My first visit here was kind of weird, but I can understand that because I came in a bit before they were closing. I immediately fell in love with a pair of black frames and said I'd be back. On my second visit, the staff was exceedingly friendly. I didn't feel too bad for trying on so many glasses. Tuyen was especially helpful and proceeded to tell me every little detail I needed to know about each pair, and when I asked, "How do these frames look?" she gave me her honest opinion in a very mannered way. Before having them make my lenses we did a vision test and it turned out that my optometrist had given me a prescription that made me feel very dizzy. They were very patient with me as we tried to sort it out, and the optometrist at beechnut optical offered to check my eyes there and then and issue me a new prescription. Although there was a little bump in the process because of my original optometrist, they took care of me and I love my new glasses. The prices are more reasonable than the Vision Source I normally go to and the hours are better since they close at 7 PM. I highly recommend coming here. They make you feel less like a patient and more like a person.

I don't often write reviews especially a bad reviews, but this place is the most dishonest…read moreophthalmologist office that I have ever been to. To be clear, I have only spoken to the receptionists and not the doctor. I took my son in September 2024 for an annual eye exam and contact lenses fitting. He received the prescription for daily contacts which he wore over a year without any issues. We requested weekly contacts to save on the cost. My son tried the weekly contacts for over 2 months thinking he needs times for his eyes to adjust to the new contacts since they are a different brand but it was still uncomfortable for him. On 12/14, we contacted the office to see if they can provide another prescription with different brand or provide a sample so my son can test it out. The receptionist stated she will leave a message for the doctor and she'll give us a call back. The receptionist also stated they can email us the prescription. Never received a call back from the doctor. Then on 12/17 afternoon, we received a call back from another receptionist. This receptionist stated my son needs to come in for another exam because he reported his vision is blurry. I ask to do a 3 way call with my son so that we can clarify because that is not what he told me. We did 3 way calls and he stated the weekly contacts are very uncomfortable and it causes his vision to be blurry if he wears it for a while. When that happens, he closes his eyes and his vision is back to normal. He clarifies that he can see clearly with the weekly contacts. The issue is only when it's uncomfortable to his eyes. I thought the receptionist understood what he said, but I guess not because I received another call in the evening. This time is a different receptionist and she said my son needs to come in for a fitting. I ask if there is a charge for this visit and it took her time to answer yes. I ask why is he needing another fitting. She states the doctor needs to examine his eyes again. I ask why when he just had an exam in September. She stated it's their policy when it's over 2 months. I refuse to take my son back in especially this place for another eye exam when he clearly said the weekly contacts are not very comfortable. It's the brand of weekly contacts that does not work for him. Instead, this office insists that he needs to come in. All they want is to charge for another visit. At this point, I just want the office to send me the prescription with the results from the September exam and the receptionist hesitated. The morning receptionist (Karla) came on the phone and stated she recorded my son's conversation and he said the daily and weekly contacts caused his vision to be blurry. That was not what he said because I was on the phone when we did a 3 way call. I strongly suggest they listen to the conversation again if they recorded it and really listen to what the patient is saying!!! This is the first and last time I will go to this place. I would rate this place with a negative if I could.

This office had struggled to verify my insurance, despite my personal ability to verify both with my medical and with my vision that I have coverage. Two days before my appointment, the doctor herself called me to say that I was covered, and that the cost was $15 for glasses plus the cost of contact lenses. What does that make you think? I thought my visit was covered. When I went to check out, I was told I owed $75. When I asserted that there had been quite a bit of back-and-forth about this and that the exam was supposed to be completely covered - the doctor came out to argue that the cost for the glasses portion of the EXAM was $15 and the cost of the contact PRESCRIPTION (not the lenses themselves) $60. This is intentionally misleading and she should be ashamed of herself. Under no circumstances will I ever return there.

I've had complications at other offices in the past, but the staff here was incredibly empathetic; they took the time to truly listen to my concerns and worked patiently with me and my insurance to make sure everything was handled.  The doctor was phenomenal--professional, informative, and never made me feel rushed. He conducted a very thorough examination, explaining every step as he went and providing clear options and reassurance. He was particularly concerned about my eye health when he realized I was overdue for a fresh pair of contacts, and he even provided sample lenses to ensure I stayed safe from infection until my order arrived.  What really set this visit apart was the human element. It felt like having a conversation with a real person about family, sports, and life. You just don't see this level of sincere, high-quality service anymore.
