I love this store. The prices are great, lots of merchandise, and great quality. I wish there were another store close to Seneca, SC.

The most important thing to remember is that you don't always get the same deal and you always want to be prepared for the amount of amazing deals that you will find. The range of deals is endless and the selection of different colors, and prices can vary. But they often have fairly amount of service works from restocking the shelves, to even help you with finding a specific product or just simply helping with loading up your items. read more

It has a good selection of new, used and older books. They have a nice children and youth section as well. I found a J.D. Robb book that I had been looking for and just bought online that was more expensive than what was offered here. After talking to the nice gentleman (sorry I can't remember your name), he told me that they have a website that I can order online and pick it up at the store. Score!! I will definitely be back! I highly recommend this gem.

Amy, the owner, is friendly and her enthusiasm is contagious. The staff was very friendly and, along with Amy, shared about the history of the building and the activities held at the bookshop. In one area of the bookshop there is local history research and archives available to the public. There is also an area for local authors. There are both used and new books, reasonably priced. Recently the bookshop had a Scottish chef/author from Pendleton's sister city in Scotland visit. The bookshop hosted a signing for his fourth cookbook. Patrons can sign up for a newsletter for the bookshop and/or additional information about the art area located upstairs in The Rafter Room (local artists-mostly a cool selection of pottery pieces along with paintings and other items). There is a back door that could be used as a wheelchair entrance. Don't think the second floor is accessible. This is a lovely addition to our historic Pendleton square...a combination of a local historic building and a unique bookshop.

In order to buy the book at the sale price, I was told to go online, order the book and select "pick up in store". Otherwise, I would have to pay the full price, $8 more. Crazy policies that place customer convenience at the bottom of considerations, lose customers. A classic example!
