    The crack is in the upper left hand corner of the window.

    Very disappointing service. Because of Covid the windows we ordered in November did not arrive until May. When they installed our large picture window it cracked. They did not even notice until my husband pointed it out. Reordered window. Several weeks later it finally came only to be the wrong size. They take no responsibility instead blaming the factory. Today for the third time they are coming to install a window that was ordered almost a year ago. They are also refusing to give us a discount for all of their mistakes. We will not be using them for any other window replacement needs.

    Poor quality window. Seal failed after six years, they want $125-$250 to replace the glass on a sash approx 29"x16".

    This review will touch on several aspects of my experience there:…read moreWhen I entered the store, there was one woman at her desk behind the counter. She got up and I explained to her what I needed: All I needed was a small pane of glass, 4 x 13 inches. I had brought a sample glass, which I asked them to replicate, but!!! to just make the new one 1/8 " slimmer than the original, along the 13 inch side. After I had told her all of that, she said that she was not the one who needed to know, but that she needed to call a technician from the back. However, before she could do that, I needed to pay: $ 9.72 for the little pane of glass...OK, no problem... I need it! I tended her my credit card. She refused it, saying they only take cash under 20 $. Well, my car was parked a little stretch away, since they don't have a parking lot. I said to her that while I was getting the cash from my car, she could maybe have them cut the glass, to save time?? NO, not possible. First pay, then service... was her answer. I walked out to get my purse, returned and paid in cash. Then she called a technician from the back. The elderly employee took notes on a pad, of what I wanted, then proceeded to the back of the place, where they manufacture the orders. The female employee pointed me to the exit door and told me to go to the side of the building where there is another door, and this is where they would hand me the new glass pane. So I am standing outside, in the sweltering heat (100 F that day!)... with the brick wall and the sidewalk reflecting the heat at me, no shade tree... and sweating, waiting... after about 15 minutes, I got my glass pane. I checked it and it was exactly the size of the original, not 1/8" narrower! Return inside, explain what's wrong... repeat of the first part... waiting... another technician comes back and hands me the new pane: it is 1/8" shorter now, not 1/8" narrower! Reclamation on my part. They go back and do it again....now the new version is 1/8" shorter AND 1/8" narrower.... somebody help me!!! Next round and finally, I get the correct size pane. At that point, I could not refrain from making a comment to the front employee about how this experience was anything but customer friendly to me. She took offense at that! No "sorry" no nothing! I will make sure to never even accidentally step into that store again. There is another glass cutting store about 2 blocks further down. I'll go there next time.

    It seems I am not alone in this post. The customer service is HORRIBLE! I needed a double pane…read morewindow replaced. When I dropped my window off, I explained that I work and would be getting there right before 4pm to pick it up. The lady said "That's no problem! We are open till 4." I started calling at 340 to tell them I was on my way, no answer. Then when I got there at 3:54pm, EVERYONE was gone! So, I went back the next morning and explained what happened. The guy laughed and said "Guess they dipped out early on ya!" and laughed again. As a paying customer, that is not funny. I wasted my time leaving early from work to pick it up and had to go into work late the next day to actually get the window I had already paid for. From now on, I will be going anywhere but here! Hopefully someone looking for a repair will seek out reviews and chose to go somewhere else too! They do not deserve your business!

I have had one positive experience when I bought a sofa and they delivered it without incident so when it was time for me to move I hired them and there were only a handful of items. 1 Dresser, 2 night tables, metal coffee table, music boxes, antique rocking cradle, artwork and a few more smaller pieces. They broke the whole leg of the dresser completely off. They turned my metal coffee table upside down on a cart without pad and made deep scratches on the top of it. They broke glass in mirrors. The worst of it was me finding a man in dark sunglasses in dark basement chiseling wood from the antique cradle my father made for my son. He was trying to get the screws out and since they were stripped we was prying the wood away around the screw. I literally yelled for him to stop. After all this, the owner offered to take my dresser to some repair guy he knew. Uh no thanks! Still made me pay him!! I have no idea where he found these guys in this particular day but they had zero respect for my things or any knowledge about how to move things in a truck. Horrible!!

They all start and won't stop until the job is completed. Chris also oversees each move and makes sure you are satisfied! He handled my antique furniture well with not a single scratch! We used him again for my daughter and again the prices were reasonable. Please support a local business which does excellent quality work! L&M is indeed Legendary and Monumental in the services they supply!

    First. We were looking for a remodeling of the Kitchen and Master Bathroom. It was planned to do…read moreit in 2020. Then COVID. The time spend as researching, researching, researching. We had several quotes (few in the 6 digits). My husband and I just couldn't agree on which one to choose from. The quotes were either too high or did not on design, and sometimes both. I called STL Design and Build Design, setup an appointment as my last resort. STL Design sent Tom Levinson. Mr. Levinson arrived earlier than time with his assistant. This is definitely a rare. We went through the areas for remodeling. Tom sat me down and listen to all I wanted to do. Then it came down to the details and pricing. The wants an can't live without. We finished with an estimated quote that we were very happy with. Tom was wonderful. He gave me sound advice on my selections for the kitchen remodel. He went through the cost, time-line, and process. Tom went to warehouses with me for selections on the items. Matthew Pevehouse, thank goodness for him. I had a family emergency out-of-state. Matt took care of everything for us. The whole crew were wonderful. Matt took pictures and kept me up to date. If there was an issue it was quickly resolved. My husband and I are thrilled with the results. The look is absolutely fabulous, the craftsmanship and quality of products excellent, and done on time. Thank You STL for a wonderful experience. Bathroom is the next project!
