I ordered on DoorDash and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the perfectly sealed paper bag to find a hefty sized, meticulously wrapped sub with a Boars Head sticker on it. I worked in a sub shop for the majority of my adolescence and can attest that any deli using Boars Head is investing in high quality. I got the Pesto Turkey with provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo: 5/5, absolutely delicious with perfect portions of fillings to bread and the moistest turkey. & the Italian Sub with provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard and jalapeño: 3/5, I went against my better judgment going with their standard combo of mayo and mustard but it was admittedly too much that took away from the meat/cheese. The jalapeños also definitely packed a punch. We were looking for a new sandwich shop and we may have found it. He chose the "Muir Ave": Roast Beast, Sprouts, Pepperoncini, Swiss Cheese... plus the veggie add ins and mustard, mayo, vinegar & oil, salt & pepper on a French Roll. I chose the "Santa Monica Ave": a huge veggie sandwich with half an Avocado sliced thinly, and spread across a Squaw Roll. Plus the veggie add ins and finished with mustard, mayo, vinegar & oil, and ground pepper. We also got a container of potato salad with two forks, a good amount of napkins, and a 15% first-time discount popped up for checking in with Yelp. We took our sandwiches over to the Cliffs, where we had a nice impromptu picnic dinner with a view and sound of the ocean. Plenty of sandwich, fresh ingredients, and the potato salad had just enough sweetness to it. We will definitely do this again. 05/21 ETA: Late afternoon, we split a "Cable St."; a triple-decker on MARBLED RYE (my fave!) w/turkey, bacon, provolone, and avocado and the above add ins.
