The15 day return policy is a joke. Sears gives 90. went to return a pair of speakers and got shut down. Never opened the package, in pristine condition, 4 week old purchase. I went out of my way to go to Best Buy for the purchase, and now will go out of my way to shop elsewhere. People in the store were no help, just shoved me off to an 800 number, where i spent 30 minutes being paced on hold and empty apologies. They have seen my last dollar. My phone broke and they didn't have the sames phone in stock so returned it and then got a blackberry they said wait in line and they'll set it up for me. Well 30mins later im next and they said ohh we're sorry but your gonna have to set it up on your own. I was like what the hell i waited in line for 30mins cause this fool told me he'd do it. Well after all that they did end up setting up the phone and they gave me a $50 gift card for my wait. I had nothing else to do that day so a $50 gift card was well worth the 30min wait. Came in today looking to get a new stereo for my 05 Silverado, found what I was looking for, but the price was out of my range. So I was about to leave when I asked if they priced match and they told me yes so I got on Amazon and scanned the items they were going to charge me full price for I ended up saving almost half off the products. The first price was almost $350 I ended up paying $200 with the stereo and parts needed and that includes the instal! A big shout out to TONY the geek squad tech. I live in Clovis so I try to give this store my business but they are just awful. I decided to update my home audio system and only half of there listening stations work. The store is dirty and smells funny. I found something decent on the weekend and then went home to see if everything would fit, I went back the next day and the sale was over the employee did not try to honor the price or anything he just said "sorry sale is over". I ended up ordering everything from Amazon, they lost out on 5k sale.......... Anther note some lady in Dish shirt asked me if I found what I was looking for, I said no the item is no longer sale. I came in today to return an item w/ my 3yr old son who is autistic. He was rowdy today & everyone can see I was having a hard time with him. When I got to the register, Tim was supposed to help me but there was no urgency. No customer service skills at all! He began yawning repeatedly, fiddling with a laptop he had in front of him. I handed him the receipt & he then asked me questions that could have been answered on the receipt. He had an attitude & repeatedly checked the product over and over. He then kept asking me if I was missing a piece & acted surprised when I said no as if I were hiding something. And finally after he processed my return he said, "have fun" in reference to my crying child. He did not have a name tag, didn't hand me my receipt and until I asked for his name he didn't tell me to have a good day. DO NOT, I repeat do NOT buy a cell phone through Best Buy. I recently bought one from them and when it was defective (within the 14 days they give you) I went to try to exchange it and just so happened that the serial number from the phone and box didn't match up with the receipt. I have no idea how they could activate and sell a phone and claim they didn't sell it to me but they clearly took my money for it? Their customer service was terrible and when I asked to speak to the manager she said there was nothing they can do. I'm clearly upset at what they did, needless to say I wasted my time with them and ended up at Apple and they replaced it and they were great to me. So heads up to everyone! Customer service at this store is terrible. If this manager worked for me I would fire him. Manager Richard never called me back and I was told he was going to call me back twice to help resolve my issue even after a district manager was OK with a replacement for my oven that is producing carbon monoxide and making my family sick. Every time I call he is too busy with phone calls or other customers. I don't know how this guy still has his job, he must be some idiot they hired and trained for 15 minutes. Terrible, terrible place.Bought a gateway laptop and after three days teh screen cracked out of teh blue. When i took it back they could not have cared less. Andrew (manager) told me in 6 yaers he had never taken a laptop back with a cracked screen and he certainly seemed to be proud of that accomplishment. Instaed of backing their customer he pretty much called me a liar when i assured him the laptop was not physically hit and pointed out the lack of any nick or scratch. I walked into the store and asked an associate where I would find car stereos. He pointed them out, and said he would get someone to help me. I looked around at the car stereo inventory, and remained in that specific area of the store for a full 1/2 hour. Not one person approached me to ask if they could help. It was not busy. I was planning on purchasing that day, and hoping to get it installed. Instead, I ended up walking out of the store after 1/2 hour, and will go purchase a stereo from a local merchant rather than a big box chain. Absolutely pathetic customer service. read more

Geek Squad at this store is horrible. Free consultation means bring in it and we will look at it for $149.99. To do anything is an extra charge on top of charges. They replaced the hard drive and then handed me my computer back with none of my files or information on the computer (nobody told me this before they wiped it clean and replaced the hard drive). They could replace my files for an additional charge. Several weeks after I got it back I have a notice on my screen that said the "copy of windows is not genuine". They installed the a counterfeit version of windows but denied it and I was back to square one. More money to fix the problem I believe they caused! read more

Best buy has a lot of good products but there staff and geek squad need help. Bought a tv there and had the geek squad install it and they did a sloppy job. The tv was not completely on the bracket and it was smashing the hdmi cords on the back. The helper was telling the lead guy that it did not snap in but he said it did and did not bother to check. Had to replace cable they smashed and snap bracket on since this tv was big,did not want it to fall on my kids. That was a waste of 200 bucks. I ordered a Mac book from Best Buy so that I can give it to my husband for Father's Day. Ordered it from here as they could deliver it before I leave on vacation. The day it's to be delivered I'm notified my order has been "delayed". And will be delivered when I'm out of town. So I'm irritated but what can you do. I call to cancel the order as I don't want a 3,00.00 item sitting on my doorstep for a week. I'm on hold for over 39 minutes to be told I can't cancel the order and have to wait until it is delivered. I explain I won't be available to receive the item and will not be available to cancel the order as I will be on vacation. I also feel that the order was cancelled by the company when they did not honor their commitment to deliver it as promised. The response was so sorry, there are no other options. When I pressed to resolve this issue ( I was heated) the gentleman from Best Buy hung up on me. I give them no stars. read more

This is just one experience I had there. Went with my brother to help him upgrade to a new iPhone at 6pm on a Saturday. It was busy and they were taking names on a iPad for a wait list. The lady who was also the department manager takes our name and says it's going to be quite awhile. My brother and I didn't have any plans so we said no problem... We can hang around the store and browse. At 730pm, I approach the same lady for an update. She says that there are still quite a few people in front of us. She says not to worry though because we would make the cut. She estimated about an hour. I knew they closed at 9pm so I asked her if she was sure. She said yes. My brother and I hang out for another 1.5hrs. We are literally the next people to get helped and that lady says at 9pm, they're closing. I thought it was a prank. This lady tells me that there's nothing she can do and that at 9pm their system shuts down. My brother and I are laughing about having spent 3hrs in their crappy store. I ask her if we can come the following morning and get guaranteed help and she says no. This is why people buy online. Customer service at these big box locations is atrocious. read more

I purchased my Samsung S8 Galaxy from Best Buy. There were phone technical issues and Verizon replaced the phone at no charge. When I needed to file an insurance claim for a cracked phone at Best Buy, they did not have the new IMEI number and told me they could not process the claim because the IMEI did not match. They told me to contact corporate Best Buy to have the IMEI changed.. I spent 1.5 hours talking to corporate who gave me a confirmation number and told me they would change the IMEI. This has not been done and I spend another hour talking to corporate Best Buy only to be disconnected. They told me the Best Buy store could change an IMEI. I was then disconnected. Their customer service is out of the Philippines. In order to avoid aggravation, and your valuable time. DO NOT BUY THE BEST BUY PHONE INSURANCE. More like zero stars. I was the first person in the store at 10. I went to the headphones section which is the first thing you come to as you walk in. I looked and looked at the headphones...no help, as the clerk and the security people stood 8 feet away chatting. I finally told them I needed help as I wanted to listen to the demo sets. He pointed to the cable and told me to provide the music from my phone. I messed around trying to get any of the headphones to work for another 10 minutes. Finally, I asked security to call a manager. Big fella came waddling down the aisle in a bit. I asked why the display wasn't working, why no one asked to assist me, and why the 2 workers who stood and watched didn't call for assistance. Manager mumbled an apology and fiddled with a couple of headphones and looked at me and said, "I guess they don't work." Impressive effort. After 40 minutes, I left empty-handed. My husband and I bought a Samsung Smart TV and a Samsung surround sound system last December. Two gentlemen delivered at the appointed time of 1:00. When they unpacked the TV they noticed the box was slightly crushed and after opening the carton found the tv was broken. They had to return to the store (a 45 min drive) and pick up a replacement. after returning to our home and setting it up along with the sound system they could not get the remote to control the sound up or down on the surround sound. It stayed at only one level. LOUD. The television with the sound bar had no problem adjusting the sound. They spent about an hour trying to correct the problem then gave up and said they had another delivery to make. They were behind schedule because the first tv was broken and had to make the trip back to Fresno. This added 1/12 hours to their travel time and their next customer was waiting for their delivery. They told me to go online and watch a tutorial! Fast forward to today. I still can't adjust the sound on my surround sound. I called Best Buy and was transferred 7 times only to be told I need to bring the TV and surround sound system into their Fresno store for repair. I was on the phone for two hours to be told this. I explained there was nothing to repair. They needed to come back to our home and complete the set up. They said since the tv was less than 40 inches big it needed to be brought into their store. What good would it do to return the tv and sound system and have them set it up in the store only to turn around and take it back home and try to figure out how to set it up again in our home? I'm 65 and my husband is 71. Are you kidding me??? The tv and system is still under warranty but what good is that? This is the worst customer service ever!!!! We are now paying another company to come to our home to complete a job Best Buy's geek squad should have taken care of months ago. Take my advice and shop elsewhere. read more

Went to the Fresno location for a laptop we saw online. They said they did not have any so we went to this location. We were told they had two, and that Fresno had a couple, even though they told us they did not. After about 10 minutes of searching, the girl comes back and says they sold them both right before we got there. So we agree to order it. We pay cash, in full upon ordering. She says it will be in before March 25. So on March 24, my husband calls and they said, no it will be on the 25th. So yesterday, the 25th, we go down there in the afternoon and they say, no, it's not here. So my husband complains, stating that they told him it would be there and then he asks to talk to a manager. The manager comes out and says well yours isn't here, but we have three on the floor. Apparently, they get daily shipments of this computer. Why weren't we called when the first shipment came in? We didn't have any special software loaded or anything like that. I think BB oversells their merchandise. So after causing a problem, my husband was able to walk out with the computer we ordered that had been sitting on the floor shelf all weekend. But "his" computer still had not arrived. Shouldn't the fact that we PAID IN ADVANCE WITH CASH give us precedence over a random customer to walk into the store? read more

My wife and I came in to buy apple watches and the guys who helped us were awesome! Of course they were apple employees and not Best Buy employees...but they answered all our questions, addressed the concerns we had about the product and were just all around awesome!!! I am giving this three stars because we were also looking at sound bars, the Best Buy employee who helped us didn't really know what he was talking about and couldn't really answer our questions, we had to figure it all out on our own. i scheduled an appointment for a sub instillation on my car and was told over the phone it would cost $100 and would take tops an hour. when i showed up they told me that the price i heard over the phone was the supposed "old" fee for installation, its now 130$ plus tax. when every other location i have called said $100 as well. the person over the phone set my appointment at 2pm, so far they've had me waiting since, at 4:30 i checked in and nothing was done to the car, they said "it'll take another hour or so". Checked again at 5:30 and i got fed up and talked to the Manager Richard who seemed super helpful till he did nothing but give no good answers besides giving excuses. it's now 6pm and its still going be another hour. i checked on my car at 5:30 and it looked like nothing was done to it. i'm very upset and wish i was given a better time estimation instead of waiting for a blind estimation all day. Finally done at 7:00pm, 5 hours later, asked for some sort of discount and they refused and argued with me, instead of having good customer service was telling us we lucked out because they gave us $10 off a part. being nice apparently doesn't get you anywhere, i thought the customer was always right. thanks a lot geek squad, never going back to this location. read more

Generally, a not so good experience except for when I finally got someone who seemed to know what he was talking about (Brad). About a week ago I went with my mother to get her a new laptop. I felt that the individuals (yes more than one person) that assisted us were not knowledgeable about the laptop features and models at all! So we left and came back a couple of days later. We were assisted by a gentleman named Brad. I think he knew enough to pass the "I know what I'm talking about" test after I put the poor guy through the ringer. I felt he had good customer service and was able to generally answer my questions to my satisfaction. I went back again yesterday to get my mother a wireless printer also. Once again, I felt the guy who helped me was not knowledgeable about any printers or wireless mouses. I got this impression because he constantly went back and forth to there computers to answer my questions just like the initials guys did a week ago. I already knew what the computer said cause I had it up on my phone. Overall, I am not impressed with this branch. Only good if you don't want to deal with crowds. The customer service is ok at best. I recommend going somewhere else to get information on the product you want other than what the computer says about the product your interested in. But you can't beat there price match guarentee. read more
