We have been purchasing electronics and laptops from Best Buy Midland for years. Normally, the sales staff is very good. Just bought an expensive Mac and was sold the Microsoft 365 subscription a week ago. I wasn't thinking, and my IT guys reminded me at the office that I already had this through One Drive for years. I went to return and the mid aged girl with long black hair came to assist the guy at customer service helping me. She told me she couldn't return it. Never offering any additional steps toward resolution. I leave and call the Best Buy Corp number. They immediately returned the subscription to my card. What she failed to tell me was that this store does not have the authority to return Microsoft subscribed products? Ridiculous. I don't know why she couldn't have just told me how to get a return myself, unless she was ignorant of the fact. So, don't let them tell you this isn't returnable! It makes you wonder if it is the Midland store employees the company does not trust, or is it everywhere? The subscription was under $100..... lol read more

ABSOLUTE CLOWN SHOW These idiots lost my $6500 iMacPro for over a month. When I picked up the iMacPro after repair, I didn't notice the damage because of the package was set on the floor, and the lighting was far overhead. Later I discovered the whole lower edge of the iMacPro was chipped, dented, scratched, and the stand was bent. Total time they had my iMacPro was 45 days. Any attempt to call the Midland BestBuy Store by phone will get routed to a overseas third party who don't know what they are doing, and do not care. Even the third party cannot contact the store. This repair was covered under AppleCare. However, since BestBuy is an authorized 3rd party repair provider for Apple products, Apple has no control over the service or quality of repairs provided to BestBuy customers. ***To their credit the Apple Advisors bent over backwards to help find my iMacPro, and are still helping me to get my iMacPro repaired.*** GeekSquad... I bought a GoPro Smart Remote yesterday and as I'm leaving the cashier slaps an open box sticker on the remote box, I thought it was a paid for sticker so I wave it at the door greeter and walk out. Absolutely ridiculous that I can't get anyone in person on the phone at the local store here in Midland just to find out IF they've finished with their construction so I can go inside their store and shop. BEST BUY you lost an opportunity to sell me a computer due to the fact you're renovating and have been renovating FOREVER AND because I'm tired of having to wait at least 5 minutes on the phone to talk to a live person. Kevin who was by appliances was very helpful today. The first time we went today we found something we wanted but it was too big to carry by hand and as soon as we realized this Kevin came by to ask if we needed anything and he was kind enough to bring us a cart. Then we went by again the same day for a blender but we weren't able to find the price on it. However, KEVIN was there again and was able to help us out! It is little wonder that Best Buy is on the rocks as a company. HORRIBLE service, and they will not back up what they sell. I purchased a printer cartridges for my HP Printer. Installed them, and they all worked but the new black cartridge. Reinstalled the new cartridge just to make sure, and it still wouldn't print black. I took the cartridge back, because it is apparently defective. I was told at the service desk they would not take it back because it was opened. I told the guy, that yes, it was opened, but that it did not work. They flat refused to make good on a defective product. This is not the first time I have had problems at the Midland Best Buy. Been there and not been able to obtain assistance from the sales staff: they were all standing around talking. This was the last straw. I will not go back to Best Buy. When I entered the store in Midland, there were 5 young men wearing Best Buy shirts and standing at the counter at the entrance to the store. I looked at them and at the overhead signs for the different departments. None of the young men spoke to me so I started reading the overhead signs. One of the young men asked me what I was looking for (a security motion camera) and he looked up at the overhead sign and said, "They're over there. I'll have someone come over there to help you. " I went to the motion cameras and NO ONE showed up to help me. Eventually, my husband came into the store to find me. I told him no one would help me so he went to the "pack of five hanging out at the entrance counter and asked if I could get some help. One of the "pack" came over and just stood by me, never saying a word. I was furious and told him so. He then asked "what I wanted". To make a long story short, they did not have what I was looking for so we left the store. As I hobbled out of the store (wearing my walking boot to protect my broken foot) I marveled at the incompetence, rudeness, and lack of professionalism from this group. But what else could I have expected from a "pack" of untrained, uncaring, incompetent individuals. read more

Abhorrent customer service. I went there to get two amazon fire sticks, a garmen gps and a cell phone holder. I talked to the guys in the TV department and they seemed very knowledgeable and helped me out. I picked up the amazon cube and a standard fire stick. I went to check out and the cashier said it would not ring up. They called back to one of the TV guys and said they couldn't sell this one but had another. Then they didn't have another. So due to something called a street date the manger would not let by the item I picked off the shelf. His solution was he would remove the items from the floor. Which would help me not at all. I am very disappointed in Best Buy. I went in looking for car stereo's. He did ask if he could help me. So I proceeded with questions about what would fit my car and installation questions. He wasn't very helpful at all. Most of the Stereos were not working, no price and no list of what they could do. When I asked about having it installed he sorta knew about the price but then said they couldn't install and I would have to go to Odessa. Maybe I should have talked to someone else. I always ask the clerk at the checkout those two questions before he/she asks me. It's my polite way of saying "no". Other than that one little annoyance at the register, I really like this place. They always seem to have a good selection of Cd's - even the older ones. And as everyone knows, you can't walk more than two feet in any direction without one of the employees tackling you and asking if you need help finding anything. Does someone work on commission?? Good place . And well knowledgable staff. I was concern due to that this area is bad for service. I was very pleased how I was treated. I asked about a couple of items. And even showed a couple of options. I went in to look at a couple tv's. I let them know I was looking on line since it was going out of state to my mom. They treated me like if I was going to buy it there. They didn't even ask what website I was looking at. They did tell me of some of their sales on line also. I already knew. Since I came to see the tv's that were on their website. But it showed their professionalism. I haven't made up my mind on what to get. But I know now more on what I was looking at and I will buy it from Best Buy. I bought my Mac Pro laptop from best buy because they have a warranty that will replace it if anything happens to it. Except if it's stollen. I never have used it. But I use my laptop any where knowing that. Great place I will soon be back. read more

Whatever you do, do not goto this store if you appreciate customer service or competency. I was told countless times over the phone by a "manager" that they in fact did have a product(iPhone 6 plus case). I drive to the store only to get dumb looks from everyone and told they don't carry it yet. It's going on 3 weeks since release of the iPhone 6 plus. Additionally every time I went to the store to look, the shelves are blown...nothing on them. Looks exactly like Ross or even better, Walmart after lone star time for the month was done. I get it Midland is crowded yada yada, but come on man...know a products demand and order appropriately. Their stock hasn't changed in 2 weeks that I know of. Shelves still empty looking like a garage sale. Pathetic. And most important of all when asking someone to explain what's going on they pretty much look like a deer in the headlights and give no real reason. Funny that "Best Buy doesn't carry that yet" according to Midland managers but the Odessa store does can you say idiots? Will be making the drive to Odessa when I need my best buy fix. Went there to browse and had to use the restroom for a quick stop but wouldn't you know it, they had no soap in the restroom, not even the anti-bacterial soap which was empty. Fortunatly they had some heavy duty hand soap in the dispenser but when I attempted to wash my hands NONE of the 3 water faucets were working, which is a "health code violation" when I exited the room the only source of water to wash my hands off was the water fountain right outside the door. I went to a sales associate and told him of the issues with Men's Restroom and he just gave me a very ugly shrug and perked his lip,rolled his eyes back and walked away!! It was on December 23 when we visited, so 2 days before Christmas, it was pretty busy! Think twice about making any major purchases from these guys. We bought a dishwasher from them in major part because they offered free installation the following Monday after a Wednesday purchase. Due to some glitch they were unable to install it that Monday so we rescheduled for Tuesday. On Tuesday they said, "We have you scheduled for Wednesday." So, we rescheduled for the 10-12 the following Monday. Now, it's Monday. Apparently, a 10-12 installation window means that they will call at 12:30 to tell you they are on their way. Good thing I don't have anything better to do than to sit around waiting for my dishwasher to be installed. read more

I went and purchased a new iMac Desktop computer. While trying to scan the bar code the service guy dropped it. He kindly replaced it with another on the shelf and put the one he dropped back in the shelf to sell to the next customer. I paid the $$$ for the computer and made my way to the door when i was abruptly stopped by this kranky can of biscuits door Nazi telling me i needed to to show a receipt to leave the premises. Me, being the good natured joke hobbiest i am smiles and said, "how fast can you run"? Which looking back i clearly should have known wasn't fast. And she said "I'll call the cops on you for theft". I asked her what part of This country stands for guilty until proven innocent. This is precisely what's wrong with this country. The manager of the Geek Squad department, Matthew Vasquez is so awesome! I came in yesterday very stressed and frantic because my MacBook Air would not charge or turn on. I'm an online college student so I was freaking out and immediately had to buy a new MacBook. Today, Matthew called me and explained that despite our previous thoughts that the computer was not repairable, he kept trying to do everything he could to restart the computer and get it working. After taking the laptop completely apart and discovering that there was no corrosion or internal damage, he was able to restore the computer to full functionality! He called me right away and I came back to Best Buy to pick it up. He was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. He's extremely knowledgeable and took the extra time out of his day to exhaust all options before giving up, I could tell that he truly cared about the predicament I was in. I don't think I have ever met more rude customer service people in my life. I had a return and had the customer service representative argue with me even though I knew that what I was returning did not fit my device and then a supervisor came over and continued to argue with me. Not to mention, the fact that they made me stand in line and didn't get another representative until one other person got in line behind me. I guess that's the cut off point when they have two people standing in line. It also took 3 people to do return for the guy in front of me. This store service is terrible! I received an expensive gift from here but no gift receipt. I wanted to simply exchange for the exact same item - same cost - in a different color. The young person at customer service told me that I would be charge sales tax AGAIN on the item since I didn't have a receipt. I AM NOT going to ask a gift giver for a receipt - HOW RUDE! I asked for a manager who also told me to go back to the gift giver and ask for the receipt. Ultimately, I paid the DOUBLE SALES TAX and exchanged the item. I came home and contacted Best Buy Customer Support. They informed me that the store manager should have done a sales tax override and NOT charged the taxes but that they would not help me. I went into Best Buy to get the help and knowledge from a pro who deals with lap tops and tablets all day and this is what it got me. I bought a Surface Pro 2 128G for 999.00 with a two year warranty. The very next day the Surface Pro 3 was available for order and the salesman never once brought it up to me. My device is less then 30 days old and already outdated. If they would have informed me I would have waited the little time to get the brand new tech. They offered me less then half of what I paid for the device because the Pro 3 is already out. So Mad! read more

I tried to exchange a new set of Beats & was told I could not because of the return policy. The customer service rep Brittany could not assist me nor could the assistant manager Noe. I left & later that evening had her boyfriend message me complaining of me being rude to his girlfriend. So it is acceptable for the employee to share my info with just anyone? Pacific appliances...Bought a refrigerator and was told it was getting delivered on a Tuesday. Then received an email saying it got bumped up to Saturday..Great job right..nope...Friday I was called and said it wasn't getting delivered until Wednesday now..wth..ok fine...well Wednesday gets here and I call to make sure..all of a sudden it got pushed back till the following Saturday and was told we can make any promises because we're not sure if it gonna be delivered then either..wth right. Went into the store and talked to a manager and the manager was clueless of how to do their job. Was offered another refrigator but that wouldn't be able to get here until the 5th, but I could pick it up on the 2nd..smh..can't add anything to the trucks, so you have to wait..smh..
