This doctor saw me for a grand total of ~maybe~ 7 minutes. And this was as a first time patient, too! He didn't let me get a single sentence out, cut me off every time I spoke, and told me that what had been happening for the last couple months didn't matter -- only what my symptoms are "today." He didn't want to hear about any of the details that lead up to me being there, which would've took 5 minutes for me to explain to him. He just wanted to get to the next patient in the room, and didn't care at all about me. All he did was order me a colonoscopy/endoscopy because I told him about my family history of CRC, but I was so anxious and disappointed after this appointment that I canceled it and the follow-up afterards. Instead, I found a great new GI in Newport Beach, CA, who had a 30-40 minute consultation with me as a first-time patient, listened to my issues, explained things really nicely to me, and gave me a full plan/regimen out the door. He also ordered me the same colonoscopy/endoscopy, which I scheduled and will be doing soon. I left this new doctor's office feeling much more relieved and prepared about what to do next, and listened to/seen. If I were you, I would think twice about wasting your time for an appointment to see Dr. Naim. I was not happy with him or his practice at all, and would not recommend him to anyone I know.

I finally needed to schedule a colonoscopy after getting by with a home test kit for years. I was…read morereferred to Dr. Sach. I'm the biggest baby ever when it comes to medical care. The last time I was inpatient was when my tonsils were removed when I was 4 years old. Until 2 years ago, I wasn't even taking any Rx medication. Needless to say, my anxiety level was sky high. The atmosphere in the office was super chill. The guy who took my insurance information was pleasant. It took less than 10 minutes from the time I arrived until Dr. Sach walked in to the exam room. He explained all about the procedure and the prep. He didn't try to downplay the nature of the prep but explained how important it was for me to get it right. Our visit didn't end until he was sure that any questions I had were answered. The person who set up the date for the procedure was also very nice. She explained where I would have the procedure done (right down the hall from the office), what time to arrive, and what time I could expect to leave. She then directed me to someone who would deal with my prep medications. Again, I was greeted warmly and with a smile. I could purchase the meds from the office or do my own shopping at the pharmacy. It seemed easiest to just do it at the office. I was handed a gold gift bag with the meds and prep instructions. Everyone I met reiterated that I should call if I had any questions or concerns. I'll update this review once my procedure is complete. I can't say that I'm looking forward to it, but Dr. Sach and his office staff did a great job at alleviating most of my fears.

One of the single most bizarre office visits I have ever experiences, and it was for my 12 year old…read moreson. Dr. Collins speaks in short, clipped sentences, seeming both rushed and dismissive at the same time. She becomes exasperated if you don't automatically comprehend her quickly uttered sentences. For example, she asked in rapid speech: "Does he sit?" I answered, unsure of her meaning (and wildly uncomfortable after a few minutes of her demeanor) "I suppose he sits before and after school." I thought it was a physical fitness question. Then she said, almost angrily: "No. Does he sit on the TOILET?" I laughed to break the tension, but the entire thing was really uncomfortable. The worst part is that my son grew more and more tense until his eyes were huge, and when she left the room for a minute he said to me, whispering: "She's mean, I wanna go home." In the end, we learned absolutely nothing from the visit. Also, the office staff behaves just as Dr. Collins does, acting as if you are really bothering them. They deal with you in a manner that is incredibly rushed, and they are very bothered by answering any questions. Strangely, we were their first patient of the morning, and there was no one else in the waiting room as we left. I urge you to find someone else with a bedside manner (especially because she deals with CHILDREN, and even as an adult the experience was awful), this visit was overwhelmingly bad in every way..

Her follow up is excellent - I cannot iterate how much I appreciate the zillions of emails back/forth where I described my daughter's poop over and over. She made sure to help us parents realize how much our daughter's personality played into this and the behavioral components of gastrointestinal health in small children. She is thorough, direct but kind, and excellent at what she does. Thank you Dr. Collins!
