Ordered some sweet treats from Divo Diva and had a mixed experience. The açaí bowl was a nice size, attractively prepared and tasty. The mini bombolonis, filled with Nutella, were also yummy. However the chocolate croissant and bear claw were both very dry, and neither flaky nor flavorful. The croissant in particular seemed like it was made quite a while ago (I got it around 930 am) because the chocolate on top was hard, and the filling was dry/sparse. read more

Monday, Friday and Saturday D D is open from 8am to 6pm, with great finds for morning afternoon and early evening. Tuesday through Thursday you can enjoy the charm of Divo D from 8am until 4pm. Parking in the area is there, more so in the early half of the day. There's construction at the moment that does limit a few spots, but also the traffic. This place popped up on my Instagram reels so decided to give it a shot. There is no free parking here anymore. Since it was a weekday or wasn't very busy until lunch time. Found this place during a walk around the area. I initially wanted to try two other matchas but they were out of some ingredients. The cashier suggested the peach matcha, it was okay not great but not bad. The flavors for both the matcha and peach could be stronger, it was refreshing though. Service was good and everyone was really attentive. The place was nicely decorated for the holidays. This is a cute little European restaurant. It is adorable and the coffee is very high quality. The avocado toast was toasted perfectly with crunch on the outside and soft on the inside with a perfect amount of avocado. The service is also great. This is a review for the music and dinner show that takes place regularly at Divo Diva. I learned about Divo Diva because I frequent a business across the street. One evening, I heard opera music that I had thought was a recording, but then I heard people applauding. I was so surprised to find that it was live! After that, I looked up online and learned about the music and dinner show. I made a reservation to attend with two friends on a Friday night. When making the reservation, we learned that it was a set dinner menu with an appetizer, a drink ,and dinner along with the show. The price was around $100 per person (which included the show and gratuity), so I wasn't expecting anything too fancy. The host answered my request to reserve very quickly. She was very gracious and checked to see if there were any vegetarians or non-drinkers in our group. Anyway, the experience was like no other. The place is small and absolutely adorable. They had a list of coffee drinks that sounded wonderful, and some beautiful pastries behind the counter. The owners are both beautiful singers and sang a variety of operetta and show tunes. It was a two-person show. The customers appeared to be regulars and knew what to expect. The were both kind and outgoing and involved the audience in the show. It appears that they change the musical numbers regularly. It seems like the cafe itself has a lovely culture and they host other events during the week. The show is really a one-of-a-kind experience. If you enjoy opera music or show tunes, I highly recommend it. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the food was just OK. It consisted of a cheese and fruit plate, mushroom ravioli with meat sauce, and a glass of Prosecco. We ordered extra glasses of wine and a small dessert to share. As, I said, I didn't expect much for the price, and making the same dish for everyone is the easiest way to go for crowd with such a small staff. I'm not sure how it could be changed, but I may have preferred to eat first and just had drinks or dessert at the show. All in all, it was a very lovely evening. read more

I discovered this café through Yelp while searching for a spot in the Hillcrest area. It immediately caught my eye because it had all five-star reviews--which is rare! There's usually at least one person who isn't completely satisfied, so I figured it was definitely worth checking out. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the café's unique and charming ambiance. It's clear the owner put a lot of thought and care into the decor--some of the pieces show incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. I happened to visit on St. Patrick's Day, and there was a parade happening nearby, which added to the festive vibe. I also snapped a bunch of photos by the pink tree outside--such a cute spot! I ordered a fancy drink and a pastry, and both were delicious. The owner even came over to chat with us. She was incredibly warm and down-to-earth--she totally gave me "girl next door" vibes. Went for the Halloween Phantom of the Opera dinner event. I love opera and was absolutely blown away with how lovely Victoria & Rosario were. It was absolutely so beautiful and wonderful made me tear up. The show was great and was lovely to enjoy wine, some really nice lasagna, and a leisurely charcuterie. The past two months, I've been on a croissant kick. I'm very health conscious but I have no problems treating myself to one or two a week to dip into a strong espresso. Heaven. I found Divo Diva Cafe scrolling through Facebook one day & immediately became intrigued by an Afternoon Tea that was to be held. There were only twenty spots available & I just knew I had to be in one of them. The booking process was so easy. Victoria helped set me up with two other ladies joining me so we would be able to sit with one another. Pictures do NOT do this place justice. Every corner has a pop of color & something interesting to see. The book case wall was my absolute favorite. Seriously looked like something out of a Princess story book. Parking was SUPER easy. There is a park & pay within walking distance with a close cross walk. The singing was also something else to hear! I've only included a snippet to encourage you to experience that type of power house in person. I have always admired hearing the song Carmen Habanera, but experiencing it in person had me in complete awe. Can not say enough good things about my experience here. Walking past the coffee shop, I was drawn by their beautiful cheesecakes on display. I went for coffee the next morning and was so impressed with my drink. I ordered a hot Lady Lupe with an add shot. Stop it right now!!! My drink was so amazing, it put all other coffee shops to shame! This is Hillcrest, known for its ambience and food and Divo Diva is the perfect fit. Stopped by for lunch today. Very inviting establishment. Blue and gold interior. Great lunch! The menu had many vegetarian options for my buddy and I too had a vegetarian lunch. Excellent! And I washed it down with coffee. The coffee options are wonderful. Too full of great food to order dessert, but I may swing by again just for coffee and desert. Can't tell you how much I love this new hidden gem!! Ambiance is so chic and welcoming, service is on point, and the food...WOW! You MUST try their Ricotta Pear Cake -beyond perfect! I actually came here for the limoncello croissant after seeing Heather from Fox5 post about this place, but seriously, it's the ricotta pear that steals the show. Also enjoying a large Mexican Mocha -not too sweet, perfect pairing for their pastries. Can't wait to return! Divo and Diva is a wonderful coffee shop for a great breakfast or lunch. They serve wonderful desserts, coffee drinks and wine until 4pm. daily. The owners, Rosario and Victoria are professional opera singers and open their beautiful coffee shop several times a month in the evening to sing opera favorites, show tunes and Italian songs. I have attended their shows a minimum of 10 times enjoying their beautiful music with a glass of prosecco, a charcuterie board, lasagna or a quality salad. For many years the Shell was my place to listen to music. What Divo and Diva provide is good food, excellent entertainment, intimate setting and a warm and generous attitude. They should be performing not only at their coffee shop and other events around town, they should be a headliner at the Shell. read more

Came to Divo Diva for an energy boost after a fitness class. I got the Lavender Bee with oat milk. There was a balance to the flavors and gave me the energy I needed. The former space for Pappalecco in Hillcrest has been replaced by this new Italian-style cafe. The exterior looked rather mundane, but the inside space was nicely furnished, highlighted by mirrors along one wall and bookshelves containing wine bottles on another wall. There was a long bar area in addition to the small tables that filled the dining area. Upon walking in, the service counter and a display case of pastries and beverages were right in front. The one-page menu listed brunch items and sweet goods on the left side with panini, bruschette, a charcuterie board, and pizza on the right side. The last three offerings were available only after 3 pm. As the only customer at the time of my visit, I ordered a Meatball Mozzarella Sub ($14) and a slice of Strawberry Monterosa Cake ($7.50) for my meal. I took a seat at a table and soon afterward, the sub came out on a rectangular plate. Five meatballs were provided on an Italian roll with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and four basil leaves. For the price, it needed more meat, additional toppings, and/or a small side dish. The cake slice consisted of a mix of mascarpone and ricotta cheese, divided by a sponge cake layer, and topped with strawberries. It was fruity without being too sweet. For the quality and quantity of food, the value could have been better. The service was fine, and my items came out of the kitchen fairly quickly. I rated my dining experience at Divo Diva between three and four stars. read more
