I really enjoyed talking with him as did my mother-in-law. And then I never heard anything back from him. I figured he was busy so I gave him a couple weeks. A couple weeks turned into over a month because life happens and I recently sent him an email asking him if he was still interested or what happened or if he had anything for me from our meeting I don't know what happened but communication went to nothing and I feel like I was ghosted after our first meeting, which sucks because I was really excited with all the ideas that he had given me for a remodel of my kitchen that is not incredibly user-friendly at the moment.

I received a response from Tim who came to the site, inspected the project and even agreed to proceed/provided a verbal estimate. Despite this, he then stopped answering my messages and calls. Absolutely could not recommend this company more highly! Thomas & his team go the extra mile, talk…read morethrough options to come up with the most economical yet high-quality work, and do exactly what they say they're going to do in a timely manner. We have worked with them three times over the past 20 years or so. Been thrilled every time, recommend them to anyone we meet looking to install or refinish hardwoods. As I was traveling, they even moved all the furniture from both rooms & the kitchen into the garage, & ripped out the old carpet and sub floor, and did all of this extra work for no extra charge. When we came back in to the home when they were finished, there was not even the tiniest issues to discuss. It was perfect. In this day and age of being unsure which contractors you can trust, here's one!

Fabulous Floors completely FAILED us…read more Very POOR workmanship. There are many gaps between the floors and doors/door frames. There are gaps between the base shoe and frames. The base shoe they used is far too wide to match the existing molding. The completed work looks as though a novice did the job. See the attached photos. When I confronted the owner, he replied, "there's nothing I could do about that. I specialize in flooring not door molding or frames. I can't help how that looks." Seriously? Much of this could have been prevented if they laid down a layer of plywood under the hardwood floors. I ended up having to spend waaay more money to hire another contractor to fix all the issues they caused. Furthermore, I specifically requested water based coating for our hardwood floors throughout our entire house to reduce exposure to VOCs. The owner agreed he would apply water based coating and even said he would go out and buy the water based coating the day we discussed the plans. His workers applied oil based coating. After I confronted him with this huge error, he argued that oil based coating is better anyway and that I didn't know what I was talking about. He would not initially acknowledged the mistake, and after repeatedly telling him he was at fault, he confessed that he forgot to tell his workers to apply water based coating instead of oil based coating. Very unprofessional.

They communicated well from start to finish, everything happened on schedule, and there were no surprises, all of which were priorities for us in pursuing this work on a fixed budget. We will definitely seek TGR out for our future project needs when they arise. Many thanks for the great work!

They were super fast (amazing), they were available sooner than anyone else, they are very reasonably priced, and very professional and respectful of our house. I will definitely hire them again soon to do our kitchen counter & backsplash. Leo also helped us find a great guy to repair a couple of adjacent boards on our wood floor. They adapted very quickly at the last minute to repair and support our under flooring joists before they began. The floor looks absolutely amazing--pattern, finish, cuts, grout--everything. There were a couple of scheduling changes last minute, but they were great about communication & once they started, they finished in half the time I expected anyway! Really very pleased!

I'm a remodeling contractor myself, so I don't give this kind of praise lightly -- but Matt Ziebart…read moreof Ziebart Construction in Lake Oswego, OR has earned it. Over the years, I've gotten to know Matt and have seen firsthand how he operates his company. His reputation for honesty, integrity, and craftsmanship is well deserved. He builds strong relationships with his trade partners, treats his employees with genuine respect, and holds everyone to a high professional standard. In an industry where cutting corners is all too common, Matt does the opposite -- he sets the bar. His jobs are well-managed, communication is clear, and the end results speak for themselves. If you're in the Portland or Lake Oswego area and want a remodeling contractor who combines skill, transparency, and great leadership, I'd highly recommend Ziebart Construction.

I have built two significant houses and remodeled many houses and this is the worst company I have ever dealt with on every level they should not be in business. The service is terrible.
