This review is to inform the public of a change in policy at Lowe's and to praise a store manager who will take the time to understand his customers' needs. I purchased with cash an off-brand kitchen faucet (first mistake) at Lowe's a few days ago and I could not find my receipt. The old kitchen faucet is 1/2 pipe vs the 3/8 compression fittings of the new faucets. "Be forewarned". After sending my wife back to Lowe's to purchase an inline straight shut off valve adaptor (which does not exist) She came home with 1/2 dozen connectors from salespeople who did not know what they were talking about. I had to crawl out from under the sink and go to Lowe's myself. So, I packed up the new off-brand new kitchen faucet and went to Lowe's. This is when I found out that in-store credit was no longer available. What? This makes no sense, it's obviously a Lowe's product but there are no shut off valves to adapt to this issue. I asked to speak to the store manager. Eric, the store manager, was awesome. He quickly resolved my issues with professionalism, empathy, and knowledge. I still don't agree with Lowe's new policy of not offering in-store credit for a Lowe's product because of a lost receipt, Lowe's has the product, and the credit is only good at Lowe's. The next day when I went to pick it up from the store there was brand new damage to the HDMI port that was not there when I dropped it off (broken metal casing and a broken pin). I am no longer able to even insert an HDMI cable all the way because of the broken pin and the console no longer connects to my TV (or any TV in the house) at all. Just know if you refuse a wildly priced service from them they will intentionally damage your device.
