Many customers report horrible experiences with Best Buy appliance purchases, citing recurring issues like damaged deliveries, subcontracted installers making mistakes (or causing damage), repeated delays/rescheduling, and poor customer service, especially with warranty repairs or resolving delivery problems, leading to frustration and prolonged waits for working appliances. Common complaints involve scratched floors from installers, receiving dented or improperly installed items (like wobbly fridges), and difficulty getting issues resolved, with some customers stuck in cycles of failed deliveries or lengthy repair waits. My son has spent over 11 hours waiting for the delivery of the washer and dryer that I purchased for him. Then, they (third party delivery service) brought the dryer but "forgot" to bring the washing machine. They also brought the wrong plug for the dryer and said they didn't have any of the correct one in stock. They left the wrong cord and marked it as delivered. Then, a week later, they brought a broken washing machine... In store won't help you, they make you call the call center. After multiple phone calls and multiple hours on the phone, we now have to call a different number to talk to the "large product fulfillment resolution" center. This has been an absolute nightmare. I am a member of the "My BestBuy Total Membership" and have had no issues with in-store local purchases and customer service, but I will never again buy an appliance from Best Buy. read more

When Geek Squad wants to schedule a review a appointment they require you block out the entire day 7 Am - 7PM and will not tell you the 4 hour window they will really arrive until the day before. So you have to block an entire day a week or two in advance. Now TWICE they have called me the same day there were supposed to arrive that they would not be coming that day. To repeat twice I arranged to be home all day, the confirmed a 4 hour window the day before and twice they called the same morning they were to arrive and cancelled. There is a third time they did make it here and the board they brought to fix the problem did not work. They brought a broken board. Now they are demanding I have to block out a another day if I want them to come fix the problem. That will be the 5th appointment to fix one problem. NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. read more

I have lived in various states and counties, in which, Best Buy have been consistent in various quality merchandise for family members, household appliances, kitchen items, personal items, music cds and videos, etc., as a matter of fact, Best Buy was the first store that approved me for my first credit card. I came in here yesterday to get my dash cam installed. I made the appointment two weeks ago and had my appointment yesterday. I came 45 minutes early since that's what the email said the employees working here were super friendly very efficient the whole time to add my dash cam in took about an hour and a half not as long as I thought it would be I thought it was gonna be a lot longer. This is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere. I didn't have a chance to go inside Best Buy on this visit since I was there just to get the installation done, but I have been inside this location very huge establishment with several different things to choose from. They have a very wide selection of kitchen appliances, home theaters gaming systems computer so much more very great establishment. They even offer a Best Buy credit card, which you could choose different ways to use and pay great establishment you definitely get your dollar stretched over here for the value. Very great establishment. Great prices great experience. If you have not tried them I would recommend looking at bestbuy.com to see if there might be something here that you like my family and I love Best Buy we buy all of our home appliances Home theater systems in much more establishment. Short, sweet n simple..... I never owned a laptop, the last two I had were hand'me downs and I never felt a true ownership with them. Not to mention this was back in the early 2000's n late 2000's. Technology has come a LAAA'OONG WAY since and I was completely ELATED when I was FINALLY after procrastinating after sooooo many moons gonna purchase my new Chromebook! Now, I am team Android all the way and you can't tell me nothing honey! I am ALL about that Samsung life, I have been a devoted Samsung devotee since day ONE! Everything from phones, earbuds, appliances and now my first ever own Samsung Chromebook and in "Fiesta Red" which looks even better in person then it did online. It's sooooo pretty! I always knew Best Buy was gonna be my go to for my laptop, it's just the place you go for electronics. No matter how bad the customer service or what not is. I placed an order online for pick up and in Auburn, CA. It took about a week for my laptop to come in. I was notified, went and waited at curbside. My laptop was presented to me and everything WORKS! Gael is an exceptional Best Buy Associate. I had many questions about the Airpods Pro Max and also the Starlink Mini Kit Antenna which he answered. The ones he didn't have a 100% accurate info on them he searched online for me. He was so patience, so professional, and so friendly, it exceeded all my expectations. Bought a tv here for Black Friday they were listing it on Amazon. I get call from them that I need to update my file and I call back 3 times and never get ahold of anyone and no one calls me back so I figure there's no issues. Online they say it'll be delivered by Dec 9th the latest and Dec 10th I try to call in to ask questions. No one picks up, no one calls, so I cancel the order on Amazon. Amazon says to contact the seller and I wait another week, nothing. So I call corporate and learn they're not delivering it because they sold it to someone else. I think this is a legal issue of theft in that I did not give this store permission to sell my property and once they took full payment for this item that item became legally mine. I think they pulled a dirty trick here in they probably got a customer who wanted the same tv and thought hey, I can sell it to this person and get a new tv in, the thing is they didn't and it's been about a month now I've just paid for this tv that's never showed up. If more angered I will be setting up a class action against Best Buy in the state of CA you can not conduct business in this manner. You under federal law have to honor contracts you make with the public and when I paid for this product you don't just get to sell it to someone else and keep double the money I'm still owed what I paid for and legally you have 30 days to honor that which makes this a legal issue as of Dec 21st. I did cancel the order, and will never be shopping at ANY Best Buy. This store, whoever is managing should be facing serious legal charges because I'm guessing they're just ignorant and do this to many people and will keep doing it to the public till someone puts them in check. If I sell a car to someone online and a friend buys it and takes it away, I can't just keep the money from the first person and say nothing hoping they'll forget they paid me. Not how business works... If I discover this is a common trend in management, there might be jail time over this and I won't feel bad for it at all. It's a $2500 fine and/or 6 month sentence for each offense and I bet I can find more people this Best Buy screws over. Whatever is happing with management at this Best Buy, there are federal and state laws you are still bound to and not exempt from. I don't give 5 star reviews lightly especially when it comes to electronics. I've had horrible experiences at Best Buy in Modesto, Riverside (before it closed) and Fresno. We came here for appliances and a TV this month and i would say this is the BEST customer service I've received in a very long time. Both associates were actually deeply knowledgeable! They had real insight on quality, reliability and performance which is SO rare these days when it comes to electronics. The installers for our fridge and big screen delivered and again, blown away! Fast, efficient and very careful about everything. This convinced us to come back for two more appliances today and we found another gem of an associate! Alex was fast, super knowledgeable and very personable. If corporate is paying attention, INVEST IN THIS STORE! Get these guys a Magnolia and double down on whatever is going right here. We went in looking to exchange air pods because my previous ones stopped connecting. We waited an hour getting serviced because the guy simply didn't know what he was doing. He went back and forth saying "oops", "why can't I do this?" and other remarkable comments. ( mind you he is on geek squad) hours later he didn't know what to do and told us he can't help us and that apple was closed on Sunday's. Apple does not close on Sunday's so he lied to us just because he didn't know how to do his job right. Terrible service only one person was helping the line go by and it was the rudest guy there. We bought an LG OLED G4 TV at Best Buy a month ago. We were told it was on backorder; however, they scheduled an install appointment a month out. Today was TV day. I received a text saying they would be here between 1:00 and 5:00. They did not show up. Attempting to get a real person on the phone is near impossible. Finally did a text chat with someone. They had zero info. I asked for a number to call to find out where our TV was. I was given a number for geek squad but lied to the robot to get through to a person, because there was no option for "why didn't you show up". I was told they had no info on where my TV was and asked if I wanted a new appointment 4 weeks from now!! That makes two months without the TV. What's to say they will show up next month? I cancelled the order. Found out that LG isn't even making the G4 any longer. The G5 is coming soon but no one knows when. UGH!! I will never deal with them again. Horrible customer service. You can never get a real person to ask a simple question. AND The sales person we bought the TV from knew nothing. We left and came back a few days later when someone else could "help" us. Waited a long time for someone to finally help us. This 2nd salesman told us we needed a wall mount for this G4, which we bought; and he tried to sell us a Best Buy warranty. He said LG didn't warranty the screen so we needed to buy a $200 Best Buy warranty. Found out that was BS so cancelled that. Horrible experience overall. Going to RCWilley tomorrow to buy a TV. I moved. The movers broke my big, expensive TV, so they purchased a replacement TV from Best Buy Auburn. Best Buy Auburn sold us a lemon. It has never worked. I tried to get it to work. But because I was dealing with a broken TV among 1,000 moving boxes, a move-in, and a 3-hour work commute, it took me more than a couple of weeks to determine that the tv was in fact, truly broken. It's a big, fat, expensive lemon. So I called their Geek Squad out to fix it. He came but he couldn't fix it. Wanna know why? Cuz it's a lemon! And Best Buy won't take it back or replace it because I'm like, 33 days out from the day it was delivered. So now I'm just SOL, with a big, clunky, expensive, broken lemon of a TV. Amazing, right? I waited over half an hour to get my screen protector put on. When I asked for an update the employee was rude and said they're working on it. I heard them talking about unrelated things while I was waiting and laughing. They handed it back to me scratched and with multiple air bubbles. When I asked them to fix it, they said it's to hard to get perfect and I should get a regular glass screen protector and even then they can't guarantee it doesn't have bubbles. This is after paying them $70. The new person put the glass one and it was fine but very frustrated with the whole experience. read more

So dissatisfied with this store. My elderly parents went in to order a part for their 3 1/2 year old printer. Salesperson looked at receipt they had with the manual and part number. He told them it's covered under warranty. Just bring in printer and we'll replace. They came right back with printer and salesman said warranty doesn't cover but we'll give you credit for recycle towards buying a new printer. They didn't need a new printer! This is a maintenance part. Best Buy really?? Trying to take advantage of elderly , along with the pain of having them bring in their printer. Totally disgusting. Initially I logged onto Yelp to write a review of the river, but since I could not remember the name of the river nor could I find a place to leave a review for it (there is an outside chance that I dreamt this river and it doesn't exist), I settled for Best Buy. Once I was told I could meet the woman of my dreams here, but as it would happen, I arrived half an hour before closing and there wasn't a female in sight. Alas, not to be discouraged, I opted to nonchalantly purchase something frivolous, hedonistically speaking. A candid, jolly salesman (I believe his name to have been Tariff, as in the acclaimed spokesman Tariff Whale of the short-lived 1964 United Vole Activists for Equality Movement) guided me towards an aisle. There, I found Perfect Practice Golf Laser Putting Glasses, and I considered my venture complete. Sidenote: My phone started ringing while in store, and it was a call from a former student of mine, asking desperately if I still had copies of her exams from 2018. I did not, so I told her "Make your night better and unwind to the sweet sounds of, oh, I don't know, Banarama?" She nodded and hung up. I purchased my item, grateful that the store's alleged "code of conduct" they brag so highly about did not restrict or otherwise say no-no to the very mere prospect of me ingesting a full solid 8-oz container of egg nogg in the headphone department. Other Best Buys are less tolerant, much to my disdainful dismay that leaves my mind in a state of disarray. I drove off on my moped, broadening my musical horizons to the even sweeter sounds of Latoya Jackson. I consider my acquisition of this very most moreover truest set of eyeware to be putting me just one step closer towards winning her over as my soulmate woman. Leaving 3 stars because I got AirPod pros, went to the parking lot, hooked it to my phone and this message popped up said what it says in the below photo. This means someone else already hooked it to their phone and it says they can have your location, I didn't feel secure with that. Steven wouldn't simply return the item. Steven wasn't helpful at all. He refuted that this occurred when I showed him the message on my phone as well as a news article stating this happens a lot with Air pod pros. The capper was that we spend in excess of 7k a year at Best Buy and pay for Total Tech Support, so it's not like we are trying to do anything weird. Made a purchase from Best Buy in Auburn CA for a computer my HP 35L gaming computer was told when I purchased this unit on the 17th that had 60 days to get a price match or return the item if not happy. I went to the store today because I found it was cheaper by 20% at HP direct the store looked up my receipt and then told me oh I was past the 14 day return policy or price match policy which was not explained to me they told me 60 days then which I was told they could sell me some sort of a program that would allow me to have a 60 day return policy but not would apply to prior sales this was explained to me after I told him about my sales experience when I purchased the unit nobody at that time explained anything more than a 60 day policy they even told me that the item was gonna go on sale on the 4th of July and probably be reduced by $200 Best Buy has done nothing but lie on this whole issue I even called their corporate office after talking to the store manager but the corporate office gave me another whole set of different opinions they cannot be on the same page I would not recommend this company to anybody I would look elsewhere for your electronic items this is the last straw dealing with them read more

Since living in Auburn I have had several different occasions to visit our local Best Buy. Before posting this review I read some of the posts from other customers and found many to be dissatisfied with customer service and overall dealings with BB. I didn't have a bad experience but instead was very pleased when I recently went in with both my new and old cell phone to have all information put on the new phone exactly as it was on the old one. I was fortunate enough to get Benjamin at the Geek Squad counter. I found him very knowledgeable and willing to do just as I had requested. It took about forty minutes for the 'cross over' to complete and once completed, Benjamin went over everything with me and even suggested some new neat little tricks that were on the new phone. When it was all said and done, he shook my hand and said if he could help me in the future he would be more than happy to assist me. That's good customer service! read more

Some of the worst customer service I've seen in some time. My Laptop had the infamous "bitlocker code" pop up and shut everything down. I purchased the equipment less than 45 days and they're wanting me to pay for a year subscription to their geek squad before helping, even thou their online support had waved the fees due to being such a recent purchase. I knew I was in the wrong place when they asked me how to turn it on. They wouldn't accept a return because they said it wasn't working. You could tell the Geek behind the counter just wanted to push the upgraded service before he would perform the simple procedures I was stumbling over. I called again at 830 and was tolded they tried to call me, that is a total LIE! I had my phone on the whole time AND I don't show any missed calls. Usually a "go-to" the service I received from Larry in car stereo today was bad in the most lackluster and passive aggressive way.

The young man in the computer section needs some education on how to acknowledge customers when talking with someone else. You can say, "I will be with you shortly," or "Do you have a quick question." In stead he spend 30 minutes talking to a man that kept saying, "I'm only getting info for now." This kid showed him all the "all in ones," laptops etc, and never once was I acknowledged. After being patient for 30 minutes I left and bought my laptop from Staples down the road. This employee was so interested in trying to show the man how much he knew about computers, but had no Social Skills! Wake up Best Buy! read more

My son purchased a 65-inch TV for me from this store. We live 10 minutes away. We set it up, and when we turned it on, there was a big crack on the screen. He boxed it back up and took it back to the store less than 2 hours from when he purchased it, and the store manager would not return or exchange the 700.00 TV. Reasoning, he states we broke it when loading the tv into the car. He said he watched a video of us loading the tv, and we did not load it straight up and down, and that caused the crack. Furious that he's blaming the customer and making us feel like a criminal by watching videos. We could have gone to azon or walmart to purchase the tv but I wanted to support the local stores. Huge mistake! I also contacted customer service who assured me that any other store would return it as this is not best buy quality service. Gave me a customer ID number told me to go to the roseville best buy and assured there will be no issues and give them the ID number with my receipt. So did that the next day. Still no return. So im.stuck.with a 700 tv that does not work and best buy basically ripped me off. Walmart or Amazon would exchange or return the product with absolutely no Hassel. The manager at the Auburn best buy is the worst manager I've ever dealt with. Horrible service. Find out later they offer delivery for free, but manager never offered to deliver my tv even when watching is struggle getting in the SUV.
