I purchased a computer monitor (employee was not educated in helping me with selection). Purchased the monitor, was never told that its refresh rate was probly not adequat for what I would be doing. Had to return monitor. The customer service for returnes was not nice, helpful or curtisy at all. This women should not be dealing with the public. Would not even listen to what I was looking for or wanting to order. I told her that I put everything in the box the way it was when I received it and she said "I don't care, it goes to the geek squad and they will repackage it". RUDE! I purchased a refrigerator from them. Everything started out good until the sales person I'm assuming put the wrong zip code for my deliver. Once I noticed it I called to have it corrected. They told me I would have to reschedule my delivery! OVER A ZIP CODE CHANGE!!!!Mind you it was their mistake and they wanted me to want even more days to get the delivery! I called customer service and was ASSURED my delivery would be delivered as schedule. I was supposed to get an email the day before with a narrowed time. No text or email. I got an email confirming my deliver. The day of my delivery I didn't get an email or text with a time. I called AGAIN I was told my order didn't get on the delivery truck and they would have deliver it on the upcoming Tuesday! Mind you I didn't get a email or text about this change! I've visited this Best Buy a few times now and the staff has been very helpful. I bought routers on both occasions and they helped to ensure I picked the right one. I'm amazed at how much Best Buy has changed with the times. But that is the reason they have survived - they've changed - a lot! 5 stars for Mitch and Chase. I was at this location to get a laptop to play a memorial video for my mothers' memorial service next weekend. I had decided on the one I wanted but they were out at this location. Mitch checked nearby locations and found one for me. He called and made sure they kept it (as there was only one) until we finished the purchasing process and said if I had any problems to call anytime as he would be there that evening and the next day. I picked it up successfully and on my way home received a call from Mitch checking to make sure I had gotten it with no problems. That is what I call excellent customer service! We recently moved to a new home and my husband of course wanted a new tv so we stopped in to browse. We were greeted by Jake who walked us through a bunch of tv options and asked us some really great questions. What I admired about his service is he informed us of options after LISTENING to our needs - honestly that's key. He told us after learning about what our needs were that we should use their Free In-Home Consultation. We were sold - free and someone to come to our home to learn how we need our home setup to work for us. A few days later Mario arrived for the in-home consultation. He again LISTENED to our needs - from tv, mounting, wireless home options, security system...everything. He walked around the house and gave us his options and put everything together. He was detail-oriented but also explained everything easily so we understood it. He was able to outline the work we wanted, schedule the in-home install and make sure every line items on our work order was understood. Today, Nathan came to do our install - arrived by 9am until after 2pm. Our entire house is set up - wirelessly, with tv's where they need to be and our security system is active. He explained everything was extremely pleasant and clean. I often wonder how places such as Best Buy make it this day when you can easily go online to buy items and price match. Well, this in-home service is CLEARLY where they excel. The price was very reasonable to us for ALL that we wanted. And they made the entire transaction from discovery and understanding of our needs to the explanation of what would be most ideal for how we live/operate to even the install of asking us the right questions to make thing how WE wanted them. I have already referred their services to multiple people based on that very first encounter with Jake. Kudos to BB and this location for doing things right. read more

Mixed experience. The in- store help has been good and friendly, but there is little to no communication between the sales staff and the support staff. Phone calls about deliveries and appointments go to outside call centers and no one seems to know what we are talking about. Deliveries never have happened when originally scheduled. Totaltech support is available only until 4pm, but I'm not home from work to be here to meet without taking time off! The store is great, decent prices and friendly help, but after the purchase it sucks. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY We bought an oven and a gas range on 06/07 that was scheduled for delivery on 06/22. They showed up with both items, and installed the gas range. When they tried to open the oven, the glass door was shattered, so the installer could not leave the product or install it. He tried several times to reach his support contact at Best Buy and was hung up on and told us to call ourselves. There is NO SUCH THING as customer service at Best Buy. You get transferred back and forth, there is no accountability. The reps are rude and will not give you a rep # or anything to call and complain about the way they treat you. They hang up on you when they don't feel like helping. After 2 weeks of calling every number I have been given, with no response when they tell me they'll call me back, an appointment showed up in my account for 07/06 between 7am-1pm. By 2pm with no call, no show, my wife and I started calling all of the numbers we had previously been given, and were either told that there was no record of a delivery, or that they would "escalate the ticket", or just hung up on. Not 1, but 2 reps actually told my wife that they were going to charge her $100 or she had to purchase a gift card for them to help her. Best Buy has $2000 of our money that they have stolen, and we have no product. BEST BUY IS A SCAM, and apparently their business sucks so bad, they have to steal from people to make money. read more

Surprised I was by the friendly and knowledgable staff that go out of their way to help the customer find what they need. I went into the store looking for an HDMI cable and found myself in the camera section curious about what camera etc. I might need to help me take the camera shots I'd like to take one day. Not only did the salesperson's breadth of camera knowledge blow me away but he went above and beyond by demonstrating the functions and and abilities of several cameras and lenses. Great helpful staff made my shopping experience better than expected. It was the busy holiday season and yet I had no problem getting the help I needed to answer my questions about the product I was shopping for even though I wasn't there for a big ticket item like a t.v. or computer. I was buying wireless speaker and the guy who helped me streamed some music off his phone so I could get a better idea on the sound, rather than the pre-programmed store demo which was more interested in the booming base. I love my new wireless speaker with it's rich sound, I almost settled for something sub par until he played a better demo for me. read more

I've been coming to this Best Buy for years. I somewhat agree with previous reviews about this store. I'm a computer engineer so I know my stuff. However most of the employees here are not very technical. I've never used the Geek Squad, but I have had to fix PCs that people first took to Geek Squad. After they admit to spending several hundreds of dollars on "geeks" their issues were either not resolved or even worse. That aside I will admit that employees do approach me and ask if there is anything they can help me find. I have received great service when it comes to finding a product that states it is in stock. I even had one employee take the time to go back into receiving and dig a CD out of the box. I consider that going above and beyond. Their price matching policy is pretty good. They even sometimes match online competitors especially around Christmas time. I do think their recent return policy change to 15 days is rather short. However if you are a rewards silver member you still get 60 days. read more

I stated twice that I had windows ten and asked the associate to verify the card would be compatible. I had much work to get done in my office that day. The ABSOLUTE WORST Best Buy I have ever been to. No customer service and no knowledge of the products they are selling. Do not go.

Let me begin by stating that I work with a courrier service on a daily basis for my current job. I address and resolve the bulk of issues we have with said service, and I do the best I can by keeping in communication with my affected customers. With that being said, I cannot express how frustrated and angry I am in regards to my refrigerator installation last night and the aggravation in trying to reach a competent person at your help desk. First, the people Best Buy contracted and sent out to install my refrigerator did NOT show up with proper equipment to do so (ie straps to carry the refrigerator in and tools to actually install the refrigerator) and proceeded to openly admit that they did not come prepared with what Best Buy requires them to have for installation. They tried to have me sign a waiver to use a dolly and wheel the refrigerator across my brand new floors (because we have a brand new house) and I refused. At this point, these contractors stated that they "weren't even going to show up for this appointment, but since they called me earlier in the day, they decided to show up." It was at this point that I began to TRY (note try) to get in contact with someone at the geek squad to address this situation. The first two times I called, I was promptly disconnected without even being able to speak to someone. I called a third time, got transferred 3 times, and finally spoke to someone who was allegedly putting me on hold to call the Cleveland dispatch office from where these contractors were out of, and was disconnected again. She did not call me back, so I had to call AGAIN, and go through my whole story. The lady that I spoke with this time stated she was putting notes into my account and placed me on hold. I WAS TRANSFERRED AGAIN to yet another representative who verified there were absolutely zero notes in my account. He spoke with me and at the conclusion of our conversation, decided that a $150 gift card to Best Buy was good enough for all my aggravation revolving around this situation. In the meantime, my husband thankfully arrived at our house and HAD TO HELP BRING IN AND INSTALL the refrigerator WE PAID BEST BUY to do for us AND to add insult to injury, these contractors had to borrow tools from my husband to complete the install. I cannot even comprehend how terrible this whole experience has been. In the past several months, we have bought this refrigerator, a dishwasher (in which that installation is a while other awful story-another terrible contracted team by Best Buy), a large TV, and a microwave from Best Buy, have spent over $5000 for all these items, and this is the treatment we have received. As far as I am concerned, I am DONE with Best Buy, closing my credit card, and will never buy another item from you again. This is a prime example from beginning to end as to how to NEVER HANDLE CUSTOMERS if you want to retain their business. read more

Jake was Awesome! He helped me get my Ipad mini (that had been a gift ) up and running with my Hotmail account and showed me how to use the camera feature and Safari. As you can tell I am totally technology challenged. That day I purchased an Ipad mini keyboard to use with the Mini IPad and he went over the features of how to use it with the Ipad. Best of all, the twenty minute consult about what I had and how to use it was FREE! What is still FREE in this world?? i recently purchased a samsung washer at this best buy. it was delivered on10-08-2016. after this i found that is was on samsungs recall list. i called samsung and they gave me date that some one would come and repair it. the date was 11-14-2016. istayed at home all day witing for them and they didn't come. i called back an they apologized. i thought at that time i would try the rebate. i then found that would have to purchase another washer and then send in the receipt for the rebate. i am a 82 year old and on fixed income thus can not h ave money tied up on two washers. i then called best buy and was told that couldn't do anything to help me . i then called samsung. they then gave me another appointment for 11-25-2016. i waited all day for them come repair the washer. they didn't come. i would never buy another samsung anything. i also feel that best buy should have been able to help me.the way i feel is: apox on all of their houses. read more
