Their new location is next to Teahouse off of Bellaire and the parking is fairly small, but the old location was located in a strip mall. Just thinking of it brings back old memories of how I used to spend hours in getting my eyes checked out and how many glasses I've been through since then. Such good memories. Now, Dr. Yee is rarely seen here. His daughter runs the family business and trust me she does it very well. I've known her since she was a little girl and now she's a beautiful grown lady. She loves to talk and will help you choose the best looking glasses that have you looking professional in a good way. Before I came here with my mum because I needed new glasses (because the other glasses I had misplaced and couldn't find) we were immediately greeted and she helped us find a pair of cute glasses for me. The ones I chose for myself my mum and her helped me figure out the best ones because apparently I chose ugly ones. (Bad taste lol) I came back here today because last night my glasses had broke when I was laying in the bed. I came here and told the girl at the desk what happened and no questions asked she took my glasses and started working on them. Dr. Yee daughter was talking to me as time flew she asked me about how school was coming and how my mum was. She is always happy to see me and as well I am too. The girl who fixed my glasses repaired them to perfection and it was under no charge. I also get my contacts here too, but recently I've been just wearing my glasses instead of my contacts. Honestly, I love their new location its much more spacious on the inside and they don't have carpet which at the other location they did and I don't like carpet. I will keep coming back to this optometrist

I didn't have to wait in waiting room all day, and staff was friendly and professional. I'd recommend anyone to use Dr Yee. She was very reasonably priced too! Very nice experience

Wait time is ridiculous! With the average age of the patients being at least 70 years old, waiting…read morefor 3 hours is overkill. This is a human based business let's not over-schedule to make more money. The doctors are good surgeons, the office staff is hit or miss. They come to the edge of the overcrowded, not enough seats, waiting area and then whisper, may patients are hard of hearing, both patient names (first and last) which I think is a HiPPA violation. After they dilate your eyes they throw you back in the over-lit, overcrowded waiting room. This is not OK.

I am reading so many reviews that are low due to office wait times. Having grown up going to…read moreophthalmologists from childhood, I am used to waiting when arriving for an appointment. My experience is the same for most medical specialists I have seen. Specialists are busy and have lots of moving pieces in their practice that are unexpected and cannot be scheduled ahead of time. Specialists perform surgeries and skilled procedures that often are unpredictable. All it takes is one of the pieces to not move as it should and it sets off a chain reaction for all of the others in their day. There are post-surgical and urgent care issues that arise with their patients which have to be worked into an already full appointment schedule of patients. You don't have these kinds of situations as much with a primary care physician, but I sure have with any surgeon I see. Dr. Koop, his front and back staff, as well as, the surgical coordinator is swamped every day with full waiting rooms, emergency phone calls, etc and I think they handle it with grace and a pleasant demeanor. I have always had my questions and concerns addressed to my satisfaction and phone calls have been returned in a timely manner, as well. This is an experienced and well-run eye practice that you can trust to care for your sight.

I have been going to this optometrist for at least 7 years. The office is located in new Chinatown…read moreand serves a mostly Asian and Latino population. Staff is fluent in Chinese and customer service is good. They have cleaned the nose pads (glasses-wearers know they get nasty!) and tightened screws of my glasses for free. The optometrist is nice and honest. I have asked him about rigid gas permeable vs soft contact lenses as well as glasses/contacts vs eyeball surgery. I wore RGPs for years and they irritated my eyes so I stopped wearing contacts for many years. He let me try out soft lenses for free. I eventually ordered a set (6 month or 12 month supplies available) and would have liked a little more patient ed about how to wear them and removing them. They are usually open Mon - Sat around 10:30-11 am until 6-6:30 pm. However, they were closed for like a week or two this past summer without much explanation. I called ahead and the answering message didn't say anything so I showed up before their closing time and the shop was closed without sign or any explanation. I stopped by a few days later while in the neighborhood and they were still closed, this time with a sign on their door noting their schedule for the following week. So I took off a star for that.

Been going here for like 6-7 years now. My lenses works wonders. Good customer service; fluent in…read moreboth Chinese, English, and Cantonese. Must of the customers are Asian. What annoys me is that they don't wipe down their instruments beforehand.
