I come to this dentist office for a little while, and have received multiple fillings and a cleaning from them. Those visits were great. I was able to schedule them at a time for convenient to me, and was usually able to be serviced as soon as I arrived. My issue(s) stem from my most recent visits. I made an appointment for mid-June for a wisdom teeth extraction. I arrived, and as soon as I head back I was informed that they would need to take x-rays on my teeth. Fine. After the x-ray, I was taken to have a seat and thought that my appointment would proceed. I was soon told that the x-rays showed my wisdom teeth were rooted too deep and the current dentist didn't feel confident that she would be able to do it at that moment, and that it was recommended that I reschedule and have another dentist at the office do the procedure. Now I was thankful for the honesty; however, I was a bit thrown off as I had left work early (and had already bought food and other items that I would need postop) just for this appointment. I was also confused as to why they waited until the day of my appointment to take the x-rays, and not the multiple previous times I'd been at the office and we'd talked about my wisdom teeth. But since I've had good experiences with this office in the past, I trusted them and rescheduled my appointment.
The recommended dentist only worked on Tuesdays and Thursdays and was apparently booked, so I had to settle for a mid-July date. On Wednesday July 10, I confirmed my appointment as usual and even called to ask follow up questions. Everything was fine. On Thursday, July 11, one hour before my appointment, I received a text stating that they'd cancelled my appointment due to the doctor stating that my roots being too long and would instead refer me to a specialist. Again, this was ONE HOUR BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT. I'd already taken two days off from work for this procedure, and again bought food and other items for the post-op. I understand that the dentist is only in the office two days out of the week, but my X-rays were in that office for at least a month's worth of Tuesdays and Thursdays for them to review and inform me ahead of time that I would need to see a specialist. "Pissed off" isn't even enough to explain my feelings. This was the second time that they'd cancelled my appointment, and although I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, this was just extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to my time.
So although they have been great with fillings and cleanings, I will never visit this office again. That was enough for me. read more
