I've been shopping at Beretta Gallery every year, and my fiancé has purchased firearms from there, so I'm very familiar with the store and have always had a good impression--until today. I stopped by earlier and went up to the second floor, which was completely unattended and honestly very messy. I spent about 20 minutes trying to find things on my own with no help at all. Eventually, Evan came in, but the experience only got worse. He was extremely rude and came across as very pretentious. Every question I asked was met with a dismissive "we don't have that," without any effort to help or suggest alternatives. Since I was shopping for gifts, I kept browsing, and he then said, "just tell me what you want so you don't make a mess," which was honestly shocking and inappropriate. This store was beautiful and had a wonderful selection of outdoor gear, fine shotguns, and rifles. The first floor is what I would call English style outdoor wear. The second floor is more American style, and the third floor is the gun room. They had a variety of shotguns but really shine in the break action hunting and sporting models. They had everything from affordable Silver Pigeons and Benelli 828s to completely handmade weapons in the 6 figure range. The workers were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We were highly impressed with their expansive knowledge of the ridiculous quilt of gun laws in this part of the country. Second time at this store. First time was great back in Dec of 2024. Just Came 5 minutes before they closed looking for a quick beretta hat purchase, the sales associates were super rude. We told them we understand they're closing soon and trying to get out but the people we interacted with were not friendly at all even after we spent $80 bucks. Not a fun time visiting from California. Won't ever recommend this store even though I own their rifles : ( I have a Beretta rifle and I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. read more

Had the opportunity to visit the store on a trip east (from California) and saw a lovely side by side. Called the store and paid for the gun on November 20th and was told the gun would ship the next day. 11 days later and the gun has not shipped! Have called and texted multiple times and was assured gun was about to ship. Not the level of customer service I wanted but might be what you can expect from another large company. read more

Got a Baretta a300 ultima from another retailer, not this location. Out of the box the gun is set to a lower capacity than the specs despite the fact that the full specs are perfectly legal in NY. It's a good gun, but Baretta customer service is a disaster. Unresponsive and attempted to pass the blame onto the retailer. Thankfully, Bass Pro Shops is willing to handle the interface with Baretta to get it fixed. Hopefully a distribution outlet for their products will get a better response since the company doesn't care about the end client. Even though I like the gun overall, I won't buy another Baretta ever again. These are expensive items and should ideally be delivered in perfect working order and if things happen, which they sometimes do, customer inquiries should be taken seriously. Try to leave a review on the Baretta website and you are redirected to a page that won't load. read more

Utterly disappointing. Very little inventory in terms of sizes. Wanted to pick up a few of their polo shirts or t shirts - only small and double XL available. Really? Are you trying not to sell products? They had one polo shirt (not my size) in a strange, thin material. Horrible. What happened to thick cotton? The patterns of some of the other items were 100 years out of fashion. Choices were few and far in between. They didn't have much for shooting enthusiasts either, which is the whole point of the brand. Where are the luxury pistol cases? Where is the logo merchandise? Overall, just a weak "selection." I purchased 2 shotguns from the NYC Beretta Gallery. The first was a DT11L and the second was a 687 Silver Pigeon III. Both were fitted by Ed Anderson who handled everything personally. Ed is simply the most knowledgeable and accommodating person you will ever meet! When I got into medical school in New York City, I knew moving here meant adjusting to some changes. This included the strong sentiment against the second amendment. So I was pleasantly surprised to find a high-end gun store in the middle of Manhattan. In light of current events - coronapocalyse - I came here to check out their inventory. The first and second floor has a fine selection of clothing and accessories. On the third floor, they have a large assortment of rifles and shotguns on display. I was able to get a good insight on my best option for home and personal protection. I saw some beautiful pieces here, to include higher end guns that went for five figures. This entire store is presented beautifully. It is classy, posh, and staffed with friendly and upbeat people. I was thoroughly impressed by this place, and I'm glad to find more people in Manhattan that support the second amendment. In spite of restrictions that NYC and the NY governor put in place, you an still get a gun for home protection. It helps if you're part of the blue line family. But even if you're not, you just have to jump through a few more hoops, and you're fine. If you are like me, and appreciate you second amendment rights, come give this place a try. 4.5 Stars. Never thought Beretta would have a flag ship store in NYC, but here it is. Three stories of gear, First floor mostly upland hunting outfits, bags, ties and jewelry. Second floor mostly waterfowl hunting gear and camo. Third floor are all the shotguns and the gunsmith. Everyone there were extremely friendly and helpful. I spent most of my time on the third floor. Very enthusiastic salespeople who are very knowledgable. There was one fellow in particular who was a master shooter. Gave some great advice about how to pick a shotgun and even helped with my form and stance. He told some great stories and gave a tour of the place. They had shotguns ranging from $300 to $130,000. They had Hemingway's original shotgun in a museum case. They had one gorgeous shotgun for $30K that had intricate scrolling with Chinese dragons. Apparently it was not for hunting dragons (like the duck guns have scrolling of ducks and retrievers). I was told that it was a pheasant gun and pheasants originated in China so it was an homage to the ancestors of the pheasant. One day when I move to the English countryside, buy a Range Rover and and hunting dog, I will come back and purchase this gun to hunt these dragon pheasants. They let you pick up the guns and they help fit it to your needs or tell you what you need to modify it your needs. I've never seen that done in any of the local shops I've been to, but they were not high end shops selling ultra high end merchandise. The only reason for deduction in points is that they had no pistols on display. I was told that in NYC that customers are not even allowed to handle pistols, even if they are former law enforcement, the city is very strict about such things. I still think it would have been nice if they had them in a secure display that was sealed just to show off what Beretta produces. Anyway, it was a nice treat to check out the shop, they have some really nice outerwear even if you do not shoot or go hunting. If you own a Beretta, hunt or shoot clays, it is worth checking out if you are walking around Madison Avenue. read more

Hmmm.... the shooting gallery is on the 3rd floor. I thought the selection was "okay", just one of each model in different gauges. I was expecting something more like the high end gun, large gun rooms you see at Bass Pro or even speciality stores like Pacific Sporting Arms. Nope. Not really, People said hi but I would have like to have the gun just put a bunch of guns in front of me and just touch them all. Really, I would think this store should be tailored to not to sell but just touch touch touch. It was more of.... no chat and look.... like the museum down the street. read more

First of all you don't expect to see a gun store in the middle of downtown Manhattan. NY City has a BAD attitude about guns. I spent a week vacation there this week and had heard about this flagship store in the heart of anti gun territory. I went there to look and not buy because I can get "almost" any gun or accessory I need in the Atlanta Ga area where we live. Because of City ordinances they are listed as a clothing store. The guns are up on the 3rd floor. My visit was pleasant. The staff was cordial, but not overly nice. They are jam packed with nice merchandise but expect to pay top dollar. They mostly carry Beretta O/U shotguns with a few guns from companies they own like Benelli, and Franchi and some rifles from its affiliated stores It was rainy and not much business was in the store so I got to spend about 25 minutes talking with a nice gentlemen in the guns area. Being a flagship store their guns ranged from the entry level Silver Pigeon 1's (2K) to a handmade 3D engraved O/U with a sword combo (225K). There is a huge selection of high end O/U from 10-20K. If you are in that kind of market, you probably know what you are looking and sale prices are not really that important to you. Nevertheless you might find a deal from time to time with some of the new gun lines and affiliates they are teaming up with. For guys like me $5K on any hunting gun is "overkill" pardon the pun. But overall, the store personnel was nice to a guy who did not but anything. In fact a nice lady there said to check back after Christmas for some up to 40% off sales. This store is really an anomaly in an anti-gun area. It is worth checking out if you are in the Manhattan district. read more

My shooting skills could stand for some improvement. I'm not bad at sporting clays, but I could be better. Once I reach my personal best, this is one of the first places I'll go and check out their 28 gauge shotgun selection. In the meantime, I'll settle for their classic 'hunting in the countryside' apparel which is surprisingly not frumpy but rather smart (simple quilted jackets that actually fit!) and cool (for their tweeds & plaids!). read more

This is one of Beretta's flagship stores. The first two floors are clothing and "stuff" and the third floor is the gunroom. Beretta clothing is very good and I own some nice tweed vests and a wonderful logen coat. The coat is very high quality and cost far less than a comparable coat would in Vienna. They have very nice tattersall shirts but the sleeves are too short. The sleeves on their jackets are too short also - I suppose there aren't enough very tall Italian men to make extra-long clothing worthwhile! I appreciate the courtesy and helpfulness of the people who work there. The gun room doesn't interest me much. I already own a Beretta SxS that altho it's a nice gun, is just a bit clunky. Their O/Us have a m ore refined feel but I don't like O/Us and won't buy one. I much prefer my English SxS game guns. However, the staff is very helpful and courteous. Beretta has a warranty on their new guns but you'll have to fight to get them to honor it. My SxS shot off face after a few months and they couldn't fix it and balked at replacing it even tho that was in their warranty. Anyway, the NYC shop is a nice place to look at some interesting guns and to get some very nicely tailored clothing. Don't expect this to be a place to get cheap camo! read more

Visited the store to look at a specific rifle. Salesman not very forthcoming. I called the next day with a question. Had to leave a message and number, as the gun room didn't pick up. No one called back. Called a second time next day and the same thing happened. By then I was cooling on the purchase. Went back to NYC two days later and visited the store again, not with a lot of enthusiasm. The salesman was chatting with someone else. Couldn't get his attention and by then I had decided not to give him my business. Looked things over for a few more minutes and then left. Too bad for him, because if he'd been on the ball he could have had a nice sale. read more

I purchased my 682 Gold E Sporting shotgun in 12 ga. here. I went pheasant hunting with a S&W semi. First time and hit very little. I had a serious talk with a good friend/fellow hunter about this situation. The both of us decided to get involved in shotgun. Two 682's later, the both of us went to both New Jersey and Suffolk County, New York to LEARN how to shoot properly. Several lessons were involved. Bruce Buck and Orvis comes to mind. Also the help of the world famous Ed Anderson of Beretta was forthcoming. We also had a few trips out to the Peconic River Sportsmens Club. Both Ed and an old friend from Northrop Grumman Aerospace are members and got us in. The next time we went pheasant hunting, we were out and out killers. The excellent shotguns and the training were outstanding. The friendship and skill of Mr. Anderson cannot be beat. At Orvis, they check you out with an adjustable shotgun. This "fits" the firearm to you. Ed was pretty much right on in that department. My hunting buddy needed to have his firearm's stock modified by Ed due to a shorter arm length. Perfect job. Oh, they also sell clothing on the two lower floors. I have a number of items I have purchased. Both hunting and dress gear. You can't beat this place as far as I am concerned. Considering that the company has been in business since 1526, I'm very pleased. read more

I am shopping for various shotguns for hunting deer and bird and he was disinterested, unhelpful and not very knowledgeable. The Beretta store is one of the coolest places in all of NYC! I am an avid shooter and own my own gun shop, and I have never seen a more impressive collection of fine shotguns in my entire life!!! This store houses the finest shotguns in the world and is conveniently located on 5th Avenue. The clothes are also very nice. The staff on the third floor (Scott) is extremely knowledgeable. Furthermore, if I ever needed my shotgun serviced in New York, Beretta would be the first place I would go. I went in the store to try and select a new O/U hoping Mr. Anderson would be there. Sadly he wasn't and the salesmen that was there actually seemed bothered to have to work. Went to my local gun shop and picked up the same gun there. Terrible service when you ask questions on how things work, and they should do anything to try and make a sale the person actually discouraged you to buy anything. read more
