I received good service. I know bad customer service is everyones main complain for this location but me personally I was taken care of properly. Made an appointment for 12pm I arrived at 1148. Checked in on their kiosk which was super easy, I just scanned my barcode that was sent to me by email. A male called my name asked for confirmation number and then I waited to be called. I was in by 12:02 pm about 2 mins after my scheduled appointment. I'd say that's amazing in my book. Staff was nice, explained the process of what I needed to do and took care of business. I was in and out by 1215 ish the latest. I had planned to be there for an hour and so I cleared my schedule from 12 to 1. Now I had all this time to kill and decided to just run more errands. From getting my appointment details online and coming here, I was already confused trying to find the right suite for Labcorp. For some reason, there's no suite number listed other than the plaza medical building. It took a lot of digging to finally find that only one link texted to me showed the suite number. I think it was 304? I forgot, but the directory down below in the building didn't even show Labcorp either. I came across someone else who was trying to walk-in and they followed me in our search for this spot. One half of the building is closed and you have to enter through the parking lot side. When you go up the right floor and find the correct room, you enter and see a waiting room with so much people waiting, with a large screen TV and some ladies by the front. I walked towards the tablet and checked in on my own with the kiosk. I got called up by one of the ladies who bluntly just asked for my registration number. Her customer service was clearly disappointing to not just me, but to everyone else. My name would be on the TV with others. My name & 2 others was erased maybe 5 minutes in for some reason & it only displayed one name but all of us was still waiting to be called. They take walk-ins so your name on the TV is color-coded if you have an appointment or not. I had an "appointment" but still waited 20 minutes over my time, even with checking in 15 minutes early to my appointment. It turns out, the guy doing the urine tests inside literally goes one at a time. This other guy comes out after 20 minutes and suddenly starts drinking like 5 cups of water from the dispenser. He was told to wait and then I was called next. The guy who did my urine testing was also very lacking in customer service and seemed to hate being there. Beware! The guy drew a line on the cup and requests for a pretty big amount of urine so I could see why the guy before me was struggling to fill the cup too. I did the best I could and asked if it was enough. The guy was stressing outloud when he poured my urine cup into the vial. I offered to drink some water and try again later but the guy said it should be okay, although he seemed very low confidence about it. I would ask him questions about the results and be cordial and he would answer very bluntly too. When your done, he stares at you to leave without saying that's it or anything. No wonder this location already has so many negative reviews and a 2.3-star rating. This team is incredibly disorganized and shows no respect for people's time. I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment, arrived as scheduled, and somehow there were still five people ahead of me. No one explained the delay, no one gave an update, and having an appointment seemed to mean absolutely nothing. After waiting an hour, they finally called my name only to tell me I needed a new registration number. That should have been caught when I first checked in, but apparently no one bothered to verify it. So I had to start over with another registration number and sit down again for yet another long wait. To make matters worse, while patients were still sitting there with no communication and no clarity, the team went on lunch break. No notice, no effort to manage expectations, nothing. At that point, I had already been there for over two and a half hours for what was supposed to be a scheduled appointment. It "works" but there were issues with it working correctly which caused confusion and frustration since there was not a dedicated front office staff member to check in patients or answer questions. We had such a great experience with the West Hills Labcorp. They have 2 labs near the West Hills Hospital and there was some confusion (on my part!) about which location I'd made an appointment with. I arrived at the wrong location and so was going to miss the appointment at the proper lab. I explained we really needed the lab for a surgery in just a couple days. Instead of putting us off, the staff was so kind and called the other Labcorp and arranged for them to see us right away. The other lab is just in the next medical building but my Uncle is disabled to so takes time to load and unload wheelchair. Then when we got to the other location there was an issue with the doctor who didn't have an account for medicare billing. Once again Labcorp came through and took the time to find a work around so we could get the labs done. Lab tech was also great, quick and charming. They were all so kind and patient! I tried at other locations and it was hard to get an appointment. When l went to the location in Long Beach for "walk ins" l waited over 2 hours. Ugh. Waiting, for hours during Covid times just seem risky. This location is the best. I know, it is never fun, but they make it painless. The waiting room is pleasant. It's unfortunate to be forced to go to this lab since not that many labs around me & insurance complications. I had blood drawn today & the technician didn't remove the tight rubber from my hand while she was forcing to get blood out of my vein. She damaged my nerve fibers & I'm not able to move my arm. she unwrapped the rubber towards the end when I brought to her attention, However it was too late & she only had 1 more syringe to draw out of 6. I suffered from pain throughout the process and my arm is all bruised up. Came here for an employment drug test. I had my two children with me. I already had a very difficult time making an appointment and had to drive out of my area just to get one in the required time frame. I checked into my appointment 30 minutes early. As soon as I walk in the very unfriendly employee at the front desk asked me in a rude tone if I had an appointment. I told her I did. She then told me that I can't have my children with me. I told her that it didn't state that anywhere when I made the appointment. I asked if they could wait in the lobby, she said no. She had another very unfriendly and unprofessional woman come speak to me to tell me that "they can't babysit my kids for me". Not once did I ever ask them to. I told them I would be back and made arrangements for my husband to come get them. But because this is out of my area, he couldn't be there for 50 minutes. This would make me 20 minutes late for my appointment. I went back and told them the situation and asked if they could still honor my appointment 20 minutes after. The woman told me she couldn't because the computers stop working at 2:30pm. This made no sense, because my appointment was at 2:30pm. How would the computers stop working?? THEN she had the audacity to tell me she had another suggestion and that I could leave my kids in the car. In California if they are under 12, that is illegal and unsafe! I left in TEARS! I was humiliated and frustrated with the entire experience. Low and behold, I check the website for their policy and it actually says I can leave my children in the waiting area if they are mature enough, which they are. There is no age requirement as this would not be legal. In fact, I had been at Quest 2 days prior getting my yearly blood drawn and a urine sample while my kids quietly waited for me. The staff is nice. All 2 of them. There are 6 people in the waiting room and another 4 in the hall and I've been here since 0700 (almost an hour now) waiting to get my blood drawn. Someone needs to look at the early morning traffic and adjust the scheduling of the phlebotomist accordingly. You make an appointment ahead of time. You come in check in and yet!!!! You can't be serviced on your scheduled time- why? Because the medical assistant does not know or care enough to do his job with some degree of quality! He is answering personal phone calls, has a line wrapped around the waiting room and a line at the Kiosk checking in patients that know how to do sign in. Patient approaches kiosk and it get stuck on loading/processing. What does self serving attendant do, he ignores all appointments all the ones on the line to go over and start using the machine himself to check patients in. What happened to the ones before.....NOTHING. We end up at the end of the line and end up worst than the walk ins UGH NOT A PROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT.
