I chose this spot because of the amazing reviews on Yelp and it was in my BCBS network. It's located off PIB hidden in this office area plaza. At first I was confused on where it was located but you make that turn and then go up the Hill and it's right there ahead. Go inside the building and it's located on the same floor right door. First of all, the gorgeous ladies in the front desk are so nice and sweet and helpful. It's a breath of fresh air compared to some other doctors offices I been to. Having nice ladies with great customer service in the front is always a great experience. Their dental hygienist Lily Pham is such a pleasure. She makes you feel like she really cares about you and your teeth's health. She will use a skinny tool to measure your gum health. It kinda hurts if your gums had inflammation, with that tool, the lower score you get the better. All that aside, the deep cleaning was a game changer. After wards my teeth felt so clean and I feel way more confident!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Very professional and clean office. From scheduling the appointment to getting the procedure done was very precise but fast. There was absolutely no issues. I had fallen and chipped my front tooth the day before. Right away I got my xrays done and the doctor diagnosed the problem. Dr Huynh was awesome. He quickly told me I needed a Root canal and crown & started my treatment the next day. I didn't have insurance, so I was nervous about the price. Fortunately they give a good price for cash patients. So I was very lucky! Everyone was really nice and friendly and helped educate me on what needed to be done. I am very thankful that they got me in when they did, they really put their patients first. It looks like a brand new tooth and I am very satisfied with it. I called first thing in the morning and the folks at Berkeley Lake were able to get me in that morning! The staff was amazing, friendly and nice, and got me in to see the dentist within 10min of checking in. The tooth was in bad shape and will need to have a crown. The dentist was kind enough to file down the sharp edges to make it more comfortable until my insurance kicks in... If you are in need of a dentist, these folks are the real deal... I've been going to Berkeley Lake Dental since I moved to Atlanta. Best dentist office in Atlanta area (period). Everyone is so friendly. Dentist always ensure everything is pain free. I can say that because he has pulled a wisdom tooth, completed root canal, filling and a tooth implant. I have never felt any pain. I'm also super dramatic so this means alot coming from me. My dental hygienist is also the absolute best. Very gentle with cleanings and super funny. Bonus they are open on Saturdays which is rare in Atlanta. Lastly, I have never experienced surprise charges at the end of the visit. I go in knowing exactly what I am financially responsible for. read more

I've never appreciated an office who takes advantage of their customers. I've been seeing Dr. Huynh for about two years now. Initially, it was very easy to realize that their costs were inflated. But I liked the staff, so I overlooked what may turn other people away. Yesterday, I sent my girlfriend in for a root canal procedure. We had purchased the $500 insurance that this office offers, so I sent my girlfriend (in faith) to have the procedure done. AFTER the "30% discount" from their insurance, the total still came out to $2,100! Although I was paying for it, not once was I notified before the procedure or before payment on the cost. When the office was asked how they could take advantage of the situation like this, their response was, "she signed the paper". I believe this office does not have a standard cost for their procedures, and will charge more if they believe their patients have money. Don't trust them, get a second opinion, and then choose from one of the other 200+ dental offices in the state. Edit: Also, in the past 24 hours, I've gotten quoted between $900-$1250 from 4 other dental offices for the same procedure without having their insurance. Not shopping around was my fault. Going to the dentist has never been one of my favorites, until now. From the moment I walked in until I left was the most pleasant experiences I have ever had at a dental office. The front desk staff immediately greeted me when I walked in to get me started. The hygienist was so friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed talking to him. I can tell he clean my teeth well because he took his time and even showed me the proper way to floss. Dr. Huynh was just nothing but amazing. I had to get a root canal, crown and 4 wisdom teeth extraction. He gave me his undivided attention throughout and constantly asked me how am I feeling? He is now the only dentist that I trust. In a sea of four and five star reviews, I hate to be the odd one out. However, my dental cleaning here was so painful. My eyes were watering, I was sweating, and seconds felt like agonizing minutes. I've never had a painful teeth cleaning until I came to Berkeley Lake Dental. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months, and I practice good oral hygiene. When I politely mentioned the discomfort, the hygienist said my gums were swollen and that I should make sure I floss twice daily to ensure good gum health. I don't remember the name of my hygienist, but I believe she needs to be trained on how to have a gentler hand when cleaning other people's teeth. The staff was nice and the office is clean and beautiful, but after that one experience, I won't be back. I literally shudder at the thought of having my teeth cleaned again here. read more

Going to the dentist always make me nervous. I finally came here after multiple recommendations from friends, along with extensive online research for wisdom teeth extraction. When researching, don't look up dry sockets like I did. Yikes. Anyway, I noticed that Berkeley Lake has new patient forms available online. Yes! You get to save some time and complete them prior to your appointment. Dr. Huynh and his staff did an excellent job to ensure that I was comfortable. Completely numbed up and ready to go, he cracked and removed all four of my wisdom teeth. I experienced some swelling as per usual, but very, very minimal pain later in the day and the following. I didn't even touch the pain medication that was prescribed. *two thumbs up*. He even gave me a call later to see how I was doing and scheduled a follow-up visit a week after extraction. I chipped my two front teeth when I was about 10yrs old and since then I have been struggling with getting them fixed (I'll be 28 in September). I have had bad experience after bad experience, ranging from very yellow bonding to developing a lisp due to ill-fitting bonding. The final attempt left my teeth vulnerable to bacteria and I was told they were starting to decay. After an internal struggle, I realized I needed to get this done one more time. As you can imagine, I developed a slight phobia and a major distrust of dentists. I did my research and after looking at reviews, I settled on Dr. Huynh and I'm glad I did. He and his staff are very warm and inviting; they made me feel welcome and at ease and I found myself relaxing in his chair. I decided to brighten my entire smile, so I got a Deep Cleaning, Bleaching and ultimately two crowns for my two front teeth. Everyone made sure the procedures were as painless as possible and I now have a visibly whiter smile. Now I think a trustworthy review is one that acknowledges the "bad" stuff as well, so I will say that I made 6 appointments with the Dentist and all 6 times, I was called to see if I could re-adjust the time I came in. I understand if appointments are cancelled or they go faster than expected and I appreciate the opportunity to move my appointment earlier. However when I said that I preferred the afternoon time due to work, I got the impression it was almost a burden for them to keep that time. This is hardly a big deal but since this happened for every appointment I made with them, I felt it needed to be mentioned. As far as pricing, everything in life now seems to be expensive and I'm not really sure where he stands versus other Dentists, since I've never gotten any of these exact procedures before. Per my recollection, Deep cleaning was about $250 per each side (4 sides); Bleaching with take-home treatment was $300 and the crowns were almost $2K. However, Dr. Huynh was very helpful with getting my insurance to help pay and for that I am very grateful. Overall, I am very pleased with the Dentist's performance and etiquette. He actually listened to what I wanted and was quick to bring me in for any issues that came up. I feel like I can show my smile with pride and I recommend Dr. Huynh to anyone who has had issues with other dentists in the past. read more

Dr. Huynh is honestly the best dentist I've ever had, and I've had my fair share. You can tell right away that he genuinely cares for his patients. I had two of my impacted wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Huynh last week. He and his staff made me feel so comfortable and well taken care off. I was able to heal really fast with virtually no pain and minimal swelling. Thank goodness Dr. Huynh was nice enough to squeeze me in to his busy schedule right before Christmas break. I won't look like a blowfish going back to school! Yay! After being referred by a few of my clients in my field of work, I decided that I was going to schedule a new patient appointment with Berkeley Lake Dental and sadly for me, it was a big mistake. First let me give a disclaimer that this review is not intended to bash or put this down this office because it may be a great experience for you, unfortunately it was not for me and I am going to share that. The office was very nice and clean, a bit small but comfortable still and everyone "seemed" to be nice. After the usual new patient paperwork and video, a short wait and I was back there with the dental hygienist whom was AMAZING by the way, definitely going to give credit where it is due, she had an aura about her that put you at ease and she was gentle, no one likes going to the dentist so she made it a pleasant experience, and also was kind with her criticism and exam results, seemed to be concerning and genuine. Thumbs up to her, keep doing a great job, not sure of her name, but she was Asian I believe. The dentist himself came in after to go over my treatment plan, not sure if he was having a bad day or not, but he seemed very nonchalant, and to be honest he had no character, very short with his words and bland, but hey we are not here to be friends so I have nothing good or bad to really say about him. I will say it was not the most pleasant experience. After speaking to him, nothing was done the first day which seemed strange but I guess they do things their own way, I was on my way to the exit receptionist where I was handed a bill and a treatment plan, she really didn't seem to know what she was talking about with reviewing it besides the deposit I would have to put down upon scheduling, lol I am a paying customer so that's fine but it seemed as if that was the only important part, so before I let my frustration get the best of me I thanked her and left. By the way their system was down so they couldn't schedule me immediately, I was promised a phone call I never received. I WAS THE ONE THAT HAD TO CALL THEM back and ask for an appointment, lol strange. After being told that they are taking walk in patients, which I felt like I could have received a call about that, I was assured that the next day I would receive a call because the system Would be up and I could be scheduled, if not the next day, definitely the following Tuesday after the holiday weekend. I stressed my time friendly situation seeing that I am leaving the country soon for a little while. Tuesday comes around, no call, no nothing, understood. I wait until Thursday to find a new dentist and after that office instructed me to call Berkeley and have them send over my treatment plan if they are willing, the receptionist said that I have a copy which I could bring to them, pretty much saying no that she was not going to that, understood. She then went on to say that she was going to call today and schedule me seeing that the system is coincidentally back up and running today. I felt like that was a bold face lie and I don't feel it is right for me to be a paying customer and be lied to as if I was being done a favor or something. I honestly feel like they just had no interest in helping me, for whatever reason I will not say but I have my personal feelings because I am the total opposite of all the clients that has referred me. Read between the lines. I am very disappointed because for the simple fact, you never know who you are helping, you never know their public influence, I deal with thousands of people a week and I could have been a great source of reference to your office but now I will share my bad experience with my entire network and it may not mean a lot to you all but there's definitely an effect. Word of mouth is still the most powerful tool in marketing. I give you one star Berkeley dental and that one star goes to the dental hygienist, as for everyone else..I've said enough. So I was looking for a new dentist. A teacher friend of mine goes to Berkeley Lake, and raved about it, so I thought I'd give it a try, even though it is a bit of a drive from my house. My first dentist visit in a few years, after finally getting dental insurance. And although I'm in some pain, I don't think it could have gone any better. I initially scheduled an appointment over the phone to see whether I could get one wisdom tooth removed (there was some discomfort the past week). The person on the phone was very patient and helpful, quickly finding a time that worked for me. Leading up to the appointment, I received text reminders with the address of the location and details of my appointment. And on the day of my visit, I was greeted by the friendly staff. After getting an x-ray done, the staff compared my wisdom teeth removal options and their respective prices in an easy-to-understand manner (side by side comparison on paper). I decided to remove all three of my remaining wisdom teeth after considering the finances. They did not put me under for the removal, which I actually appreciated. Lots of my co-workers were concerned that I would not be able to drive after the removal, but Dr. Huynh simply numbed all the appropriate areas and removed three of my teeth with no issues, all while I watched Captain Phillips on the tv. He did a great job despite some struggles requiring a lot of elbow grease. However, I think the highlight of my visit was the dental assistant! She was extremely friendly throughout the whole appointment, despite probably working past her lunch break (the removal took a while), and did a great job keeping me comfortable throughout the procedure. My mouth hurt a lot the evening of the procedure, but the prescription drugs worked their magic. It's been less than 24 hours now, and I actually feel good enough to try eating some non-liquid foods. I have definitely found my new dentist, and I'd highly recommend Berkeley Lake Dental to everyone! read more

My wife and I are pleased to have discovered this place thanks to a grand opening flyer we received about a year or so ago. This place is really nice! Lovely decor and creature comforts. I was almost reluctant to share about the place cause its nice that they are never particularly crowded either. First timers and routine visitors alike are never bombarded with paperwork. They show a movie of your choice while you get your service done, and there is usually some type of candy for you on your way out. I recently moved to the area, and needed to visit the dentist so I decided to come to Dr.Huynh's practice due to location and positive reviews so I made an appointment online. During my first visit, the first thing I noticed was cleanliness of the facility, and how immaculate the lobby area was, and was greeted by an enthusiastic receptionist with a bubbly, outgoing personality. I didn't have to wait long before my x-rays were taken to help them understand what I needed done, and the entire scope of work was explained and how it would benefit me the most based on my insurance and time. I scheduled future visits to have some fillings replaced after my cleaning. When I returned for my fillings, I had the most fantastic assistant help the dentist with the fillings and made me feel comfortable even though I am not a fan of lidocaine injections! They even have a display setup so you can watch some netflix during the procedure. (I watched "friends" lol) I definitely recommend Berkeley Lake Dental if you are in need of a visit to the dentist, and already look forward to my next appointment, which is unusual. read more

This was my first most greatest experience ever with a new dentist, since I moved here. I was in a lot of pain from all four of my wisdom teeth. I was also overdue for a cleaning. I went online and searched for the closest dental office in the area that was able to do same day treatment. I scheduled the appointment within minutes of calling, and they took me immediately. That's what I really liked most about Berkeley lake dental. Patient care was most important to them. After I got my cleaning and all 4 WT taken out all in the same day, amber went over all the post op care instructions and schedule me back accordingly. The staff was amazing and very professional to me. Mrs. Noemi was super gentle during the procedure and Dr Huynh was so sweet and reassuring- he made sure I was ok during the whole process due to my anxiety. I really would give 6 stars if I could. I love this dental office... and I've had my fair share of dental office visits, but this one has got to be my favorite! I've always been scared of the dentist; as a kid, teenager, and as an adult. I'm not sure if it's the tools or the needles going into my mouth, but all that stuff just makes me cringe. but going to dr. huynh's office at berkeley lake dental isn't so bad. it's actually not bad at all! it is the most comforting dental office out of the dental offices I've encountered/experienced. throughout the years, I have visited dentists that I just notice from the road or from my dad seeing in the local newspaper/newsletter. but no more. I did thorough research on this final wisdom tooth extraction. I have no idea why it took me this long to this, but I'm glad I did. I researched all over the web via google and looked over plenty of review sites and found dr. huynh and his numerous amount of positive reviews. there are so many reasons I can vouch for this dental office, but here are some things I want to point out from my positive experience :: +the vicinity is clean, organized, bright, and modern + the staff and dr. huynh are friendly, welcoming/hospitable, informative, caring, and professional + I was greeted from the moment I walked in + they gave me a very thorough x-ray and dental exam w/ explanations of the results and additional tips/tricks on how to maintain a healthy mouth + dr. huynh went ahead prescribed me pain killers & antibiotics a day ahead so I can prep my body for the surgery (I've never gotten my prescription meds pre-op before and so this was pretty impressive to me) + the whole system for appointments verification is quick, easy, and modern. you will either get an email or a text from the dental office and all you can to do on your end is click confirm (if by email) or text back "y" if you are confirming by text + the staff inform you about the aftercare of the dental work/surgery before you get drugged up, instead of telling you about them after when you're not fully alert *ahem* like many other dental offices + the staff treat you like family. they call and check up on you a day after and even call you on their closed office days to make sure you're okay; loved this! + they also schedule a check-up a week after your wisdom extraction to make sure everything is healing properly (this is also impressive since I've never had this feature nor had has any other dental office called to check up on my healing process) + every dental chair has a tv that is tilted for your own viewing. I was given headphones and asked what movie I wanted to watch; very nice :) + they're open saturday!! (it says closed on yelp, but they are indeed open. the hours are 8:30am - 3pm) there's just so many other reasons why this office is my favorite, but I shall conclude here. overall, great experience, minimal pain, and quick healing (thanks to the dissolving sutures). this is definitely my new go-to dentist! read more

They were really nice and pleasant. However, the practice lacked experience. Many of the the staff were "new or in training". Only one hygienist was at this location. The service was standard, and I felt like I was somewhat talked down to related to a specified area. I'm considering making another appointment, but my case maybe way too advanced! read more

Absolutely wonderful experience!! Dr. Huynh and his employees were AMAZING!! He was friendly and gentle and even worked around my vacation plans making sure that I wouldn't be in pain and would be able to enjoy myself. I would highly recommend this office 100% and I will now have no problem going to the dentist, except for the cost that is LOL. read more
