Have you ever wondered what happens to the merchandise Dollar General or Big Lots does not want?…read more Have you ever wondered where you can get a tazer for cheap? A Dale Earnhardt lamp? A six pack of lighters? A random assortment of completely unnecessary leather goods? If so, boy do I have a place for you! Pop's Auction is local color extraordinaire. It is located off of Southport Road next to the Bingo hall. Open Thursday through Friday nights. This is redneck livin' at its finest and it is an actual auction. It's not cars or livestock or Sotherby's; what it is is a bunch of random shit that comes from God only knows where and now it is all here to buy. We walked away with Scarface air fresheners, key chains, packs of M&Ms, safety goggles, and more. We ate corn dogs and split a can of Coke. We shook our heads at all this..... stuff. They accept cash and checks. We also like the fact that there is a donation box for the Shriner's hospital for kids' toys and goods. Several items that went up for auction were actually put in the box. If you want a show, folks, this is cheaper than the movies. Even if you have that uneasy feeling and hear dueling banjos- it will subside as someone shines a 10,000 candle light power flashlight in your eye and tells you to buy some purdy nice stuff!

As a seller at Jeff Martin Auctioneers, I was very disappointed at the communication efforts of the…read morecompany. Not only was I misinformed by the employee who checked in my item (she said the listing fee was 10% of the ultimate sale price, but they actually took over 77% due to the minimum $50 per lot), but when I tried to look up my items on auction day it did not appear. Furthermore, on the day of the auction I never saw the items on Proxibid, which I believed would be utilized in the sale of these items to greatly extend the visibility of their listing. Frankly, to this day I have no evidence that the items were even auctioned off at all, rather than sold behind the scenes for pennies on the dollar. I called and called on auction day and never reached any representative to find out why my items didn't appear anywhere. I used the online chat function, too-- no luck. Then, a week later, when I finally reached somebody (having made repeated phone calls in subsequent days), she could barely communicate at all-- not even as to the most basic info concerning the final sales price, much less to explain why my items didn't show up via the search field on the day of the auction. To be clear, I'm not complaining about what my two items sold for (a pittance). I am complaining about both an apparent lack of visibility for my items, which is everything in an auction, and about the very poor to nonexistent communication I experienced.

I had a terrible experience with Jeff Martin Auctioneers Glencoe MN. They misrepresented a truck,…read moreto me it was blatant misrepresenation, they took pictures of the dash of the truck and there were no engine lights on or anything in the picture. That was not the case. They omitted saying that the control panel of the truck was missing and then told me that well the individual that did that inspection doesn't work there anymore. The first time I called about this they gave me a different story about how some of the people inspecting were more thorough than others. I just wish they were honest instead of getting three different stories, depending on who you talk to. The biggest problem I had was the trucks transmission was shot, and they basically blamed me for that and said that was my issue. I explained that most online auctions sites take some responsibility if they misrepresent an item, not at Glencoe. They will blame you and not take any responsibility for it. I would not trust one description of any item they sell that is used, nor would I trust any pictures because they are able to mislead you. I have had 2 to 3 other auctions sites take back their items when it was brought to their attention that a product was misrepresented. This company told me they called the seller and said they didn't have any issues with the transmission. First time this person sold through them, I call BS, it wasn't my first time buying from Jeff Martin, but it will definitely be the last. I am going to try and do my best to warn anyone else that may consider purchasing an item from Jeff Martin, because you may have had a good experience with other online auction companies, I hope your experience is better than mine, because this is so upsetting. Please share your similar experiences so others do not end up like us.

Not of questionable authenticity (at least in my experience). Brunk is one of my favorite less known auction houses (which I often favor over many more well known auction houses). Recently, I was captivated be an antique portrait miniature and requested additional close up photos, as well as Condition Report observations. I would like to thank "Kayla" at Brunk who provided everything I wanted in a timely and friendly manner. For all of my subsequent inquiries throughout the auction and shipping processes, I would like to give "Leah" my highest compliments for customer service. She is a gem. I was the winning bidder on the portrait miniature, which was delivered today in perfect condition. Absolutely beautiful !!! This is my 2nd transaction with Brunk Auctions, and in my opinion they are - without reservation - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Greg the coin guy at brunks told me he'd auction my silver coins but not my key date indian head or liberty v nickels. Guessing a 20% profit on sale wasn't enough for Greg. Another show of Lazy in American society. Just saying
