired. The young (very obese) man behind the counter assured me they would retrieve the info I wanted off the hard drive. I asked for it to be put on a jump drive because I didn't need yet another laptop. Instead, he charges me for a new hard drive (under the guise of "repair cost". I waited 5 days for the info retrieval and when I pick it up all they did was install a new hard drive. I asked about the files and another associate told me to do that would require a different level of repair (for additional money). i wouldn't step foot in this Best Buy store if they PAID me and I was so furious at the lack of service, I can't bring myself to give them ANY stars (But I must give at least one to post). In the last 10 months, I have frequented this particular Best Buy. Though I have not purchased anything from the store, I have however used the restroom (#2) every time. My first few visits were not so great considering their customer Wi-Fi was not available in the restroom area. This location recently moved here to this shopping center. I do like this location much better. It is less congested and parking is better. The experience I had with them on this particular occasion was less than stellar. We wanted to inquire about laptop repairs. We asked about cost, etc. The associate helping us didn't seem like he wanted to help at all. He wouldn't even touch the laptop or attempt to troubleshoot it. He automatically said it would be shipped off and that costs $85 and then you'll get a call telling you what's wrong with it and then you can decide what to do with it, or you can do no nothing and you've lost that money for shipping. His demeanor was less than enthusiastic and less than helpful. We will definitely call local, smaller shops in town. read more

I got to the store and someone told me the camera's street date wouldn't hit for two more days. You refused to sell it to me after I drove all the way to the store. Meanwhile Best Buy's all over the nation were honoring the Mfg Release Date instead of a made-up Best Buy Street date and selling the camera off the shelves. I tried to transfer the cameras to other stores, tried to buy one and and have you hold it until the street date, no dice. The next day you sold the cameras to someone off the shelf. I showed up around lunchtime that day to find both cameras had been sold, even after you said they were not for sale. Like I said, you lost me as a customer. read more

More like Worst Buy! I dropped my laptop off for a simple screen repair a month ago. The warranty had expired but I was told I could pay for a repair and that it would be ready in two weeks. So I payed the $85 dollar shipping fee upfront and left the laptop with them. Two weeks passed, and no call. So I called to check on the status and was sent to an international line where they informed me it was ready for pickup. I show up in store and they say that they don't have the laptop, but it was being overnighted. A week later, after being sent a confirmation that it was delivered in store, I come to pickup the laptop. They searched around for 40 minutes before informing me that they couldn't repair without the warranty and the laptop had been sitting in store broken the entire time. Even though the laptop was never actually shipped, my $85 was not refunded. They offered store credit but I will not be making another purchase with Best Buy again! read more

I Purchased a 75 in television from Best Buy on July 20th I have been unable to get a solid delivery date since I purchased it the TV was supposed to be delivered on 7/22 between 7- 1 I received confirmation that it was coming but it was never delivered I spoke to about 4 reps on that day the last 1 I spoke with (Catherine) did the best she could with scheduling so I'm supposed to receive the TV today between 12-8 I call to check because I didn't receive a email saying it's arrival day and of course for some reason I'm not on the delivery list and need to schedule and appointment so the rep rescheduled it for today same time frame and I just went to my Best buy account and boom it tells me that I need to schedule a delivery time and date for the merchandise I can't get any help that's going to resolve the issue I'm going around and around in a circle just to get a TV that I Paid for please beware of using best buy for delivery the customer service is awful tou get no response from Coporate office and they are just all around not helpful I will NEVER deal with Best Buy again nor.will.I recommend any one else deal with them read more
