Pretty pitiful, I want to order the new Oura ring 5 online, but I thought I would go to a store and look at the display first. One to reconfirm my ring size is the same as Oura ring 4 and to see if I want rose gold or regular gold. I walk into the store and am greeted. I ask the employee where I can find the Oura ring display and he vaguely points to a corner of the store. I go that direction thinking as long as he sends me to the general direction of where the rings are, then I can manage to find it myself. The rings were not in that direction, so I spent the next 6-8 minutes looking for the rings. I could not find them and it took another 5 minutes until I was able to find another employee. Turns out they don't have the displays out, but I can go to the checkout to find the sizing kits. The lady at the checkout wasn't so helpful either, I was looking for a sizing kit to purchase so I can wear for 24 hours. But she just kept telling me to tell her the ring size I need and she will bring it out to me to purchase. Only problem is, oura ring number 5 is on preorder right now. So she probably can't go and grab it for me. I just said thank you and walked out. Overall my experience was remarkably unhelpful. I'll try another location and hope for a better experience. read more

Heather the "Manager" is terrible. You would think after me being a Best Buy total member for so many years it would mean something to this company. I guess not, she is incredibly rude, and what's worse she doesn't even know what she's doing. I've been going to Best Buy for so many years I know what my "total" covers, but just to be clear I called the customer service and they "escalated" the concern because even they admitted she was wrong. You all need to train your people better, and have them value your loyal customers. This experience could have lost you a Customer, I doubt you all care tho... read more

They pulled a bait and swith with my wife. Told her that she can bring the old TV and they wold dispose of it for free and load the new TV. So she purchased it and when we arrived at the store they said they were going to charge her because of the brand of the TV. We previously purchased the old TV from best buy. Very dishonest. When we called corporate to complain they hung up on us. I hope you burn in hell. read more

Wish I could put ZERO!! Absolute WORST experience EVER! AT THIS LOCATION!!! Purchased an OPEN BOX EXCELLENT condition TV 1st - DROVE AN HR AWAY FOR PU & waited OVER 1.5 HR for them to NOT be able to find the tv ! 2nd - gave us a TV in bubble wrap with NO tv stand legs - no remote- then with no back cover. Guy stated he had to wrap the tv up himself bc it wasn't ready. *red flag* - this does not sound like an excellent condition tv 3rd - went back to complain and speak with a manager now. She acted very friendly and gave a little refund back for the missing parts and a "free" 30 dollar gift card . And I say this bc it most definitely was NOT , free ! 4th!!!!- when unwrapping , I noticed some scratches/dents & when plugged in , whole thing was broken. Trash asf! 5th!!!!!- went to exchange it at a closer loc and was told I had to pay the difference for the new condition priced tv. decided to return it and this is when I realized I was scammed out of that $30 "free" GC. My original amount paid , and refunds, do not match the original price I paid. I am short $30. & the gas used ! read more

Great customer service today!!! Thanks for the Ascended!! Was able to get the last Pokemon box. Employee said "Always customer first"

I haven't been to Best Buy in yrs, but my (now 13 yr old) daughter told me she wanted a large computer monitor for her bday. I assumed she wanted a docking station for her Mac and a larger desktop monitor. But when I got to BB, she further explained that she actually wanted a PC desktop for gaming. I felt a little blindsided. I thought I was spending $500 and suddenly I'm looking at 2k setups. Without any warning or time to research. Ramy was soooo helpful. For a high school kid, he most definitely understood his stuff and was very good at explaining computers in a way I understood without it in any way sounding condescending. I know zero about gaming computers, but I never felt dumb because of it. I'd wished I had my gamer college aged son there, but Ramy made his help and presence unnecessary. I never felt any pressure to spend more than I wanted. Or buy more computer than she needed. He was very helpful in showing us a range of options at different price points and explained each of their pros and cons. I also really appreciated that even though she's only 13 and in junior high, he involved her in the conversation. He asked her questions and educated her on what she needed. He didn't just ignore her because she's a kid. I sure hope I won't be back here again, buying an expensive setup, but I'd hope he's working there should I be in that situation again read more

Best Buy does everything imaginable to not let you speak to the store. That would give zero stars as they are not customer friendly. However the store staff is great. They deserve 5 stars. I feel bad for them that the corporate support hamstrings them. read more

Went for an open box speaker advertised as "excellent". Took them 40 minutes to find it and they brought me a cardboard box with just the speaker and a random cable. No shoulder strap. No power brick. No packaging. I asked them to give me the open box "fair" price which was a $10 difference. She then tells me it will be another 30 minutes to update in the system. Couldn't even just credit the account with the difference. Called corporate for the credit and they were useless as well. Absolutely deplorable experience. Useless customer service. read more

Bought a microwave at Best Buy 2.5 years ago. Purchased an extended warranty, still active. The microwave crashed today, probably vent fan - pretty cheap repair. The warranty isn't worth the paper/receipt it's written on. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! read more

Wow best service ever. Congratulations to all staff you truly excel in customer service. I was so happy everyone answered my questions. Would you believe that a representative even walked me to the place to find an item. I wish Walmart could learn from this store. Went to this Aurora store on cyber Monday and although the store was empty, there was nobody around to help me and 5 other customers waiting in the Apple section. Lots of employees hanging around doing nothing, rude management, gave me a price on an open box item and when we got to the register, he gave me another price and was rude about it. It has taken 3 months, 17 days of taking off of work, getting babysitters, pet-sitters, etc yet we still do not have a working washer and dryer. They have replaced each unit multiple times. We are suffering through inconsistent scheduling, third parties of varying quality and absurd lengths of hold times on the phone with customer service. Run to Costco or any other place that is actually reputable, legitimately has real customer service and will followup and follow thru. They have canceled appointments, missed them, not showed up and been unwilling to make this right. It also takes more than 24 hours for them to update their system. After hunting both online and in person at other stores for a tablet case, we checked this location of Best Buy to see what was onhand. No descriptions online at any of the big places (Best Buy, Frys or Microcenter) were very helpful either with generation and specs, so it was good to see them in person and be able to ask a human (in this case, Corey) who was able to handily double check the specs of the case I liked, and confirmed that it would be good. Friendly greeter also at the door was also able to aim us in the proper direction (good thing because it was a ways back in the store). Unlike a couple other places I checked, they had a decent selection of cases for the tablet. All told, happy with service and my purchase! read more

Here is the email I sent to Best Buy after a terrible experience there - I literally walked in saying I want to spend a ton of money and no one helped me.... Not sure if you manage the Aurora, IL location anymore but the terrible customer service there just cost your store around $5,000+ So I let the customer service person know that I needed assistance right when I walked in. I let her know that I was there to make a rather substantial purchase of laptops, TVs, watches and appliances. We waited for 20 minutes as the sales associates ignored us and looked at there phones. Made eye contact numerous times but they choose to not engaged with us. On our way out we let the person know what happened. He called a manager and no manager came. We just moved into a new house and the kids were excited to pick out stuff. Here is the list - 2 laptops 2 monitors 2 docking stations 2 keyboards 2 desk lights 1 garmin watch 1 - 85 inch tv with professional install 1 fridge 1 oven 1 microwave oven We were ready to go! Don't know what else to go besides let them know we are ready to spend! Good luck read more

I ordered a flat screen and asked for delivery Nov 7. They delivered it Oct 31. No one was home except of a handicap person. They leaned it up against the outside storm door so you could not open the door from the inside. The box clearly stated to deliver on Nov 7. There was no knock on the door to let any one home that the delivery had been made. Can't these people read? It's Worst Buy, not Best Buy. read more

I ordered a washer and dryer with install. When the third party installer Best Buy hired arrived they refused to install because there was some crud on the hook up valve. The hook up valve by the way isn't broken. It's just the installer refused to turn it on the premise it might be broken. When this same thing happened to my mom when she got a new washer from Home Depot they sent out a plumber for free and then rescheduled the installer. The plumber was there for two min and turned the knob. Best Buy not only refused to pay for a plumber the installer they hired left without speaking to me. He half hooked up the dryer and didn't leave the washer. He then proceeded to lie to his company that I threw a broom at him (even though we were in different rooms and I was on the phone with Best Buy). I believe he lied to have a reason to leave so he wouldn't be late to his next appointment. and then still hours later can't get me a straight answer when I'll get it my washer back. Plus I have to get my own plumber. As a women 7 1/2 months pregnant who is 5 feet tall. I've never had an installer not only lie about our interaction but then say he felt threatened. I can handle a lot of bad workmanship but lying so blatantly is unexpected and baffling. I paid in full for the install and products and I waited two months for Best Buy to deliver the product and for this to be the result, is horrific. I don't have my products and I've spent hours talking to Best Buy with no resolution on when I can get my products back and how we can resolve the issue of them hiring such a terrible third party installer. read more

I genuinely think this is one of the worst retail stores you can shop at when it comes to picking up items. They purposely will make you wait for no other reason than making you wait longer. They will purposely cancel orders when there's clearly items in stock. Literally any other store that is electronics-oriented could easily take out Best Buy by just providing marginally better customer service. Did I mention you can't directly call the store either? They've stopped accepting calls and man, I can't for the life me figure that out. A retail store just flat out not taking calls. Absolutely bizarre and just terrible business practice. If we didn't need random tech stuff that other stores don't have, I would have zero issue with Best Buy going under. read more

After dealing with lack luster customer service experience after another around town, it was awesome to come into BestBuy and have a great experience! Just dealing with an online pickup but it couldn't of been smoother. It was the day after Black Friday and they were swamped with order. Thanks Vandy and BestBuy...keep up the good work as always!! read more

I want to say this about the entire store policy but don't buy from this place. I bought a computer for my son and had the total tech protection on my account. Because I did drive up pick up they somehow associated the purchase with an account they were supposed to merge years ago that had all my same information on it. They tried to say I didn't have the protection at first to fix it when the monitor was broken 3 days after purchase. After hours on the phone I got that sorted out and it was sent in for repair with a $99 deductible. I was informed the next week it was eligible for replacement in the store. When I got there they said they would replace it but because that computer wasn't on sale anymore I would have to pay the several hundred dollar difference to get the same computer I will never shop there again read more

Hostile Best Buy employee grabbed my cell phone through my car window. This is ridiculous amid covid. The person was not profesional. She Did not understand that the model number did not match the SKU on the website. I found at least 3 products with wrong model no. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and without providing me proof or return that employees became defensive and started running away. When I took a picture of her to complain to the manager she grabbed my phone. What's more concerning is that it would have never happened in the store. So much for contactless curbside pickup. Now more dangerous than ever. read more

Customer service here is a joke. Spent 30 minutes waiting for someone to help us purchase an 85" TV. The only person that acknowledged us was the front door associate welcoming customers. Watched employees walk by us, wipe countertops, help people with blu-ray players who came in 20 minutes after us, and make eye contact with us with no acknowledgment or a "we'll be right with you". If anybody said that to us we would have left there with a TV and they would have secured a $2000 sale. NEVER giving this location our business again. read more

This Best Buy seriously needs some help. I drove all the way out here as they are a "Magnolia" store. Not a full separate location like the one on Elston (I love that store, BTW) but one with a small section dedicated to higher end electronics. The problem? This location has help that is clueless. I needed to purchase some new seats for my home theater. I went so I could actually sit in them to see what the difference is between the various models they supposedly carry. So you know- they only have two of the many models in this location. The first sales person I flagged over said she didn't know anything (at least she was honest) and brought over the "expert". This kid also knew nothing about the chairs, and went and found a third salesperson who basically read the tag on the chair to me and handed me a brochure. Then all three of them stood looking at the seats while I told them the features. Totally exasperating! Hmm . . . .maybe I should work there. And do you want to know the kicker that really set me off? I couldn't buy the theater seating in the store. If I wanted them, I had to go on line to order them. You mean I could have just stayed home and not talked to an "expert" to comparison shop? Gee . . .that's a great idea!! Maybe I'll just go on line and order my theater seating . . . . from someone else. Thanks for nothing, Best Buy. read more

I almost never buy anything whenever I go into Best Buy, I usually use the store to look around and explore and then I go on Amazon and get what I want for a better price. I would feel bad about saying that, except that I really don't feel this place deserves my business. I would have given just one star, except that I keep in mind that the store is clean, and that the people at the register are usually helpful and polite, unlike the people they have on the floor. I recently had a typical experience there; when it comes to more expensive items, like computers/laptops, I prefer to buy them at a store--maybe it's a psychological thing, I don't know--and so I had gone in willing to buy a laptop that evening, but was soured by the consistently dismissive demeanor of the staff in the different departments. I can't even remember the last time I was approached by someone asking me if I needed assistance--a few years at least--and the general attitude of the employees is very unprofessional, and they're often acting as they would if they were hanging out in a living room. I think I'll continue to use this store as the place I go to decide what I'm going to buy on Amazon. read more

I was desperate to have my new lap top set up (data from old laptop transferred). I didn't realize I had to make an appointment and was told I would have to come back but was very pleased with the assistance I received from Bruce Regel who squeezed me in since it was a pretty basic task that needed to be performed. He called me later that night to say that they had begun the work. The only negative was that I was under the impression that I would get my laptop back later the next day and found out it wouldn't be ready until the morning of the 3rd day (2 days after I dropped it off). They are very helpful at Geek Squad but I sense that they are helping a lot of customers out who are in a hurry just like I was to get their computers/laptops back. read more

ZERO star rating. Worse than "Not good" Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. I need to purchase an HDMI TV. I called BestBuy Southlands and went thru the voice prompts. The next 20 minutes were spent listening to their background music. Like an idiot, I hung up and tried again. This time I hung up after only 10 minutes. Problem is, I've been in the store before and heard the phones ringing non-stop. Nobody makes any attempt to answer the phone, and they just let them ring. And no, the store was not busy at that time. It's a good bet that there are potential customers on the other end - like I wanted to be.
