In August we ordered two doors - a front door with side panels and a set of French doors for our basement entrance. Total cost exceeded $15,000. *** We were told 8 to 12 weeks to installation.*** The minute our deposit was down on these doors, that was the end of all forms of actual customer service. The doors were finally installed in FEBRUARY! We were never contacted about the delays. Calls to our salesman and the office were ignored. Promises were repeatedly broken. The final piece of work was completed on March 12th. Almost 7 months. The doors are lovely but there is no force on Earth that would persuade me to do business with them ever again. Doors were very expensive. Installers left grease and hand prints, scuffs on walls. Had to use Magic Eraser to clean. I had paint code to match existing trim. They insisted on using a paint sample for the door color, not the correct paint code, so the door color didn't match. Had to repaint the doors myself. I complained about the paint, including to the owner. Didn't get the decency of a response. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Really unhappy customer. I did my homework and went to several different companies. I hired Berry Door for quality workmanship and a custom job even though pricey. I'm sorry that I chose them. I was very clear in that I wanted no surprises and had them out several times to explain the process exactly. Well, at no time did they tell me that they cad to cut through my kitchen ceramic tile and cut several inches of it!!! During installation I overheard one worker say it to another. Well a little late then. Furious! Then they wanted me to sign a statement of work that had cut through tile in large print and highlighted. Hmmm trying to cover their tracks? Nope. No way I'd sign that. And custom? A spot was missed on the door. They came back out and colored it in with a dime store marker. Stay away from Berry Door. I should have picked a door from Hoods and had any Joe Blow install. read more

I realize times are strange, but 1 year since initial order and they are still not complete. Installed wi does but my screen door they got wrong g the first time, and had to reorder. The second one, the installer broke the glass, and now waiting on that. The door doesn't shut on its own, you have to slam it. I contacted them stating so and got zero response. We have been wanting new doors and windows for many years. We went to another company first and we were VERY disappointed with their lack of information. We called Berry and they made an appointment the next day for us to visit their showroom. The representative was spectacular. He could show us all the choices, quote price ranges, and demonstrate the features. We left knowing we would buy from this company. A few days later, the same rep came to our house and we finalized the items we wanted. We had the bid the next day. Once our products were available (2 doors and 13 windows), the installers came to our house and had everything installed and cleaned up in one day. He said he would get us a quote in a couple of days. I never heard back. Was just cleaning up and came across his card and thought I'd share the experience. I'd say don't waste your time with this buisness. If they can't be bothered to follow through on the simplest part of the process, they are likely very unreliable and frustrating once money starts changing hands. read more

Had their service man come to our house to fix remote access on two garage door openers. He failed to use the side buttons to do this on the wall control and insisted the we needed a $680.00 replacement garage door opener. I agreed, only to find later, that the side button method on the inside wall control, worked as a fix for free in calling the Chamberlain Liftmaster customer service rep. Now, they do nothing to resolve the issue...we are stuck with the $680.00 bill. Very unfair. read more

have tried multiple times just to BUY doors from them. Originally i wanted to replace all the doors in our house for sound proof doors that were the same color as the trim, but I couldn't get the sales rep to call me at all! Finally after stopping by the show room twice, a sales person called and left a messaged. I called him back twice and he NEVER called me back after. I went back in and said I would settle for buying a single door to replace the one we damaged when we bought our new house. Still no call from a sales guy. The men on the showroom floor seemed nice, but if you can't even get them to sell you something, whats the point of bringing customers in to a showroom. I called for a quote for a garage door replacement and was told the salesman would call me for an appointment. He called a short time later and came to my home the next day. He was very low pressure and even said I didn't need a more expensive door because my garage is not heated. The installation crew arrived the following week. They were two extremely polite young men who removed the old door, installed the new one and packed up and hauled away the old door - all done in one hour. After getting several bids we decided to go with berry door and window for a new patio door with blinds between the glass. The salesman said 4 hour install time and they had a open next week. This was in October of 2018. I went against my better judgement and did not take off work. My wife was there alone with our kids during the install. After the install the guys said all done took our check and on their way. I get home from work and notice right away that the door was not right. The top frame rail was bowed about a 1/2 in center. Thus making the door very hard to open as it was compressing the door. Both side rails are bowed as well about 3/8 of an inch. The door was obviously out of square because of this. I immediately called the salesman. No answer. From this day forward he would not return my phone calls. I told him the issues via text and sent him photos. He replies only by text. He did apologize and said the install manager would call me tomorrow. He did. He said I apologize my installers told me how bad that door was. They said it was so twisted from the factory that they had to use more screws than normal to get it as good as it was. I asked him why would they take out my perfectly working French door if they knew this one was bad. He had no answer. He said we will bring out a new door next Monday. I said ok. I took vacation off work and waited for their arrival. Guess what they pull up to my house and unload the new door as I'm standing there with my level and square. The new door they brought was worse than the door they put in my house already. After numerous phone calls to the install manager he says it will be 2-4 weeks for new door. In December I call the owner. Who is more forgetful and lack of concern for customer service as the rest of his staff tells me the door manufacturer in Ohio found that all of their machines are out of calibration and that no body caught it until I did. I was pretty unhappy. He asked me to be patient and they wanted to make this right. I said ok we need to discuss price bc after all the lying and dishonesty I'm not paying much for the door. I'd rsther do business with another company. He assured me to not worry about price. The owner said I'll call you the week before Christmas to give you an update. Guess what. He never did. I called him. He didn't answer though. I was told in my first phone call with the owner that I would have a new door by end of January. I called him again in January. Guess what he did not answer but he did return my phone call he said everything is still on track for the end of the month. I said ok let's talk price. He said no need I just want to get this door in for you and we can worry about that later. He said I'll call you in a week to set up appointment. February 6th 2019 he finally calls and said I want your authorization to order the door prior to ordering (voicemail). Are you kidding me!!! I called him back and left him a voicemail and said we need to discuss price first this has been going on 4.5 months now. He did not return my phone call until 4 weeks later. Now we are in March 2019 and we finally have a install date and the owner said we will install the door and cut you a check for xx dollars. I figured this was because of the repeated lies and failed communication and the fact that this has been going on for almost 5 months. So I take another days vacation for day of Install. 30 minutes before arrival of install crew the owner calls me and says we won't be issuing a check to you. Instead you owe us a check for a thousand bucks. I said are you kidding me. I said if you would have told me this at the beginning I could have found another company to do business with. Now I wasted another day vacation thanks for calling 30 minutes prior to the appointment. I said you asked me 3 different times to be patient you wanted to make this right. His only response was sorry we couldn't resolve this issue have a good day. WOW. I wouldn't do or recommend using this company for any services. Do your homework is all I can say. read more
