2015 S63 Coupe, Motor/Trans mounts, AC line. Absolutely fair prices and EXCELLENT WORK Thanks again Michael and crew.

Precautionary measure to protect your car from scratches is just little things I notice and appreciate about a good shop.

Discovered this Mercedes indie shop through a Facebook group page. If you have a Mercedes AMG car, you should find a trusted indie shop that offers quality service and reasonable prices. I had been taking my car to a Mercedes-Benz dealer for routine Service A before finding Benztec. While I was generally satisfied with the work and customer service I got at the dealer, I couldn't help feeling like a sucker for paying so much for an oil change there. The only reason I was taking my car to the dealer was because I hadn't found a trusted indie shop yet until I heard about Benztec. The shop is owned and operated by AMG car enthusiasts who take care of their cars. This gives me confidence that they know what they're doing and will treat your car with the same care that you give yours. I'm very particular (maybe a bit OCD) about proper oil level, torque specs, and cleanliness, so when I find a shop that is meticulous and thorough (even if it's for a simple oil change) then they got my business and referral. Benztec understands that their customers care about their cars, and kudos to Proctor and Michael for taking care of my car. They work on exotic cars too, but if you have a Mercedes, particularly an AMG model, give them a call.

First of all, BIG BIG THANK YOU to MIKE and his BENZTECH Team for repairing my 2015 MBZ E63S. Runs great and no issues what so ever. They are awesome ppl overall to do business with. Mike and his crew start in contact with you and answers your questions. If your baby is not feeling well or just need a check up, BENZTECH is the doctor to visit. The Team are very reliable and very honest. So I been to a couple of local dealership or called a couple dealership and gave me similar answers. Answers mainly, "we know your desperate and we want your money". A year an a half ago, I had my breaks and rotors done. It was around $2400-$2600 for just the front and $1900 for the back. Now (2023), just for the front, it's $4500-ish. I had other issues such-as water pump, control arm, service-A, and other minor stuff. Dealerships would had charged me close to $15k to $18k. So a nephew of mine highly recommended me Mine from BENZTECH. I was "iffy" bcus I never took my car outside the dealership to get any repairs or service... and I WAS WRONG. Mike and BENZTECH Team did an excellent job repairing and servicing my car with a Team of the cost. Besides business relations, they are very welcoming, easy thing ppl. I never met Mike or his Team until I drove to their shop to pick up my car. And they were busy working on a GL63 but didn't hesitate to greet me and my wife. I HIGLEY RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO HAVE OR DON'T HAVE AN AMG TO SEE THE AMG DOCTORS. THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU 100% Note: I would just go to BENZTECH to see the cars on their site... AMG Galore

My beloved CLS63 in good hands at Benztec

Best Mercedes-Benz shop around! Michael and his crew are honest people and really know their stuff. I highly recommend them for anything Mercedes-Benz related!

Definitely my go to shop for all my vehicle maintenance and upgrade needs. Great customer service, quality work, reasonably priced! I've gotten the following work done by Benztec over the past years even when they were located in South El Monte. - Wavetrac LSD upgrade - brake pad and rotor replacement - oil change with Motul 300V - spoiler removal and re-clear coat - installed fire extinguisher I'm sure there's a lot more things which I missed. Anything from regular Mercedes' to AMG's even high end exotics, they have the knowledge to resolve it for you. Highly recommended!

They responded quickly, were courteous, and didn't try to tack on a diagnostic fee just to take a look. When I dropped off the car, the technician walked me through their process, starting with the bulbs before moving into any potential electrical issues (which I really appreciated.) It ended up being the simplest fix: both bulbs were burned out. They had everything replaced within a few hours. Fair pricing, clear communication, and no upselling. I'll definitely be back for future repairs. Side note- they have the cutest shop kitten. ‍

They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.

I found Francis through an online search because of the many positive reviews, and during our first interaction he was friendly, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. He ordered the part directly from Acura and quoted me a fair price. My car was ready the following day, but when I arrived to pick it up, Francis informed me that my vehicle had been involved in an accident while in his care. He explained that another driver had been speeding through the parking lot and crashed into him. He gave me the other driver's information, and I contacted him immediately. The other driver gave a very different version of events. He stated that he was backing out of a parking space and did not see Francis. He also told me that Francis provided his driver's license information but refused to share insurance information. Now, more than a month later, I still have a damaged vehicle and have not received insurance information from Francis despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and outreach from Mercury Insurance. I trusted this shop to take care of my car, not return it to me in worse condition and leave me responsible for a $500 deductible. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency. Francis acted as though this situation was not a major concern and repeatedly assured me that the other driver would "take care of it," which has not happened. According to the other driver, Francis even asked him to change the story about what happened. I chose this business because of its strong reviews and the image Francis presents, but my experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I believe customers deserve honesty, transparency, and responsibility when their vehicle is in someone else's care.

FIND ANOTHER SHOP!!…read more Terrible customer service and NO communication!! I took my truck in for a stage 1 build after speaking with Evan (owner). I was WELL AWARE that the Ford 5R110W is not a transmission they normally work on but he asked me to bring it in anyway. I dropped it off on the day/time we had agreed on. After not hearing anything for 2 weeks, I stopped by to check on the truck and agree on an approximate date of completion. I wasn't given anything specific other than excuses about this not being what they normally work on. The girl with the colorful hair told me they should be able to get it started by the end of the following week. Once again I stopped by 2 weeks later and got nothing but more of the same excuses. I was told that they are backed up but I cannot believe that EVERYONE waits over 4 weeks before anyone even looks at their trucks... with ZERO notification of any kind. I finally decided to pick up the truck as it was there for over 1 month, UNTOUCHED!! ANY communication regarding the status of the truck would have avoided this experience. I was looking forward to having these guys work on my truck. Knowing what I know now, I don't care what they think they can do. Running a service oriented business requires PROVIDING a service... both mechanical service and customer service in this case. I have nothing good to say but stay away. Update... This guy's response does not surprise me. All lies and deceit. I NEVER CALLED, NEVER HARASSED, and I was NEVER told it was an indefinite wait. Lashing out at me for his shortcomings should speak for itself. FIND ANOTHER SHOP!!
