Explained my project and was told it was not big enough for them to even come out for an estimate. Money hungry company!

Home addition, two bedrooms two bathrooms and garage . Existing finished basement flooded twice during construction and after construction was finished flooded again in heavy rain. Their proposed warranty work was unsatisfactory. Proposed work was caulking from the inside on a foundation crack which appeared after front porch was replaced . I enjoyed working with Lakeside. We had a project at our home that required the coordination of several contractors as well as a city permit. While the process as a whole wasn't easy (the city permit's fault, not Lakeside's!), Lakeside stuck with us and our project over months of back-and-forth to get all the puzzle pieces in place. Lakeside doesn't produce "just" good quality craftsmanship. They made the whole journey of our construction project enjoyable, stress-free with outstanding results. Our goal was to update the exterior of our 1967 dark ranch home into a bright, inviting farmhouse-style, similar to those transformed on HGTV's show Fixer Upper. Lakeside used state-of-the-art design software to craft design elements that we expressed for our home and front porch remodel. When we sat down to look at the 3-D renderings, we were blown away with the visual presentation making it much easier for us to imagine living in our very-own transformed dream home. They were so gracious when we added new concepts to the home design. Never complaining when we requested a change. Their goal was to help us love living in the home we had been in for 10 years. Never pushy, salesy or rude, everyone we encountered along the way from the start including the owners, made us feel welcome and gave us top notch customer service. When the project commenced, the many crews we encountered were respectful and great with our two elementary-aged boys who were always asking them questions. They were cautious around our two friendly dogs who like to run under trucks, showed up on time, always picked up after themselves, asked for our input when the design appropriately called for it. Lakeside was respectful of our neighbors and traffic flow within our subdivision. They hire such good-natured, ethical and God-loving employees, it is a joy to be around such kind people who care for their craft. The week our project was finishing up, Matthew, our project manager made a house call to make sure all of the paint was touched up in spots we liked and nothing was left unfinished to our approval. We would definitely recommend Lakeside and have already to our friends and neighbors. Great crew! They were very friendly & really cared about their work .They do excellent work.

This has been such a frustrating experience - awful, inconsistent communication; many days where no one shows up to work without explanation; terrible quality (for example the glass shower door installers realized they could not install the doors because the work crew never grouted the shower threshold so it was unstable); doing not even the bare minimum without any communication between work groups or homeowners. Some days we had three people working really hard, other days we had a 14 year old girl and her mom doing the painting, sometimes we had weeks at a time where no one showed up and nothing was said about when they would return. It is bewildering and maddening how unprofessional and incompetent they continue to be. We signed on for a month long bathroom renovation and we are well into our third month with no end in sight. I would very much recommend a different company, hiring them was a mistake I will never make again! read more

This is a great siding company. Very helpful design staff. Construction crew were very professional and offered a number of good suggestions. The installation, trim and fit are excellent. Finished product is beautiful. They used a sub contractor for gutters and leaf relief. The leaf relief product didn't work as advertised. We weren't happy with the installation either. Lakeside offered to make it right, but gave me a full refund when I decided to have Leaf Guard gutters installed. Can't get any better than that. Two owners (brothers) very involved in the business. Our condo association contracted with Lakeside to reside four 30 year old buildings. They subcontracted all of the work. First, they showed up with the wrong siding, which does not match the siding that we're supposed to be keeping. Then, the first group they subcontracted with partially tore apart the first of four buildings and left in the middle of the day to NEVER RETURN. Our family left town in May for a week and came back to the building in the same exact condition. We are now three months into what Lakeside told us would be a "quick" residing project, with no end in sight. Whomever they subcontract with will appear for one day and then disappear for weeks on end with our buildings torn apart with no siding. They refuse to update us and actually commit to a date they anticipate finishing the project. They might be great for a single homeowner, but I would NOT recommend them for a larger project such as ours. I'm very disappointed with the wasted time and money. read more

We called Lakeside Exteriors for a second project on our home because they did such a fine job with our siding. Last fall we replaced every window except one in the house with double-hung fiberglass Marvin Infinity windows and the difference this past winter was extreme. Not only were we warmer, but the noise reduction from outside is definitely noticeable! In fact, this past winter there was a noticeable temperature drop and draft in front of the one old window that we thought we could keep because it had been recently replaced by the previous homeowner. We are now planning to replace that window this year with a new one from Lakeside. After receiving window quotes from multiple vendors, some of whom were less than professional, we decided to once again trust Lakeside and they did not disappoint. From our salesman Tim to the office staff--and even the owner, who showed us the windows in the showroom-- everyone was helpful, polite and generous with their time. In fact, since we wanted to see what the windows looked like installed, we were directed to an employee's home where we were able to see first hand both the interior and the exterior profiles of the windows, not to mention the actual operation. Lakeside is the place to go for customer service and excellent products. Call them--you will not be disappointed! read more

Lakeside Exteriors completely resided our house with Hardie siding. The whole process was seamless from start to finish. Tim came to our house to create an estimate and walk us through everything we needed to know about the process. He also provided an extensive list of referrals, several of which we knew and subsequently recommended Lakside as well. They started the work ahead of their promised date and showed up everyday until the work was completed. During the process, we decided to do some remodeling at one end of the house. Lakeside was very accommodating and left that area protected until we did the work. They came right back out to finish the work as soon as we called them. The quality was fantastic. Eugene was our crew lead and his team did an excellent job. All the cuts were perfect and they installed flashing everywhere! The house looks awesome and we are so satisfied to know its covered with Hardie siding and trim. read more

From the moment I called for an estimate to the end of the entire process, everything was handled professionally and exceptionally. We were made aware and comfortable about what we were getting into, there were no surprises along the way and what few and minor issues I came up with were handled promptly and properly. We are completely satisfied. The work crew was polite, professional and courteous. They built protection around our landscaping and even put a warning sign up to protect a warren of bunnies they found in our yard. My wife and I are very pleased. read more

I would not recommend this company. We signed a contract with them to replace the crossheads on most of our windows and the columns and wood portions of our front porch with fiberglass in March. We gave them a down payment at that time. They said they would start work in June and it would probably take a week. June came and went. July came and went. The excuse was the wrong columns were sent. Communication was very poor. They sent out people in late August at our insistence that at least they could do the crossheads. They would work for a half day and would not come back for days. They began work on the porch after Labor Day on the same type of schedule. Then they said they had not ordered enough material for the wrap around of the porch roof. Many days passed with no work being done. Meanwhile a large pile of trash was left on the lawn since the beginning of the work and various tools and equipment was left also. The job was finally finished by the end of September. We sent them a check but somehow they never got it so we had to put a stop payment on it (which cost us money) and reissue the check. The whole experience was a nightmare. read more
