That brings me here. In this case, I had three negative experiences with the same company--making the appointment and at my arrival. The Phone Appointment: The agent was challenging to understand. Her end had a lot of static, and she spoke very softly. This was not the interaction of a caring representative but rather very scripted. In the end, she made the appointment for me. Reminder Texts: Way, way too many automated texts before my appointment - for a simple rock chip. In-Person Experience: We arrived, went inside, and an employee asked why we were there. She had an arrogant persona with the warmth of a snowpea. It was almost as if she was irritated because we were there for something small versus a big-dollar repair. Both of my kids took notice of her attitude. She spent about 7 seconds looking at the area of concern before telling us that the damage was too minor to repair. She quickly went back into the building without saying anything to us. Gosh... I guess we will see ourselves out. We have several vehicles. I'll remember this experience for next time, but we will not consider Safelite in any circumstance.

I've heard most times this recalibration is not needed, but if it turns out it IS needed, you'd have to take it somewhere else at a cost of $250-$700, or as much as $1,000 at a dealership! No thank you! Especially after the already expensive windshield! My tech was Kyle and, boy, was he sharp! When he arrived he told me it would take around an hour, I believe he finished the windshield installation, recalibration and cleanup in around 30 minutes - no small feat for my big Honda Odyssey on his own - and returned from the test drive in under 10 minutes. It was easy to pay with any type of credit card, even AmEx, and all told I think it was about 40 minutes. The owner, Steve, was a pleasure to talk to, as was Kyle, A couple of easygoing guys. I definitely made the right choice! And, if ever I have the need again, I will probably only be putting out a call for one quote ... from MasterTech.

I had initially scheduled an appointment with them to service my own car around the end of 2023. I had some scheduling conflicts and had to cancel my appointment. I tried to follow up with them to reschedule via text, I got no response. Fast forward to June of this year, I called their listed phone number a few times and got no answer. I finally got a response from them when I reached out via email. The owner stated that they would not service me due to my prior cancellation, which I was very disappointed to hear. It was almost like they were intentionally not answering my calls, and when I asked if the owner could please reconsider I was yet again ignored! A direct answer or formal disclaimer would have been much appreciated during the time of my initial cancelled appointment so I wouldn't have wasted my time! I was pretty surprised they refused to service to me, as I believed I gave enough notice ahead of time and wanted to reschedule my initial appointment. S*** happens! Sometimes people have to cancel appointments and reschedule. I feel like they didn't communicate any disclaimer/warning about cancellations whatsoever. I hope going forward they alert clients about this policy as it was extremely unprofessional. Or maybe ask for a percentage of the fee as an initial deposit to hold your appointment date?
