Easy 5 stars here. Couple things that really stood out. Very friendly person at register with a chill vibe. Beautiful interior with a very clean and organized spread. You can find anything you need for a picnic, meal prep or just small items. I picked up the albacore sandwich which was a good portion with very fresh ingredients. The whole grain bread was perfect. After looking around I also picked up a pot pie which they only make on Friday through Sunday. Also picked up a charred cabbage salad. Both were so good. Will be back as soon as I can!

Great desserts to go or enjoy in the store

My friend Jean and I had lunch on February 13, Galentine's Day and there was a beautiful little shop a couple of storefronts away called MORENA PROVISIONS. It was filled with great gifts and desserts. We shared carrot cake to finish our meal and a glass of red wine. We were really impressed by the selection and found 5 different cards that were just perfect for my two granddaughter, my daughter-in-law, my grandniece from France who we celebrated Galentine's Day with that evening with unique cards and gifts. We were so impressed that we can't wait to go back to see what's new! Fortunately we have an appointment with our acupuncturist whose office is close by next Thursday and we'll see what's new and try some of the other desserts at the shop and get more to share at home. The staff was super friendly and helped us with information about all of their fabulous product!

I've had this place two days in a row and I'm still craving it. I tried the chicken BLAT and it's the only thing I want to eat for the rest of my life. Try yours on focaccia bread and panini pressed and you'll be hooked. I also had the carrot cake today and it was perfection. Highly recommend! Thanks Sandi for the great service!

Sandi happy serving her customers.

Artichoke chicken salad sandwich. Yum

I've been coming here for years, when it was Waters. I come two or three times a week for the past ten years to pick up lunch and dinner, it's fabulous. Sandy, Leslie and Matt are awesome! Definitely my go to for myself and hosting.

Half of portobello and pepper sandwich

We stopped by this place looking for sandwiches for lunch, and the food was really very good. Healthy and tasty as well. I had a portobello mushroom sandwich with roasted bell peppers and other goodies. My husband had the tuna fish sandwich with really great bread. Both sandwiches we would definitely have again, although I want to try other ones. Many baked goods savory and sweet to choose from, and we got chocolate chip cookies to go. We will be going to this place again. Great lunch find.

Christmas shopping for foodies.

What a great find in an odd to find location. I stumbled across this place while looking for tacos and what a find. I had a wonderful sandwich and did Christmas shopping all in the same place. Will definitely come again next time I'm on Moreno blvd.

We were in the area looking for a brunch spot and striking out, and everyone was getting to the "we…read moreneed food NOW" stage, so we ended up at Common Stock. When we sat down, we were a little surprised that the brunch menu was pretty limited compared to the photos that originally caught our attention. I'm guessing those were from the dinner menu. Our server was actually so great about it--he told us to take our time looking it over and that if we weren't excited about anything, we were welcome to leave and he wouldn't take it personally. That honestly won us over. Even our kids were impressed by how straightforward and nice he was and decided we should stay. And I'm glad we did. The Crispy Brussels were delicious--seriously, one of the highlights. My daughter loved the Strawberry Shortcake French Toast. My son liked the Japanese Potato Hash, although he wished there was another way to add more protein besides bacon. I had the Hot Chicken + Waffle and really enjoyed it, and my husband had the Nashville Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The food took a little longer than expected, but the service more than made up for it. Our server was genuinely kind, honest, and attentive, which can make such a difference. We came in mostly because we were hungry and running out of options, but left really happy we gave Common Stock a chance. Great food and, more importantly, really great service.

Our server was friendly and answered our questions, we had no complaints there. However the menu was very limited and the food was okay. We may have had to do more research but it didn't seem very family or kid friendly (menu wise). We ended up getting the pizza rolls, rotisserie chicken, crispy Brussels and chicken sandwich. The pizza rolls I was picturing something like a Totino's pizza roll or a savory cinnamon roll, so I asked about it and our server described it similar to an "empanada". It ended up being closer to a wonton than anything. It wasn't bad but was fairly oily. Wouldn't order again. The rotisserie chicken was really good and I liked the sauce it came with. The chicken was pretty tender as well. The chicken sandwich was okay. There was a lot of mayo/creamy sauce. Combined with the fried chicken it felt a bit heavy. The bun was really good though. We really liked the Brussels sprouts. It has a great citrusy taste and was cooked well.

From quality of food to the great selection of draft beers..I was more than contempt, I was satisfied with my selection..their $1/wing special and $6 draft beers on game days, I think this has to be one of the most underrated deals in the city. Our server was nice and attentive, and we got our food in a decent amount of time. I got the short rib poutine, and it came with a TON of fries. I love fries, but even for me it was a bit much. I definitely think this could easily be shared, especially if you're ordering other things for the table. The guacamole was honestly a big disappointment. I'm not even sure I would call it guacamole. Living in San Diego, I'm used to having fresh avocado and actual guacamole, so I definitely had higher expectations. The menu says it's freshly mashed, but what we were served did not taste or look like freshly mashed avocado at all. It seemed more like some kind of blended mixture, and the texture was completely different from what I was expecting. This was probably the biggest letdown of the meal. I also tried the watermelon candy alcoholic drink, but unfortunately it wasn't really for me. It was basically a watermelon mojito with a few small differences. I personally don't think mint belongs in a Mexican candy inspired drink, so the combination just didn't work for me. The decorations and atmosphere are really nice, and our server was great. They also have good happy hour specials.

Nice atmosphere and lay out for personal eating with a person or small group. Just enough lighting and music level that is not overbearing. Brown being my calming color works for me and good old hearty heavy food. If you want to leave out full this is the place for you. I had a chicken casserole two adult beverages, coke and coffee. My other half had sea food linguine a cocktail and terameso. Our server; Nanami and bartender did a good job with being only attentive enough to let us eat and the second drink (a Sweet Old Fashion) was the best all year. Trying to be adventurous I found out that I dont care for vermouth with the first drink. We started out with a huge charcuterie board that I had to stop myself from eating too much of that was full of an even amount of cheese, meat, fruit, nuts an sauces. The big cunks of chicken and vegetables is a good meal that I had to box up and would probably be good enough for two people. The pasta suace was lacking in tamatoe flavor and the fish was obviously taked from a precooked pan. Us being the last customers I know our dishes wasn't freshly cooked but the taste was very good. I still give this a high score and suggest for people to go here if you like stick to your ribs food, just ask for freshly cooked. $167 with 19% gratuity

On my 2nd visit, I wanted to try the flatbread/pizza. I had been waiting quite a while when I saw one coming toward my table, only for it to be served to the table behind me, even though they had arrived after I did. The server forgot that I ordered it. And then told them to wait on my main course even though I was famished and wanted the food to come out while not caring about the order. The food itself is quite good. It is definitely on the salty side, but I actually enjoy that, so it works for me. The chef/owner is very friendly and welcoming with guests. However, I was uncomfortable with the way I saw him speak to some of the staff, which came across as demeaning and disrespectful and outright insolent. I enjoy the live music and some of the food, but after two disappointing experiences with the service, I'm not sure I would return. Two strikes may be enough for me.
