We honestly stumbled upon this place while walking by and really enjoy the energy and color scheme. It seemed so peaceful inside. We ordered some delicious decaf drinks and I had their veggie focaccia. The focaccia bread was amazing, to fluffy and the herds and oil on the bread was so fragrant and delicious. They also stuffed the sandwich so full, it ended ip being so much food, I should have ate it for two meals. All of their ingredients were so fresh and high quality. I would be interested to try their other menu items! The sandwich was a bit pricy at 14.50 but they did not skimp on the quality. I thought it was so cool that they had a free library in the shop, one where you can take a book and leave a book. I love the feeling of community that it puts into the space. Plus an announcement board that you can hang local happenings on. There is plenty of space to hang with friends, read a book, or study. Only downside it lack of parking, it's all street parking.

However, the service left a lot to be desired. There was only one person managing everything, and despite no one being ahead of me, it took over 20 minutes to receive my order. The wait felt especially long for something as simple as a coffee and a crepe. The coffee was good, but the crepe was just average. It was larger and thicker than expected, which didn't really work in its favor. Overall, while the ambiance is appealing, the slow service and underwhelming food make it unlikely that I'd return.

A great place to catch up with friends, study, or do some work on your laptop. Service was quick. Food was pretty good! Unfortunately, parking is metered in this area. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area. Food/drink review: Iced matcha latte w/ vanilla syrup: (4/5) This was delicious, though very heavy on the ice. I feel like I had maybe 5 sips of my drink. Breakfast croissant: (4/5) Great flavor overall- I just felt the bacon and croissant were a little too crispy and burnt for my taste.

I love how when you walk in, the energy is upbeat with Spanish-style music playing in the background, marigold flowers on the tables, and a pretty artistic aesthetic with all sorts of photographs and paintings on the walls. I love how they have their place all decked out in Fall decor with their pumpkins all dressed up and matching orange marigold arrangements on the tables. They also have such a cozy and cute courtyard also. This place offers everything! It's more than food, they sell wine, they live music on the weekends also. I ordered a Vanilla Matcha latte which was so delicious and a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon that was on a buttery croissant which was so delicious. It hit the spot! Rafael the manager served me and I really appreciated his warm and welcoming personality. There was another guy that was behind the counter who brought out my sandwich and was not only efficient but kind. I did not get his name though. I totally recommend this place.

I used to make these muffins at home but now that it's only me and it's a lot of work I don't bother. I like to treat myself here. It's very convenient when I come to my doctor at Scripps and they have free parking for an hour. I get my coffee at Peets next-door and then I walk. And grab the brown muffin and have the perfect breakfast.! I got really special service today from Cat and we had a fun chat about honey brown muffins and how most people don't like them or choose them because they don't realize how incredible they are. We also talked about being grandmas! Everything was clean and great, and I love the decor of the French Café ! Bon appetit

I am surprised at how busy it is in the early morning hour, but that just proves how good they are!
