Dan Berkenkotter Was trying to pass a 'fast one' by saying a Chevy truck has "some paint work" done but instead it was major body work and heavy damage repair. I found the truck sold at action for approx. $33k and they were trying to sell it for over $57k. When I asked about the "some paint work" and showed action pictures, good 'ol Dan just replies with "wow". What a muppet! Avoid this place based upon the other reviews I've seen too. I'm a female in the market for a small pickup truck for my lawn care business. First off, my husband refuses to deal with any dealership and will only use a broker based on past experiences. Knowing his feelings I decided to go on my own (if I asked he would have gone with me). But I think I'm pretty educated when it comes to older vehicles and know what I'm looking for and how to handle people. So I felt confident in going by myself. I'll tell you it was the best experience I've ever had with a dealership. No hassle. No hovering. No questions. No intimidation. No pushiness. All the things I associate with car dealerships. Val was great! I called the day before to make sure the truck was there because it's 50 miles away from me. When I got there I was handed the keys and told to take a look and to take it for a drive and let him know what I thought. It was great not to be treated as a 'female'. Val was great and I'd work with this dealership again and specifically work with him. The truck ended up not working for what I needed it for but I'm sure it'll work perfect for someone else. Do not buy a car here. Bought a used Jaguar from them just a month ago; didn't mentioned any issues with the vehicle and was told many times it was a great car. After two days I noticed some coolant leaking so, I took it in for some maintenance work, and this is what they found- oil, anti freeze, coolant all leaking all over & with the sensors all unplugged to take it off the dash!! Tires with gashes in them, and bent wheels. So unsafe. My auto body shop is literally in shock they sold this car to me, putting my girlfriend at risk every single day. The radiator and the whole front held together with a chain by one bolt. A totally unsafe vehicle. Ask for a refund and I get told that's not how the vehicle looked when we got it and would not make the situation right. Absolutely insane, they knew exactly what they were doing when they sold this to me. I would avoid this place unless you wanna be out $15k and done dirty by a bad business. Enjoy the auto fraud lawsuit coming your way. EDIT: in response to mikes response- Mike, respectfully, all of that is not true. The accident is literally a tiny fender bender (hit from the rear; minor cosmetics; being repaired by a corporate body shop) would you like pictures? and would absolutely NOT result in these pictures Provided. How does that validate the whole front being held up with a chain ? Second, I did not receive a follow up call a week later, and i didn't ask for a trade in, I asked for every penny back to look for a different vehicle. Third, a clean CarFax simply means an accident wasn't reported. It was a rental car and a theft recov vehicle , which goes unreported many a times. Have you seen those pictures? Clearly that accident was unreported with that sort of "repair work" Being done on it. The kicker is, I've already called and gotten a statement from the previous owner and they confirmed that indeed the car was wrecked and "repaired" incorrectly. My time line and case is adding up. It's only a matter of time before I present a case. Mike, we didn't even speak yesterday. I'd love for you to actually call me and we can talk in person, or I can talk to the owner. Came to look at a truck they had for sale, drive 50 minutes one way from centennial to take a look to be told they sold it a day prior, with no mention to me it was no longer available. My boyfriend purchased a vehicle from these people like three years ago and it was a truck F150. We noticed The muffler was cut off when we got home and we had to take it back to them as it failed the emission. They fixed it and put it muffler on, but I feel like it was a red flag. We found out like a half a year later that the catalytic converter's were failing on it. Not even !! 6 months !!later. I was with him when he bought it the owner is incorrect. Just bc he is upset about what I wrote he has to take an offense. I'm not the only one who is not satisfied with your business or practices. It's evident from the reviews and Cars should last more then three years or a 2007 with under 200k miles on them. The engine went out and I called to see if his warranty was so good because I had expired two weeks !! ago and asked if they could extend it or anything and they said no there's nothing we can do. I would not recommend this dealership at all because I think they could've extended some effort for selling a car that had turned out to be a lemon. I would never trade in a car with you either sorry you lost our business. Also, the warranty literally expired a week ago and they offered to do nothing when it was only a week past!!! I feel like they knew about some of the problems, and they did not disclose it to us and this is just cause more of a headache. They have bad business practices!! Spent a whole day searching for a vehicle. It started at Berkenkotter and it took me all the way down to Parker and BACK to Berkenkotter in Brighton. It was worth it. They took my trade and got me in a top of the line truck with a low monthly payment and not "an arm and a leg" down payment. The manager is good to work with and is very nice. My experience was just wonderful! I checked out a Dodge Ram 1500 online and made sure that I did my research then checked out the truck in person. Since it was an older truck, I wanted my mechanic to check it out too on a lift. The staff here at Berkenkotter were accommodating and friendly having no problem with my request. Bought the truck after I had it checked out and it didn't pass emissions. Once again, the staff completely took care of getting it through emissions (which is CO law). Truck is happy, I am happy and now my horse will be happy since he gets to travel off property. Thank you Greg and Daniel for working out the issues! read more

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. This dealership is nothing but crooks. We purchased a 2007 F350 and have put more money into it than we paid for it. That's after paying for their 2000.00 warranty that isn't worth the paper it's written on. They should not even be allowed to be in the auto dealership business. If you are contemplating buying from them beware of their sales tactics and take it to a mechanic to have it completely checked out, and then still beware! read more
