Here is a copy of the text I had to send to family & friends: Our landline is now disconnected. The number that begins with a 'V' that had our number as a callback number (spoofed) cannot be remedied by Spectrum. I told them fix it or disconnect it. They could not fix it. The only calls we get are sales calls. $20 a month for sales calls. The 'V' number called no fewer than 5 times so far today. The other day it was a Robocall stating that they were Microsoft and my network had been comprimised. Can you please do something before I am forced to drop the mobile number as well. It was nice to have an emergency means to contact or be contacted. Back to the stone age as it will be ruined by a few. The 'DoNotCall Registry is a joke. I have placed our numbers on it repeatedly.

I have been with the same Internet/TV/Cable providers since cable was invented. The name has…read morechanged several times due to constant buyouts but I never left. I have always remained loyal, always paid my bill on time, was the "Classic Sucker". For what reason I have no idea, I have remained loyal to a fault while they abused me at every turn. I had my cable, Internet, and telephone with them thinking they would show me some appreciation... No! That just gave them more options to arbitrarily raise my bill anytime they felt like it. And they certainly did do that. It seemed like every time I opened my bill there was some nonsensical increase without warning. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced any other carrier would be any different. So I feel stuck. Called customer service to no avail. They give you a bunch of double talk and no help at all. I have now cancelled my cable TV to get my bill under control. So, what did I find when I opened my May bill... a combined increase of 25% for the Internet and phone. Just can't win...

I am a small business owner and do not normally take the time to post negative reviews but I felt…read morecompelled to post this so that other small businesses do not have the same experience as I did with First Communications. After being a loyal customer for 4 years, our IT consultant recommended that we switch to another provider mainly because of the internet speed we needed to operate. We did so for both of our office locations. Our IT consultant, our telephone consultant, our new provider and First Communications consulted and went through the process of making the switch. Two months later, I received a disconnection notice bill from First Communications. When I called about this, I was told that their records showed that we were no longer a First Communication customer but because their service is billed in arrears, I still owed for one month of service. They also apologized that I did not get a bill for this and stated that they would send me one. I paid the bill and thought I was finished. About 2 months later, I received another disconnect notice. Again, I called. This time I was told that to disconnect, I have to write a letter 60 days in advance. When I asked why I was not told this when I called in January, they apologized but said that it is in their contract. I asked to speak to a manager who advised me that although he could not help me, he would bring this matter to the attention of his boss. Her response - send me an email with a bunch of highlighted language showing the contract terms and insisting that I make pay for 4 months of service that I never used. Although, we had a lengthy email exchange, she never addressed the fact that her employee told me that their records showed the account was closed and that all I had to do was pay for 1 month of service. It is my opinion that this is a deliberate tactic to collect additional fees from customers who switch providers. Prior to this time, I received my bills regularly. After I terminated, all I received were 2 disconnect notices, which allowed fees to accumulate. Prior to this time, I felt that I could rely on what the customer service agent tells me. Moral of this story - do not use this company and, if you do, make sure you talk to a manager any time you call and get whatever they tell you in writing!

The monthly charges at this time is $135.00. I was on auto pay, noticed the pmt was higher, but contributed it to introductory pricing expiring. The email noticed I received were notifications of payment processing, and no invoice included..after talking to 6 people and 4 hrs on the phone I was told disputes were to be intimidated within 60 days as stated on my statements and nothing will be done. Please excuse me for trusting a company! At least 3 people told me my tv service is cancelled as of yesterday. When I called to cancel service. I was told the tv is still on my account! Prior to thie next call I received an email my invoice is $150 for internet services. I called to verify and was told I owed about $280 + a I have to pay for tv services I for TV service I have NEVER HAD, AUTHORIZED OR USED! I did talk to fraud dept.and was told no fraud, even tho I did not subscribe to tv. He did tell me I was sent emails re: tv and I checked previous emails about streaming tv, which I looked like solicitation to me. I checked my email account after we were "suddenly" disconnected. I am exploring my options with legal agencies. I'm sure I won't receive and refunds but maybe this won't happen to the next customer. PLEASE BEWARE of these thieves!!
