I had three windows in our house with cracks in them. Only needed the glass replaced. Someone suggested I call Floyd glass and window. I'm glad I did. They sent someone out to give me a bid within two days of me contacting them. The bid was very reasonable. The gentleman who came out let me know it would take about a month to order the glass and get it in stock. They just came and installed the new glass today. They were on time they honored the bid they gave me, they were polite, and did excellent work. I'm no expert on home windows but if I have any need for repairs in the future, they will be my first call. read more

I formerly did business with this company when it was Custom Glass and Mirror. This was the first and last time I will ever do business with them as Floyd Glass. The first of March 2020 I ordered two glass desktops, one standard rectangle and one custom curved top, which I had to pay for in advance. The rectangle was easy enough but the custom top became almost comically nightmarish. The first attempt wasn't even close to fitting. The second time they supposedly sent out their "A" team who made a much better fit but the holes were cut in the wrong place. The third time not much better. Then I did not hear from them for several weeks and I still had no glass. Finally called them and they consented to schedule a new appointment like they were just going to keep my money and leave me without a top. Now we are over two months into this project and well into Covid quarantine with most employees working from home but I took a day to be there and let them in to work. They brought out the equipment and did the finish cut right in the parking lot. Seemed to fit well enough. However, this time they decided it was a better idea to not use the plastic disks under the glass. When I asked the fellows assured me this was a better process. Finally a happy ending. Then, three weeks later the person who works on that desk returned from quarantine, sits down at the desk for the very first time. The moment he touches the desk, one glass panel slides against the other and both corners chip. So I am back on the phone again. This time all I get is the receptionist telling me the owner decided it has been too long so they are not doing anything else for me. 15 weeks! Let me say that again, 15 weeks! $512.52! And all I have for this is a dangerously broken glass top. The rectangle they got in one try. The rest was 5 strikes and they keep my money. My wife came in to get her windshield replaced on her Lexus. We booked an appointment for a specific date and time. They called us 20 minutes PRIOR to our appointment time and informed us their 'tech' was running late. Due to our schedules we had no other choice but to wait the 3 hours for their tech to come in (luckily we are local and didn't head out yet). The entire experience at Floyds was TERRIBLE. The owner, Kathy, did not make us feel welcome and was overall unprofessional towards us. We made some COMPLIMENTARY coffee during our wait and she watched us like a hawk (as if we were going to break her $10 coffee brewer from Walmart). She constantly came over and spoke to us in a condescending manner, as if we didn't know how to work a coffee machine. Overall, they got the job done but the owner's horrible attitude left a nasty taste in our mouths. We will definitely not be back. read more

My experience with Floyd Glass was pretty disappointing, mainly because they decided to not go through with the job after going through the trouble of taking measurements and providing a quote. Rationale for the two stars: 1- they answered my call. 2- they came to my home and took measurements for the job. Apparently a cabinet in the bathroom needed to be retrofit to allow the installation to pass code. I put them in contact with my carpenter to make the necessary changes. They scheduled to meet, but my carpenter had to reschedule. This is when their sales person called me back and just dropped the job. Why are 3 stars missing? 1- they were unable to work with a carpenter to coordinate the work. 2-their sales person (Josh) decided to drop the job 3- I explained I was counting on the shower install, so my father could shower due to his hip surgery but he insisted they couldn't accommodate the job anymore and "they don't have time" for this. This totally left me hanging and having to scramble for an alternative solution. Not even a recommendation of alternative options to go with. It is really dropping the ball on customer care. Josh acted a bit strange and uncaring. Call them at your own risk. read more

Installed mirrors in my private gym. Had a film on mirrors when they arrived. Came back out yo clean them and blamed it on chemicals in floor. However, after they cleaned them, the issue was resolved. Then, when we had a crack in one of the mirrors, not their fault, they said they had no interest in helping since we were the problem with film on mirrors and Justin couldn't have been any more disrespectful to me on the phone. After talking to other mirror companies, they all said Floyd is the worst and has worst reputation!!! Call Barron glass or kirkwood glass if you need help!!!! read more

My husband and I both had cars detailed . They did a fair job. No better than we could do ourselves. I've used detail shops from St. Louis to high end shops on the East Coast . They didnt even touch the interior windows . When I asked for it to be corrected they would not do it. Not worth the money , not a professional job .Go find another place . read more

I recently received interior auto detailing from this company. Overall, their work was good. They worked hard to clean my car, and, honestly, it was pretty dirty. The problem I had is that the interior windshield had so many smears on it. It wasn't cleaned properly. I will say this, they did the hard work that I didn't want to do, and my car looked almost brand new. They are very nice, and I got a good deal. read more

Be very careful when dealing with Floyd Glass. Read the contract WORD FOR WORD!!! You are on your own with this company. They promised a shower in 2 - 3 weeks, the first glass was wrong. They re-ordered the glass. when they came to install they called and stated they could not cut Granite over 1 inch. they notified me to have the Granite cut myself. I was without a shower for 7 weeks! They will not refund my deposit, as they claim I am in the wrong. I told them I would not do business with them in any way and wanted a refund of over $1000. They suggested I pick up my glass and have another company install it. They did offer me a $20 refund. I swear I am not kidding!! Claimed that was all that was left after expenses. I would rather lose over $1000 rather than deal with this company. The good news is, St. Charles glass came out and installed within 10 days, I strongly suggest a major pass on Floyd! read more

Windows were measured at two houses to replace windows with broken seals. Measured assured me that the windows would be installed before Thanksgiving. Received a call in November to schedule installation and, you guessed it, it was for December 14. This morning at 7 am they called and said that it was too cold to install the windows and someone would call at 8 to reschedule. At 1:00 I called and was told that someone would call me back. At 2:40 I called again and, yup you guessed it. Installation can't occur until December 29. Would like the windows installed but hate their poor customer service. Will never use them again and caution you not to use them as well!!!! read more

I had a GroupOn for an interior auto detail, and overall my car interior looks much better. The customer service associates throughout were very helpful and friendly. I also liked that they provided an accurate estimate regarding how long the appointment would take. I took a star off because while my seats look much better, I felt that other areas received less attention. For example, there was still dust on my entire dash. Additionally, my drivers seat was still damp which I noticed as I drove off--I had to pull over and put a towel under me. Overall, though, I was pleased with their work. read more

The window installed in my car has obvious signs of the plastic coming out on both sides of the window. I also had it detailed and I could have done a better job. Still has leaves and other things left behind. I intentionally left a couple things to see if they cleaned it well and they are both still there after it was detailed. I would not return. read more

If you care anything about your car these are not the guys to trust. Quick Overview: Door panel was coming off after a day - pins were put in backwards. Glass was not cleaned out after broken window. Replacement window leaked and STILL leaks. Detail Review: My car was, unfortunately, broken into so I called around immediately to get the glass replaced, this was the only place that could get me in immediately. In hindsight I wish I had found a garage to park in and waited until the dealership was able to get me in but I jumped on their same-day opening. Upon leaving I did not pay much attention to the job, there was a window there...great. As a young woman I didn't realize all that could go wrong in this process and I was in a hurry to get on with my already disrupted day. I do recall driving home and noticing A LOT of window noise I never noticed before but it wasn't until the next morning after getting in and out of my car I noticed a lot of clattering so I actually looked at the door and window and the door panel was not even on all around!! I could SEE the pins, there was a few inch gap where the panel should be flush so I took it back and turns out the pins were put in backwards so the panel was coming off. Also when I took the time to look around I noticed the glass shards STILL IN THE FLOORBOARD. I wish I had not been so frazzled over the break-in and missing time off of work that I paid more attention up front but nevertheless I called back Floyds AGAIN to speak with Justin, the manager and only person I was ever allowed to talk to beyond a receptionist who told me the rattling in the door is glass that they cannot get out and there shouldn't be any on the floor because they vacuum. Trust me, they did not vacuum. I had picked out the large glass pieces so it wasn't extremely apparent but there were glass shards and my car was long overdue for a car wash so it was CLEAR they did NOT put any attention into vacuuming the floorboards. The rattling glass in the door I was told by Justin will just work its way out over time, many people I have spoken with call BS but I don't really know what truth there is to this unfortunately BUT THAT'S NOT ALL.... So I went to get this much needed car wash only to find this window also leaks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this point, my blood is boiling. I have spent $275.... almost $100 OVER the quoted price of many other reputable companies to get this done the day it was broken and I'm already unimpressed to say the least so again I call Justin at Floyds. At this point I do not trust Floyds is able to do the job but above and beyond that I do not want anyone working on my car who is going to treat it with such little care. I just handed you the keys to my $30k baby, I would appreciate you treat my car as I would my own (if I knew how to replace it myself ). Justin tells me they will again adjust the window, they cannot/will not give me any refund because they have done work so I after a long conversation with Justin I agree to allow Floyds to again take apart and re-adjust the window to fit WITH HIM (JUSTIN) THERE. He said they would come to me this time and he would call me back with a time they (Justin & a tech) will be there. (I made it clear I was only agreeing to this because he, the manager, would be overseeing this). Two hours later I did not hear back from Justin, I called Floyds and the receptionist knew nothing about the situation and told me Justin was at lunch...... imagine my surprise. Only moments later I receive a call telling me a tech is on his way shortly, I asked if Justin was also with him but they did not know and I never heard from Justin again. The tech was very kind man who spent about 45 minutes working on the window and testing it with water only to tell me "This was as good as it is going to get" and that he doesn't know what else to do. It was hard to tell with the eye and even with water-testing it sitting parked if it had really been fixed. I told him word for word "As good as it's going to get is NOT good enough".... he agreed & understands but said he did not know what to do... I don't know anything about replacing car windows so I have no idea what went wrong here but it is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE that I have a window on my car that is now only "as good as it's going to get'. I took the car through a car wash after he left and it is MUCH better than the first time but it is still dribbling in water in one place (close to front, where the window gets shorter) whereas it was there AND badly running in towards the back top edge. I never again heard from Justin or any manager from Floyds after the technician left and still haven't. You would think after all this someone would want to check on the status or at least as courtesy make a call... I have never experienced such awful service or repair anywhere in my life. Lesson Learned unfortunately and I NEVER recommend Floyds to anyone read more

I have nothing but praise for Floyd Glass. We chose them to replace the windshield in my car because they had the lowest price in St. Charles county, so that was brownie point number 1. My husband called to make the appointment and they agreed to come in an hour early to do the replacement so that I would not be too late for work. I don't know if they do this frequently, but I certainly appreciated them accommodating my schedule. I was promptly greeted upon arrival, offered coffee, and shown to their comfortable waiting room complete with free wifi. Best of all, they finished the installation in less than 45 minutes. All in all, outstanding customer service. Needless to say, they will continue to get my business in the future. read more

We contracted with Floyd Glass on 6/7/18 to install an exterior French door leading from our house to the patio. The door was installed in July. When it was installed it was warped, the workmanship was atrocious and it was a visual nightmare. Floyd then came out to "repair" the door, which largely consisted of their installer beating on the door jam and hardware with a hammer and screwdriver, which did nothing to solve the closure problem but split the door jam. I asked him to stop beating on the hardware since it was obvious that the problem was the warped door, which needed to be replaced. Subsequently, I spoke with one of the owners, Josh, who was insulting, arrogant and totaling uncaring about the defective product and workmanship. He told me that all door openings are not plumb and that it is impossible to get any door installed "plumb." He took the position that my wife and I were the problem since we expected too much in requesting the door fit properly. Knowing I would never get satisfaction - only insults - from Josh, I asked to talk to his Mother, Kathy, also an owner of the business. He told me there was no way I could speak with her. I told Josh that unless they rectified the problem, I would probably seek legal recourse. The next day Kathy called and said they wanted us to be satisfied and asked for a chance to make this right. I agreed to have her supervisor look at the door and determine what to do. The supervisor looked at the door and agreed that it was defective. They ordered another door which, a few weeks later, also arrived warped. They decided not to install that door and ordered another one. The third door was installed a few weeks later and was misfit to the opening, did not seal properly and had to be shoved in order to close it. At this point, I demanded to have a manufacturer's rep look at the door - something I had been requesting for months. Ultimately the manufacturer's rep looked at the door and in three minutes concluded that it too was warped. The manufacturer then ordered and installed the replacement door. Though this door is better than the others, it is still not flush to the opening. The manufacturer's rep stated that the door will never fit properly because the jamb was never properly installed by Floyd. Though we are still very unhappy, we are at a loss as to what to do next. We contacted Floyd a month ago to have some items completed, such as hardware and painting of the unfinished door and jambs. Floyd told us that they will longer do any work on the door - that we have to contact the manufacturer for any further wok. As to the painting, which was on the original order, we anticipated paying an additional $250.00 upon completion. Though we have contacted them a number of times to schedule this work, they consistently have failed to respond to us as to if/when this work will be completed. We have essentially wasted $3,000.00 and seven months later have a defective, crooked, unpainted door. read more

I really wanted to love this place, because Tiffany was so nice and helpful! But the car detailing we got for our 2 cars was absolutely TERRIBLE. We each bought the Living Social deals for around $50 (laughably with a retail cost of over $100), but I'm honestly not sure what they did. I must admit that my car was relatively clean to begin with, but I knew it needed to be vacuumed. I also saw beforehand that there were a couple small spots on the seats and some dust on the dashboard. To my disappointment, the spots on the seats and the dust on the dashboard were still there. There were even crumbs still on the carpet, so I don't think they vacuumed. The floor mats were a little wet, so I'm guessing they spent an hour just shampooing them (even though they were stain-free)? I was very excited about getting this done and took the day off of work to do it since they are closed on the weekends. But I was extremely disappointed, especially since the reviews had gotten my hopes up. We both have cracked windshields and received a quote to get them fixed. It was a very reasonable estimate, but after seeing how bad the detail jobs were, we will be going somewhere else to get our windshields fixed! read more

On September 14th, I purchased a Groupon for auto detailing for 2 cars at Floyd Glass and Window. I purchased these offers because I have previously had good service at Floyds. I am giving a poor review, however, because when I called this morning (2 weeks later) to make my appointments, I learned that Floyds no longer does auto detailing. Instead, the business is offering a discount on windows/siding and other home repair services. I feel like this is bait and switch given the extremely short period from purchasing the Groupon and trying to use the Groupon. I am disappointed. read more

My property is out at Innsbrook, I took off work to meet their employee for measurements. He said I would have my bid early Monday morning. I called Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Finally the receptionist said after talking to Justin they would not be able to do the job. Said the slope of the lot was the reason. I clean my own windows, slope is absolutely not an issue. They will never get a referral from us again as the customer service was the worst I have ever seen. The owner promises the world and then delivers nothing. Called Floyd's to have a windshield replaced and was pleased with the good price. The work was done and there was a problem with wind noise but they worked on it until the issue was resolved. I have a Honda Ridgeline which it turns out is prone to wind noise issues. Overall they did good work and in the end spent a lot of time to make sure everything was right. BEWARE!!!! BEWARE!!!! Used a groupon to have my car's interior detailed and exterior waxed. Quality of work was only fair. I could have done a better job myself. Windshield was smudgy and many crumbs remained in the nooks and crannies. I chose to ignore their tacky "tip suggestion" chart and tipped according to quality of the work done. When I got in my car to leave, I realized that the knobs for the electronic sideview mirrors were missing!! Of course, the detail guy and the owner denied denied denied. Meanwhile we had to show our house to 7 potential buyers with a broken seal because of their delay. No discount given and customer service was unbelievably awful. This company seems to excel in windows and doors. I came in for an auto detail. My car was filthy with three messy children. They had quite an uphill battle with the interior. Unfortunately I had to send it back twice as they did a pretty terrible job. It was apparent they missed a good deal of the cleaning. To their credit they acknowledged they did a poor job and did their best to keep cleaning the pieces they missed. As I was leaving the parking lot my check engine light came on. I went inside to let them know that something might have been done during the cleaning to cause this. I asked them to please acknowledge that something might have happened which they did verbally. The CFO told me that they would help me if they did something to hurt the car. The problem is they would not put that in writing. They refused to back up their words. They were very nice when I came in and began the service but they clammed up and got defensive when something went wrong. It really shows bad character when you will say that you will help fix a problem they created but are unwilling to write that down. Very disappointing. I would not recommend them for auto detailing, and would be very leery of other services if they are not willing to back up their word. You could be left hanging. read more
