Roger and team found the right solution to upgrade my theater surround sound system with sonance in wall speakers. Ordered them on a Monday afternoon and the install team got it all done on Wednesday. I thought I might have been able to do this myself. After watching the three pros mount the TV on the wall after installing two gang boxes and clean up all the wires, I was blown away. The final step was optimization of the sound and pumping up the rear surrounds which were always a bit light based on the factory settings. They also made the most of my cable universal remote and renamed the HDMI inputs so it is much more user friendly. When I arrived I was created by employees in reception area. The staff member who checked me in was polite and professional. He explained charges before any work was started. During installation of item purchased I was asked if placement would interfere with my site of vision. Installer was also very professional and polite. The installation of my new radio was awful ( 2004 MB SL). I wasn't informed the wood trimming around the radio was going to be cut, then they cut the wood to far, leaving a gap, then broke the clips (and didn't inform me) that would keep it flush with the radio. They said they informed me about cutting the wood (of course) and that the wood bowed and the clips broke because of the age of the car. They take no responsibility for faulty installation. I wouldn't return there for anything and recommend any reviewer of this comment avoid this place at all costs. read more

Purchased a $3k audio system with install. I specifically asked that it be installed so that it could be de-installed quickly so I can reinstall factory speakers and get factory audio back. When I needed to de-install, I found that the factory speakers were snipped at the connectors. When I brought this in and asked what happened, staff seemed annoyed with me and repeatedly told me its $150 an hour for them to do anything. Chris did make a quick harness for me to use, free of charge. When I used the harness and got my speakers back in, factory audio was back! Then I removed the amp and obviously no audio after that. Called the shop and they said they were too busy with installs to help me. The audio system sounded great and the install looked awesome and was clean and professional. Although they did have my car for 2 days more than they said they would. When they make a mistake, its like pulling teeth to get them to fix it. Customer Service means a lot. Especially when you're spending thousands of dollars with a company. I planned on taking my new car back to Summit Sound to get another audio system installed, but after this experience, I'll probably go elsewhere. read more

I recently went to SS&S and had my amp and dual subs installed and man was I more than satisfied with the quality of professionalism from the time I picked up the phone and got a quote to the time I drove off with my vehicle! My stereo sounds great and when I popped the hood to see how the wires were ran from the battery, you can't even tell there were any alterations to the vehicle. And I got cut a deal on the price. I can't wait to go back and get my windows tinted next month! Summit Sound and Security is legit, they don't have those awards for nothing ya'll! Terrible experience all around. Summit Sound is unreliable and non-responsive to technical issues. They are not knowledgeable about home audio or video and will attempt sell you items you don't need. Their technical support is non-existent. After they install anything, you are on your own. Good luck getting anyone to return a call. If / when their inexperienced techs make a mistake, they will want to charge you a second time to attempt to fix the issues they initially created. read more

We had remote start added to our van and had a new radio/entertainment unit installed. Remote start works great and we haven't had any issues. The radio unit is a whole different story. First, we paid extra to have the radio controls on our steering wheel function with the new unit. The controls that do work, do so intermittently. The rest just don't work with aftermarket units (which we were told AFTER we paid the additional fee to have them function.) I'm still not sure why they even offer the option since they can only partially do the job. As for our radion unti itself, it's stopped functioning twice now and while they did replace it with another one the first time, we were told the 2nd time that that was what kind of quality you get for $300. Apperently, to them, the $300 radio they sell isn't required to actually function. read more

Quality work from caring experts! I am SO so happy with the job these guys did tinting my car windows! It's FLAWLESS. The pricing is firmly within what I expected to pay, and worth every single penny. I had never been to SS&S before, but as soon as I walked in, I was happily greeted by the people who work there and asked what had brought me in (window tinting). After asking me qualifying questions to gauge my needs (i.e. durability of the tint against an 8-year-old...) I was offered several products and was told their pros and cons. I NEVER felt pressured or like I was being pushed towards the "high-end" product. When the job was done, I was patiently given detailed instructions on how to care for my new tint in these first few days. They even put neon green tape with "do not roll down" written on it covering my window buttons so I wouldn't ruin the tint by rolling them down! These guys are ALL well-educated on the products they sell, be it tints, lighting, sound, etc., and they all seem to love working there. It's a laid-back atmosphere and run by people who truly seem to REALLY want their clients to be happy! (We are taking another car there tomorrow for window tinting!) I had them replace my stereo with one I did not buy from them and they took advantage of me because I was a woman alone, and because it was not their product they kept telling me how bad it was..... And I think that was the owner! I would not give them another cent if they were the last place on earth. So much for helping smaller business's....... I was on my way to Summit Sound and Security to have a remote starter installed in my car and I stopped to put air in my tires. While I was filling the last tire it appears the stem broke and the tire went flat. I had called Summit Sound to tell them I would be late and they were nice enough to have Jake come to where I was and change my tire for me, thanks Jake! Once I got there they told me they were going to give me a discount on my remote starter as well. Just want to say thank you so much for your great customer service, these guys are awesome! Pricey. They used a bass knob that didnt fit my amp. Charged extra to fix it. Try to tack on fees for parts to get your system in proper working order on top of already high prices. They also ran my RCA and remote on the same side as power which causes signal interruption. Didn't bother having them fix it knowing they would have charged an arm and a leg. My headunit doesnt get any signal either, not sure what they forgot to hook up there.... Stay away. read more
