Hence, early this morning (with an 8AM appt time and doctor office not open until 9, and service wouldn't put me through unless medical emergency) I googled and found 3 imaging centers nearby. I called ProHealth first, and they said I did not have an appointment. So I tried the other 2, not there either... now running late, I went to the Doc office, and caught the first person going in, who then sent me over to ProHealth. OK, so I could give them another half star if yelp would let me because they didn't complain that I was not a half hour late, and though not amused by my story, they seemed like it was no big deal. The GOOD: pleasant clean building. Office decor is inviting, comfortable and coffee, TV & magazines available for the wait. Maybe it was the day I went, but I was the only one in the waiting room and when I left I saw next patient for my room and only a couple in the waiting room (I was recently in an imaging center where there is always a crowd in the waiting area and apologizing for a minimum 30 wait.) Except for the misstep about my appointment, the front office staff was pleasant. The male tech was professional, kind and helpful.

Never in my life have I waited LESS than 30 minutes at ANY clinic... let alone 6 minutes. Then I thought, "Okay, now I'll probably sit inside forever." Nope. I was brought into the exam room literally 3 minutes later. The mammogram (including the enhanced imaging) took maybe 10 minutes total, and I was walking out the door by 8:18am. Entire visit: about 20 minutes. I had blocked off THREE hours because I'm so used to medical appointments taking forever. The staff was efficient, organized, professional, and kind. Everything felt smooth, calm, and respectful of people's time, which is honestly rare these days in healthcare. And the BEST part? They told me results usually take 3-5 business days and that my physician would contact me. I got my results TODAY at 8:36am. I am still honestly in shock. I was surprised seeing some of the negative reviews, but after reading them, most seemed related to insurance frustrations rather than the actual facility or care. Personally, my experience was incredible. I genuinely cannot believe I wasted years driving all the way to Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills when this place exists. So happy I found them.

I've gone to other imaging centers and been to this one maybe 2 or 3 times (including today). I…read morecame early and staff were busy but I was acknowledged as soon as I walked up. Nice but also I understand it's not always easy in that environment to be on top of new people coming in. I checked in, filled out my paperwork and expected to be sitting for a while since my appointment wasn't until 11:30am and I arrived close to 10:45am. To my surprise I was taken back early. John was the star of my day. He greeted me more prepared than I've ever had a scan tech be. He ran down everything that would happen but none of it was condescending and he respected my experience while still checking if I had questions or needed anything. Anything John said he would do he did right on time. No one forgot about anything they said they'd do, whether it was getting parking validation, being reminded to take medication or asking for water. I was offered more comforts without asking. I didn't get his name but the guy working with John helped care for the little things and made sure I had a pillow also propped under my arms so they wouldn't fall asleep while my scans were being done. No other imaging place ever offered that, and yes my arms would fall asleep. We chatted about clothing options for scans and he's the first person to have given suggestions and they were good. Back to John, he talked me through my scans and what to expect, which I always appreciate. He told me how long until I could move my head while the rest of my body got scanned. Scans make me nervous so I try to request time checks but places don't always do them when they say they will. I didn't ask John for time info, he just did them and came over to tell me and check I was ok and understood instead of just using an intercom. Nothing felt forced and I had never admitted to them I have a hard time staying still for so long in the machine. They just got it. Scans used to take me about 45min but they also have a new machine that did them (PET/CT) in under 20. The results here also take maybe a day or two to be sent to my oncologist vs a week or two from other places I've been. I drive from the Hollywood area to Northridge based on my Oncologist's suggestion and as much as I hate the drive and the cost of gas this is absolutely worth it. Big thank you to the whole Renaissance Imaging Center of Northridge for being so wonderful. What a difference it makes. Bonus points that when I called Marisela to make an appointment she actually called me back when I left a message. It sounds so basic but going through the Medical system so much getting calls back is not as common as it used to be so I was impressed.

After previously having a very negative experience there with an ultrasound technologist, Anete, I was honestly nervous about returning. During my ultrasound experience, I did not feel that Anete was trauma-informed. Her demeanor felt cold, detached, and lacking in compassion, and she came across to me as though she really did not want to be there. When you're already dealing with medical concerns and feeling vulnerable, the way you're treated matters tremendously. Then I met Fariba and Fariba was THE BEST! This was my first mammogram, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to walk me through it. Fariba was warm, polite, patient, compassionate, and incredibly respectful. She explained things, made me feel comfortable, and turned something I was nervous about into a genuinely positive experience. The contrast between my two experiences at the same facility was HUGE. Fariba demonstrated exactly what trauma-informed, compassionate patient care can look like. She made me feel like a person rather than just another appointment. Fariba, you redeemed this place for me! Give this woman a raise, an award, flowers... SOMETHING. for Fariba. Healthcare needs more people like her.

The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff was so friendly. Monica was especially sweet and thoughtful -- she made the whole experience so comfortable. My MRI took an hour total, and there was nothing to listen to. I was offered ear plugs but since it's an open MRI it really wasn't noisy at all. However I was a bit bored and I think it would have been nice to have any type of music playing in the room. I found myself searching the entire time for shapes in the ceiling holes. Once finished, staff said they could not give me a CD immediately because it wasn't working but they got my info to mail it to me, and I received the CD in the mail only a few days later. From my first phone call, speaking (many times, because of MY questions) to Marissa, I was put at ease. She is delightful, helpful, professional and answered all my questions as they came up, never appearing annoyed (as some offices can . The front office is the first thing a patient deals with....if it is not a good experience, it doesn't matter what follows. The experience can be soured. Fees are different from patient to patient, but I was promptly quoted a reasonable amount and signed a paper agreeing to that amount. Delighted to find everyone was as wonderful as Marissa. Diane and Cynthia on the phone and Anna, the manager, in person. They were kind and accommodating. Anna is a gem. I can see why her employees are top notch. NOW, the actual MRI: Elyse (Eliz?) was my tech. She was sweet, helpful, and as gentle as she could be. I had earplugs. The 20 minutes went by incredibly fast! I may have fallen asleep.
