Every time they've taken a nose or throat swab, it felt too swallow/light compared to others I've experienced. But I thought they, they're trained in this... Until now. I certifiably HAVE COVID (all symptoms present, home test was a very strong positive), and went to get a PCR to have it on medical record. Even though I tested on just the second day of infection, their test came up negative. I don't know how that is possible, and now I have to schedule yet another test somewhere else just to prove for future doctors that I have had COVID. Which again, I unquestionably do. This makes me nervous that they are passing other people as negative who are in fact positive. It's also true that sometimes they don't email you results like they should and you have to call. This can be annoying but is minor compared to the above.

And no one at any number I have called for Pacific Toxicology is willing or able to provide this information. At this point I am beginning to wonder if they are perhaps just trying to scam patients, who have received hospital treatment, by just making up a bill and sending to patients hoping they will pay without verifying the testing actually took place

Northridge, CA…read more Booking an appointment is easy, and finding this place is just as simple. There's plenty of paid parking, and it doesn't cost much. The office is inside a high‑rise building, and once you arrive at the lobby, checking yourself in at the kiosk is the best option ~ fast and straightforward. There were already people waiting, but the process was organized, and they called my name quickly. I hadn't even warmed my seat, yet when they called me in. The phlebotomist, Patricia, welcomed me with a smile and a great attitude that immediately put me at ease. She drew two vials of blood smoothly and professionally, and I was done in minutes ~ fast and easy from start to finish . Results took a few days to appear online, which is expected. It was a smooth visit, friendly staff, and efficient service. Booking an appointment is definitely recommended.

Dr. Eshaghian has one of the best bedside manners I've encountered from people in the medical…read moreprofession. Plus, he is quite knowledgeable about gastroenterology. Win, win. He recently did my colonoscopy, which was my third. By far the easiest process to date, save one issue I describe below. The prep was so easy this time; Dr. Eshaghian gave me the option to do a pill based cleanse 12 hours before my procedure, and it was a game changer. And according to the doctor, the results were perfect, which was not always the case with the old "drink three gallons of this horrible tasting stuff and spend the next 36 hours on the toilet" approach. The procedure only took 20 minutes and he was bedside to give me his impressions the moment I woke up. The anesthesiologist he works with is terrific, as well. All in all, a great experience save the issue below. So I highly recommend him. There is one thing to note, however. He has contracted with Valley Endoscopy Center as the place where he does his procedures. They are quite awful. Scheduling was a cluster of confusion between the Center and the doctor's office; I got different messages each time I spoke to each and it created a bit of an issue with arranging for the timing of my before- and after-care. Plus, when I arrived for the procedure (once the time was finally solidified), there were a bunch of people sitting on the floor in the hallway because the waiting room did not have enough chairs for the number of people having procedures done. And then I went in an hour behind schedule because the Center was short-staffed with nurses (which I understand is a universal problem, so I can give a pass on this one). But the doctor is a win as mentioned above, so I was willing to put up with these issues. I do hope he upgrades the Center he uses, though.

The waiting room was not packed, so I thought the process would be smoother. My appt. with Quest was for the following day, but I had a business meeting schedule put on my calendar at the time of my appt., so I chose to walk in first thing in the morning. Once I was called, Kelly was wonderful. She was very professional, kind, friendly, thorough and swift. The atmoshere is clean, although odd that it is all automated, nobody to greet you or say good morning. I do miss people interaction vs a machine at check in.

There are still no results. I have never waited this long for lab work. I will stick to USC or UCLA the next time I have orders. I gave Quest a chance and the other issue is that you can only communicate via email. I find that ridiculous given that the call is concerning the results of a medical test. The response took a couple days before I received it, and it specifically asked that I do not reach out to them again over my results. Definitely not the communication I was expecting.
