I've gone to other imaging centers and been to this one maybe 2 or 3 times (including today). I came early and staff were busy but I was acknowledged as soon as I walked up. Nice but also I understand it's not always easy in that environment to be on top of new people coming in. I checked in, filled out my paperwork and expected to be sitting for a while since my appointment wasn't until 11:30am and I arrived close to 10:45am. To my surprise I was taken back early. John was the star of my day. He greeted me more prepared than I've ever had a scan tech be. He ran down everything that would happen but none of it was condescending and he respected my experience while still checking if I had questions or needed anything. Anything John said he would do he did right on time. No one forgot about anything they said they'd do, whether it was getting parking validation, being reminded to take medication or asking for water. I was offered more comforts without asking. I didn't get his name but the guy working with John helped care for the little things and made sure I had a pillow also propped under my arms so they wouldn't fall asleep while my scans were being done. No other imaging place ever offered that, and yes my arms would fall asleep. We chatted about clothing options for scans and he's the first person to have given suggestions and they were good. Back to John, he talked me through my scans and what to expect, which I always appreciate. He told me how long until I could move my head while the rest of my body got scanned. Scans make me nervous so I try to request time checks but places don't always do them when they say they will. I didn't ask John for time info, he just did them and came over to tell me and check I was ok and understood instead of just using an intercom. Nothing felt forced and I had never admitted to them I have a hard time staying still for so long in the machine. They just got it. Scans used to take me about 45min but they also have a new machine that did them (PET/CT) in under 20. The results here also take maybe a day or two to be sent to my oncologist vs a week or two from other places I've been. I drive from the Hollywood area to Northridge based on my Oncologist's suggestion and as much as I hate the drive and the cost of gas this is absolutely worth it. Big thank you to the whole Renaissance Imaging Center of Northridge for being so wonderful. What a difference it makes. Bonus points that when I called Marisela to make an appointment she actually called me back when I left a message. It sounds so basic but going through the Medical system so much getting calls back is not as common as it used to be so I was impressed. read more

I had such a wonderful experience with Fariba Rabiei, Mammography Technologist, at Renaissance Imaging Center. After previously having a very negative experience there with an ultrasound technologist, Anete, I was honestly nervous about returning. During my ultrasound experience, I did not feel that Anete was trauma-informed. Her demeanor felt cold, detached, and lacking in compassion, and she came across to me as though she really did not want to be there. When you're already dealing with medical concerns and feeling vulnerable, the way you're treated matters tremendously. Then I met Fariba and Fariba was THE BEST! This was my first mammogram, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to walk me through it. Fariba was warm, polite, patient, compassionate, and incredibly respectful. She explained things, made me feel comfortable, and turned something I was nervous about into a genuinely positive experience. The contrast between my two experiences at the same facility was HUGE. Fariba demonstrated exactly what trauma-informed, compassionate patient care can look like. She made me feel like a person rather than just another appointment. Fariba, you redeemed this place for me! Give this woman a raise, an award, flowers... SOMETHING. for Fariba. Healthcare needs more people like her. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I called ahead and was told I did not need an appointment. When I arrived that afternoon, I was told the X-ray specialist was available from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, so I came back the next day within those hours. I arrived at 11:32 AM and was then told I should have been there before 11:30 AM, or that I needed to come back again after 2:15 PM. None of this was explained to me beforehand. Every time I spoke with someone, I was given different information. The lack of communication and consistency is unacceptable. Patients should not have to make multiple unnecessary trips because the staff cannot provide accurate information. This office has no respect for patients' time. I would not recommend this place unless they significantly improve their communication and customer service. read more

Her nursing home transportation completely screwed up and the lovely ladies behind the counter were so accommodating to me. It almost brought me to tears. The following people were so kind, helpful. I came the night before only to be told by two other employees that it takes 24 hours to receive a fax from my doctor which absolutely makes no sense. I had the best experience at this facility . I had to take my mom for a stat scan . I was lucky to have Imelda assist me . She saw how upset I was . She was so compassionate and efficient . She was quick and empathetic . She got my mom and appointment that day and also early the next day . She was claiming and reassuring . Wow I was so impressed by her behavior . AWESOME!, Kai Kim is an amazing MRI technologist! I'm terrified of needles, especially when it comes to getting an IV. I told Kai about this, and he was incredible. He made my entire experience so much easier. It was a long procedure, but he made it feel like I was only there for 30 minutes. He was super friendly and helpful, and he really understood my fear. I know I'll need more MRIs in the future, and I'll definitely be coming back and asking Kai to do them. read more

Poor communication. Change appointment times without confirming with you but leaving a message is good enough for them. Wife had appointment at 1pm but they called at 9am to leave a message because I work nights, I didn't get the call. So we show up but the tech that does mammograms has left for the day. They made me pay $500 out-of-pocket for an MRI because they couldn't get clearance from my insurance company. So I had the necessary MRI and ultimately the insurance company paid $330 approximately. I haven't been able to get my money back from them and finally they said they would reimburse me for the $330 that my insurance paid. I feel I should get $450 back which is the $500 minus my $50 co-pay. So they are scamming out-of-pocket people. I guess we all need to investigate what insurance would pay before we pay anything out-of-pocket. Also they tried to get my husband to pay $1500 for an MRI when the insurance was slow to approve! Luckily it was approved and he wasn't going to pay the ridiculous amount anyway . Make sure if you go there and you don't have insurance you check the prices at other places because they are taking advantage of people with no insurance. read more

I called on a particularly busy day and Livi really took the time to help me schedule several appts that needed immediate attention. After waiting over 2 hours for someone to finally answer, to make an appointment, just my luck, a very rude person with a really bad attitude answered. Then she put me on hold, and the call got disconnected! I appreciated that she called me back. However, I didn't appreciate how rude she was when she called me back and accused me of hanging up on her! It took me several attempts to explain that while waiting on hold, the call got disconnected and I didn't hang up on her!! OMG, horrible service!!! read more

Renaissance Imaging in Northridge... What a great location! Located just off Roscoe, just east of Reseda Boulevard. My appointment was for 10:30 AM on Saturday. My whole appointment/experience went very well. I got there filled out two sheets of paper sat down and got called back a few minutes later. Roger was a tech that was doing my imaging and he was really nice. My scan took around 30 minutes. It was easy, peazy! If you have any issues with claustrophobia or anything, just keep your eyes closed. It can be as easy as that. Fortunately I don't have that problem. They give you a really good ear plugs for the sound and it's not bad at all. Kinda actually put me in a little bit of a trance. Thought maybe I could go to sleep lol I was relaxed. parking was great on a Saturday! No issue. And the great thing is is that they validate... Thank you Renaissance Imaging in Northridge. I have been coming here for years now and the quality of care is above amazing. Front the time you check in to the people who help you with your services . The mammogram staff is kind and makes you feel comfortable. They truly care about your wellbeing. I am a high risk patient and I have to have an ultrasound every time I have a mammogram and usually every 6 months. Lusine has been my technician almost every time and I can't begin to share with you how wonderful this lady is. She is very professional but loving and kind at the same time. She makes you feel comfortable and she genuinely cares about you. She truly wants to get to know you so she can provide the best care possible . I can't imagine her not being there when I've had to face some difficult times. She gives me peace knowing I'm in the best hands and I'm getting the best care. She is truly an angel. read more

When I came in this morning for my mammogram, I must admit that all of the reps (i.e., Livi, Juan, and Imelda) were great! However, the rep Livi who assisted me was so extraordinary as she had the most amazing customer service. She exuded genuine kindness, care, and helpfulness! Be prepared to go to work late if you have work after your appointment. I made an appointment at 7:30am so I can get to work after work. I guess the imaging tech called the center to say that he will be late to work. They will never inform you and give you an option to reschedule and have you just wait in freezing lobby. They don't seem to understand people have plans. Prepare to wait for hours for your appointment. read more
