The space was clean, and the chairs were surprisingly comfortable, which made the experience even better. The technician was very friendly and did a great job cleaning up my eyebrows. I had threading done for both my brows and upper lip--she was quick, gentle, and very precise. I have sensitive skin, so I'm usually pretty picky about where I go for threading. I tend to give a place a couple of tries, but if I experience pain or irritation afterward, I won't return. Thankfully, that wasn't the case here at all. I was assigned a nail tech I had never seen before, and the experience was nothing like what I'm used to here. She took an unusually long time to do a simple French tip manicure and pedicure, and despite repeatedly asking for the tips to be thinner, she continued making them thick and uneven. My nails literally look like McDonald's arches--crooked, bulky, unevenly filed, and poorly shaped. I originally asked for a unicorn finish, but was told it required gel, which I didn't want this time. After agreeing, it became clear there was confusion about how to do it, so I declined. Despite that, I was still given a gel French tip, which again took forever and still turned out poorly. Thankfully, one of the regular nail techs stepped in and did a great job fixing my toes--but by then the experience was already frustrating. At checkout, I was told my total was $138 for a deluxe pedicure I did not receive. We had to discuss the charges, and I ended up paying $108--still far too much for nails I hate and now have to get repainted somewhere else. I've always trusted this salon, which makes this even more disappointing. Consistency matters, and this visit missed the mark completely.
