I received good service. I know bad customer service is everyones main complain for this location…read morebut me personally I was taken care of properly. Made an appointment for 12pm I arrived at 1148. Checked in on their kiosk which was super easy, I just scanned my barcode that was sent to me by email. A male called my name asked for confirmation number and then I waited to be called. I was in by 12:02 pm about 2 mins after my scheduled appointment. I'd say that's amazing in my book. Staff was nice, explained the process of what I needed to do and took care of business. I was in and out by 1215 ish the latest. I had planned to be there for an hour and so I cleared my schedule from 12 to 1. Now I had all this time to kill and decided to just run more errands. So I went to the DMV. I was impressed. Good job, LabCorp.

From getting my appointment details online and coming here, I was already confused trying to find…read morethe right suite for Labcorp. For some reason, there's no suite number listed other than the plaza medical building. It took a lot of digging to finally find that only one link texted to me showed the suite number. I think it was 304? I forgot, but the directory down below in the building didn't even show Labcorp either. I came across someone else who was trying to walk-in and they followed me in our search for this spot. One half of the building is closed and you have to enter through the parking lot side. When you go up the right floor and find the correct room, you enter and see a waiting room with so much people waiting, with a large screen TV and some ladies by the front. I walked towards the tablet and checked in on my own with the kiosk. I got called up by one of the ladies who bluntly just asked for my registration number. Her customer service was clearly disappointing to not just me, but to everyone else. My name would be on the TV with others. My name & 2 others was erased maybe 5 minutes in for some reason & it only displayed one name but all of us was still waiting to be called. They take walk-ins so your name on the TV is color-coded if you have an appointment or not. I had an "appointment" but still waited 20 minutes over my time, even with checking in 15 minutes early to my appointment. It turns out, the guy doing the urine tests inside literally goes one at a time. This other guy comes out after 20 minutes and suddenly starts drinking like 5 cups of water from the dispenser. He was told to wait and then I was called next. The guy who did my urine testing was also very lacking in customer service and seemed to hate being there. Beware! The guy drew a line on the cup and requests for a pretty big amount of urine so I could see why the guy before me was struggling to fill the cup too. I did the best I could and asked if it was enough. The guy was stressing outloud when he poured my urine cup into the vial. I offered to drink some water and try again later but the guy said it should be okay, although he seemed very low confidence about it. I would ask him questions about the results and be cordial and he would answer very bluntly too. When your done, he stares at you to leave without saying that's it or anything. The ladies at the front would prefer you to just walk away without speaking a word to them.

Quest lab in west hills. Visit was good, Quest Privacy…read more Checked in at kiosk, declined having t them scan my drivers license (and have them sell to AI companies). They verified me the the blood draw by name and DoB. Waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time. Had a nice phlebotomist, she did a good "stick", used a butterfly and milked my like a cow. Meaning high quality of care - that comment for yelp. A quick trip to the bathroom for a urine sample, and off i went. Just a comment, Quest now requires verifyinh identity before online accrss by uploading you scannrd Drivers License to a commercial 3rd party. In reading that companies privacy statement, you have none. Including using your face to train AI. So, no more access to your data online - perhaps time to switch.

I hate this place with every fiber of my being. You absolutely cannot talk to a human. If there is…read moreany issue checking in, you are screwed. You walk in and it's like something out of a sci-fi film where it's people waiting with a television looping information, but a locked door for people to take the next person in the automated line that appears on the screen. We have to come here for my kids' blood work but there is rarely a time when there isn't an issue. It's impossible to get a convenient appointment before school, the only appointments are usually only available during the middle of a work day. This last time, I was here at 7a, when it opens. My wife had an appointment at 3:30p as a back-up but we did the walk-in to get on the stand-by list. The iPad check-ins (your only option) both weren't functioning, where you had to hammer it down so hard for it to register any entry. When I finally got the info in, it would only let me check into the 3:30p appointment and not just join the wait-list. We cancelled that appointment but the check-in wouldn't let that go, it kept blocking us. This went around and around and people kept coming in, getting ahead of us, now 4th in line if we could get checked-in. There's nobody to talk to so I waited by the door as the lady came out to get someone else. She didn't want to talk me, wouldn't make eye contact and kept calling the next person and I had to interrupt to ask how to get on the list. She said you can't at this point. I said, "Can't YOU or someone just add us to the stand-by list?" "No." Then she did say if we used a reverse name or something different, that can work. So, I had to use a different version of her name, which should mess-up the distribution of the results. While we were sitting here, other people were having similar check-in issues and the group had to try and help each other log-in, being the customer service that absolutely does not exist here. Imagine being that cheap to not pay someone to sit at a desk and check people in. Seriously. You are literally just a number here; give us your money and get out.

Wow, Im surprised I'm the first one to review this place. This medical building is buzzing! Look at…read morethe parking lot at any time of the day, it is always full. Its only appropriate these Drs offices have a lab nearby to draw blood and collect specimens. United West Lab is one of two labs that I know in the 7230-Medical Ctr Drive building. UWL is: -on 3rd floor -has a tiny, awkwardly shaped, black n white checkered wait area -Staff is chipper -Staff is not as fast as Quest diagnostics (that has 10x the flow of patients) located in the same building, 3 floors up. -Note: They DO answer their phone, unlike Quest. I called after closing time, surprised that they answered and were genuinely nice. For adults it looks the blood draws are fast with little to no wait. For little ones, on the other hand, they didn't have the proper tools to accomplish a simple blood draw for a potassium check. United West Lab must be associated with the hospital--West Hills Medical Center because they called them to ask what they needed to use on a baby and then ran over to pick up what they needed (a heel stick) to finish the job. Reason for a 3 star review-- our labwork that was stat (test done immediately) was not a good draw, needed a re-do, so we wasted an hour, yes an hour. Plus we needed to go to another lab and start over. And...they got blood on our new car seat :/ For adults this place be convenient but for the little shoot for Children's Lab in Encino, if your insurance allows it. They are experienced as they only draw from kids.
